    Omg. They better not throw my fish 😡🤢!!!! Lil buddy will do fine- you had expert assistance. I know it will work out!! But the visual of the box flying across the room is a little haunting 😳! I will let you know how it all turns out... and again- thank you Bob!

    • @blufish11
      @blufish11 Před 7 lety

      Just did a search and some info is that there are vent holes in the red stripe and to not cover the red stripe and if the pencil hole in the box is used to line the red stripe up with it. Thought there was some reason for it wasn't sure wonder what Cory says.....

    Hi Bob, I have a problem and maybe you can help. All of a sudden my well water has high nitrates and therefore my tanks have high nitrates. Any idea what I should do? RO/DI then add buffers? Seachem denitrate? Biopelllet reactor? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Thank you for this! I plan to start breeding fish, mostly guppies and tropical schooling fish, but I am considering trying bettas again (didn't work last time...), and if I do breed them, I want to sell some from my etsy store. I think that would be a fun way for me to re-home my babies and also make a small amount of money.

    I poke a hole in the corner near the edge of the styrofoam so the heat pack doesn't suffocate because I had a customer tell me she lost a couple snails when her pack failed :/ the rest survived but I was bummed. news paper packed in between everything works well, I even ship snails in cups so they have no chance of getting crushed. ( unless some idiot runs over them in a truck -_-)

      Tk Aquatics my post office ( and the one near my mom) are really good about live animals. they understand small time sales and how important careful handling is. neither have made a big deal even shipping feeder cultures like vinager eels ^^ I even showed them what they were. I'm really sorry about your experience some people just don't care

    • @zachzul
      @zachzul Před 7 lety +1

      That's why over here in Europe, at least in the country I live, it's not allowed to ship live animals using a "standard" post office or service. You have to use a specialized service provider/courier, and these guys usually treat the boxes very well. Yes, it costs around 4 times as much, but as we're dealing with live animals, I'd say that's perfectly okay ...

    • @tkaquatics6134
      @tkaquatics6134 Před 7 lety

      Thanks. The fish at least made it fine. I now go a little further to another location. The guy there knows if I am coming in instead of doing a pick up I have live fish in my box. He treats them with care. Makes me feel a little better about leaving them even though I know they still get tossed around by other employees but what can you do.
