    Please check the FAA Rules as when you make money (actually it is business purposes) from Drone photos or video you are required to have an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate. Weight of the drone only has to do with registering the drone with the FAA. The DJI Mini line is under the threshold at 249 grams so registration is not required. Great Video!

    Your information is incorrect. For anything other than recreational flying, you need a Part 107 commercial drone license. The weight of the aircraft doesn't matter.

      @@mikem6796 I am a huge fan of the DJI Air 3 and use it as my main drone. It has 2 camera lenses so that you can easily zoom in to crop your subject. The longer battery life is huge!!

    Hi, is it important for a drone to capture HDR photography? New to this.

    • @ShootingRealEstate

      I don't use HDR for my drone. One shot and just some basic adjustments in Lightroom and you have a great image.

    Is sony A74 a good choice for real estate videography? Please give ur valuable feedback

      I am using the Sony A7 III and it meets all my needs and the newest camera looks even better and should give amazing results

    • @ShootingRealEstate
      @ShootingRealEstate  Před rokem

      The A74 is incredible. The dynamic range with just a single shot (no bracketing or HDR) and you have enough information in the highlights and shadows for your images. I recently switched and its a game changer.

    The 1st drone suggested by Scott for beginners (largely for someone like myself) would not be ideal on the basis of drone capability, customer needs, and time efficiency.
    Wind resistance, depending on acreage coverage the drone has to perform to accommodate a sale RIGHT NOW as homes are not one size fits all.
    Customer needs, value, value, value, the customer wants value for their money spent, and want to see it in action, and along those lines comes a storyboard plus excitement.
    Time is of the essence. As a real estate photographer, it's my business to shoot pictures, not forecast the wind conditions. So purchasing the beginners drone model is akin to being hit by a blind side obstacle.

      I get what you are saying. Time is money. But he mentioned that in the Mini2 Cons. Plus im not sure where you are located but in the USA its a FAA Remote Pilots responsibility to get the WX Outlook prior to any flight. What kind of a Pilot doesnt? Very few drones can handle all wind! This time of year even my Mavic 3 struggles at times.
      He is just laying it all out there for them to decide. If he skipped the Mini2 im sure someone would jump him for that too!

  • @JustinDavito

    The Air 2s seems like overkill and isn’t needed. Why do we need 5.4k resolution when most devices are 4k or lower?

    • @chriscrush7363
      @chriscrush7363 Před 9 měsíci +1

      I have the air 2 and I think it’s plenty for real estate, around $500 right now. If you can afford it I would recommend the air 3 that just came out.

    You say that at 250 grams and above you have to be a licensed drone pilot. Is this is in Canada? I believe in the US it just means you don't have to register the drone and to fly any drone for business you have to pass 107. Thanks for the video.

    • @toddbvr2
      @toddbvr2 Před rokem

      In the US, you have to be FAA certified to do any commercial drone activity.

      I had the the air 2 beautiful images. But it’s almost the same price as the air 2s I would get get the S.
      I now have the Mavic 3 and let me tell you….
      It does a great JOB! A little expensive but the 4/3 sensor is worth it for those night time shots.
