Great video. Try to count the times he says basically.
Probably +10 times, multiple comments have pointed that out. 🤣 thanks for watching!
I support him saying 'basically' as many times as he wants to, it's his video.
It doesn't matter, lol, what matters is that is great content.
Just make a new drinking game.. Shot every time he says it.. ;) jk

Anyone notice I filmed this entire video on my IPHONE!? 😆 #1camerabodyprobz
Great advice! I'd love to see how you incorporate flash into your workflow and how you capture necessary but ugly spaces (attics, utility rooms, etc.).
Hey Matt! Thanks so much, appreciate the feedback! Yes, plan to do a follow up video on editing and another on how I use flash now as well! And good idea about the spaces. Thanks for watching!
This is such a well laid out video. Straight to the point and no holding back any info. Much appreciated 🙏🏿
Thanks for the feedback Isaac! Appreciate it greatly. 🤙🏻
Basically,
one of the best tutorials/ guide! Thank you!
Wow really? Thanks so much! Appreciate it greatly!! Definitely wanting to do more like this. Thanks for watching! :)
I trust your advice! I am shooting a show home today for portfolio work and needed a short tutorial about work flow and process. Thank you for setting up the chapters to quickly go back to key points!
Thanks for watching, glad it was helpful!
This is amazing to see the process. Thank you. This could jumpstart people's careers in RE photography. Well done on the details!
Thanks so much! Truly appreciate the feedback, that's all I want for people watching it! Thanks for watching
Thanks for putting together. I should mention though that F8 is The sharpest aperture to use with a 2.8 lens. Also you can get a cheap wired remote online that should save you from having to keep contorting around the camera and save yourself waiting three seconds every picture. Also if it has a Wi-Fi and wireless app you can frame your shots on a nice large tablet or laptop screen instead of tiny built in monitor.
Hey man! Thanks for the feedback and info, appreciate it!
Sony IEM app allows you to frame from a phone and control shutter no problemo
I use the TriggerTrap cable and phone app. For any mirror-up, time exposure, self-timer, time-lapse, HDR, and WiFi wireless photography, it’s a must-have.
Great content! Good job explaining what you are doing and the whys. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for the feedback, appreciate it!
I’ve watched a dozen or more videos similar to this, by far the easiest to understand and the most to the point. Great job

Great vid. Got my first real estate gig coming up soon, wanted to prepare and this clip helped me out a lot. Cheers!
Hey Jamahl! Thanks for the feedback, best of luck on it! Let me know if you have any questions.
Really good video! I am too into re photography here in Italy and often I find myself shooting vertical images because of how the houses are built here ahah it's a bit tricky to compose this way but it helps to enhance the space of small rooms 🙃
Hey Leonardo! Wow, photographing RE in Italy sounds exciting! That's a great idea to shoot vertical images. I do some like that for social media content for the agents. Thanks for watching man!
Really well done. Thanks for making this. I just did my first real estate shoot today.

Hey! Thanks so much for the feedback, glad you found it valuable! Best of luck, let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again!
Have you never had a paying job in photography before? I’m asking because if you have done other paid jobs in photography then taking RE listing pics is about as easy as it gets. Only advice is make sure you have insurance if you are in homes that people live in. That part is very important
Great Video, very interesting, straight to the point, Well done, thanks for sharing, is good to see creators that go straight to teaching and don't talk for an hour in circles. I did subscribe looking forward to more good work done.

Super helpful video! Can you make a video about your Lightroom/Photoshop export setting for clients, IG, etc?
Thanks so much! I have a couple of Lightroom/PS tutorials on the channel. For export settings, when we deliver the photos, we give them full res + smaller MLS sizing options to download from. Thanks for watching!
Amazing!! Thank you for this video.
Do you have any video where you teach how you blend the 3 bracket images on Lightroom or Photoshop?
Thanks! I believe I show that in this video, along with how I edit them. Thanks for watching! czcams.com/video/fIcSGjbPyiY/video.htmlsi=EcNB5EmNTme-KW-2
@@AndreiRestrepo Thank you so much!
Thank you for the video, I appreciate that.
Thanks so much for checking it out, glad you found it helpful! :)
The last tip is mind blowing! i used to do it manually!
Hey David! Glad you found it valuable, I used to do the same too!
@@AndreiRestrepo Do you have another video about editing this HDR or using the same method with Flash? I would love to see it!!
@@AndreiRestrepo i did already see your other video about Editing and it's GOLD!!! you did put too much value into it.. one last question, do you know why I make my three HDR pictures and open them with photoshop they lose color (Mid tones)? I'm using an M50 Canon Camera, any tip about it? thanks for the answer by the way!!
Thank you! Hmm, do you mean the preview version of the image that you can see on your camera or on your computer before importing, look different from after they’re in the editing program like photoshop? If so, it’s because once you’re in Lightroom or PS, you’re previewing the actual raw file, which is typically flatter. Previewing it on camera and your computer, is the picture profile you had on your camera like standard or something. Let me know if that doesn’t make sense and I can try and clarify more. Thanks!
Awesome video…thank you! I do real estate photography as well and found your video practical. I like your recommended timer method to prevent image blur. Question: I usually drastically reduce the photo file sizes and therefore resolution as requested by real estate agent clients to accommodate requirements for mls listings. What are your general preferred specs, i.e. width by height and resolution if you don’t mind sharing?
Hey! Glad you found the video helpful! So for MLS export settings, I only reduce them by making them max 10MB and under, plus high on sharpening. I don’t resize any edges, and that’s worked fine for me and my client for years! :) thanks for watching!
@@AndreiRestrepo Ahhh great thank you so much. That is helpful. For my most recent shoot I followed and brought the file size down but closer to 7 to 10MB and it made a world of difference. Thank you!
That's the reason in not worth spending money on a high megapixel camera and 20mpx is more than enough
@@og3139 Good point given that images are only for web display rather than print. I have a 24mpx DSLR and Zillow recommended specs are 2048 x 1536 (about the same for MLS) so that usually naturally brings file sizes to the 3MB range.
Very helpful and easy to understand video, thank you for the tips!🙂
Thanks for the feedback! So have more videos on my channel about real estate photo, make sure to check those out too!
I’m going to start my first Real estate job as a photographer and I’m a little nervous. Thank you for the tips!
You got this! Make sure to check out other videos on my channel about real estate photo. Thanks for watching!
how is it going ?
Andrei, I continue to appreciate you videos. They are straight forward and easy to follow! Coming back to this particular video, I have a question. It may be that I've seen more recent videos with other cameras and your reference to using HDR and bracketing, but I've gotten confused on HDR vs AEB. Are these essentially accomplishing the same thing, but with two different approaches? Do I understand correctly that HDR combines the range of exposures back into one file within the camera AND AEB requires you reassemble them in post-software (Lightroom/Photoshop)?
I should mention I'm using the Canon 5D mark iv as used in this video.
Yes, you're correct! As I understand it, you can create an in camera HDR jpg or use the AEB method to have the separate raw or JPG files, and merge in LR or PS. I still do the 5 bracket AEB RAW files and send that off to an editor or blend myself. I'd say try both and see what works best for you!
Well this was a super helpful video! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! I have a lot more updated videos on my channel about RE photo & video if you're interested. Thanks for watching!
Loved your video, it helped doing my first shooting. I am starting to shoot on my real estate transactions. What advice do you have when there is a lot of sunlight coming into the house from the windows? What is the best way to edit it
Thanks so much! You could try doing 5 bracket shots vs 3, to get even more of a dynamic image to blend together and edit. Otherwise you could also underexpose your 3 bracket shot by a -1/2 or -1 stop to capture more window/sunlight detail as well. Thanks for watching!
@@AndreiRestrepo❤
Great video buddy. Very informative!
Hey Justin, thanks so much! Appreciate your support!
I like the chest level height of the camera and the polarized filter ideas. Actually, I use the same Canon 5DM4 and 16-35mm f4.0 lens for my work photos. Sometimes I use the gray card for white balance, in case there are many difference light color temperatures 🙂
Yeah, the CPL helps out a lot! Nice, perfect combo. I know use a Canon R6 Mark II and R5C for photo & video, and the 15-35 RF. Gray card is smart, especially for the mixed lighting! Thanks for watching!
As a real estate photographer, this is refreshing to watch even after doing it for so many years!
Hey Benjamin! That's awesome to hear! What area do you o real estate photography? Thanks for watching!
@@AndreiRestrepo of course Andrei, really enjoyed it

@@AndreiRestrepo Gotcha, and it's grinding still even until now. But parts of New York, clients are still getting away without professional photos haha, slowly changing as we speak

Great advice ! Thank you so much Andrei !
Glad you found it valuable, let me know if you have any additional questions!
@@AndreiRestrepo Thank you very much for your kindness, if there is anything I want to ask I will ask you ☺
@@AndreiRestrepo Hi Andrei ! :)
I actually have a few questions to ask you :)
-Should I use manual mode for video shooting in real estate shooting? Also, how do you think the aperture should be ?
-I am a Sony A6500 user and I have Samyang 12mm f2, Sigma 16mm f1.4 and Sigma 56mm f1.4 lenses right now, do you think these lenses are the right choices for real estate photography or should I sell one or two of them and get a zoom lens ?
-I do HDR shots manually. I'm trying to take shots and edit them via Lighroom by setting the exposure meter to -2, -1, 0, +1, +2 respectively.Do you think this is a good method ?
I hope I didn't bore you with my questions. :)
Best regards
Hey! Sorry for the late reply, so hard to keep up with all the comment threads !
- Yes to manual mode, you want full control! And for video, typically wide open like f/2.8-4 so you can keep your iso low. If you're outside or have enough light, the f/8 like real estate is best.
- I think you can get the job done with those, not sure high wide the 12mm is on your crop sensor camera, but I'm sure it's a good start.
- Yes! Almost the same method as mine, but you don't need every stop, you could just do -2, 0, +2 and most likely get the same results.
Hope this helps!
@@AndreiRestrepo Hey Andrei !
Thank you very much for your advice, I will try it, I wish you good work :)

just stumbled across your videos and wanted to say you are so underrated. This quality content is appreciated so thank you. Am just curious but do you offer virtual tour services? I've been wanting to start a real estate photography business but am discouraged that I'm not able to offer all services so it''s kind of hindered me on getting started.
Hey Cruz, thanks so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I totally understand what you mean, I felt the same way! To start a real estate photography business you just need to be doing real estate photos! No one is telling me that you have to offer videos or virtual tours or anything else, because if you deliver a really great photos and an awesome service, they will keep using you. 👍🏻 The only other thing I offer along with real estate photos highlight videos of the homes, so it’s kind of like a virtual tour of the home, but in a cinematic more interesting way. My clients love it, they never ask about 3-D or virtual tour stuff with me. Plus I’m not interested in doing those things either. Thanks so much for watching!
@@AndreiRestrepo thank you so much for the speedy response, your response has me STOKED.
