Nice, I had the first r6 for about a year, still a great camera! Even though I have 8K capabilities with the r5c, I never use it right now. File sizes are massive, computer struggles a bit to run it, and the 4k is oversampled from it so looks just as good pretty much! Yeah, interested to see what the r5 mark ii will offer!

Interesting, never knew that! Luckily has it hasn’t affected me and my workflow, still working great!

Hey! Not having used the new x4, I think it’s probably still the better camera between the 2. The 1 inch is nice for the modular capabilities, but I imagine the x4 has a nicer image overall. Thanks for watching!

Hey! Why do you think you keep getting turned down? Are you already mentioning pricing when you reach out or that’s when they turn you down? Do you show them examples of your work for it?

@@AndreiRestrepo yes when I tell them the price I get turned down and I really don’t have any examples to show them I do great photography I’m just getting turned down alot I have done a few weddings I have great photos I just don’t how to get more clients I’m really having a hard time here

I’m charging 50 for each headshot and I don’t think that’s asking too much for the editing I have to do

@@AndreiRestrepo Yes pretty much I’m asking 50 for headshots and I don’t think that is asking too much I really don’t have any photos of headshots to show them I do have lots of photos in my portfolio of weddings and other events but not headshots I’m pretty desperate for all the help I can get to get some money made with my photography or I’m going to sale all my gear

Hmm, trying to remember if I did! I normally use it for 4k24. I think even if you do, it’ll show in either 1080p on the monitor, or in 4k. But basically the same. But I usually use it with my camera pushing a 4k24 10bit 422 mp4 signal to it and it works fine

Hey! You’ll always see noise in the log image, but correctly converted back it should pretty much be gone. How are you converting the log back to rec709? Manually or a correction lut?

@@AndreiRestrepo I’m filming in clog3 cinema gamut. I drop it into timeline in Final Cut. Then I apply a conversion lut. The conversion lut is the correct one - clog3 cinema gamut to bt709 dr-wide. After applying the lut the footage looked properly exposed and proper white balance but I still get some noise in shadows.

Hmm, not sure what to tell you! All my stuff on here and my real estate work is shot the same way and I never really see any noise. You could try dropping the shadows or blacks a bit to crush the noise a bit more. Is your in camera noise reduction on also? That could help if it isn’t on

@@AndreiRestrepo yes the noise reduction is set to standard in camera. Dude I see your past videos you filmed with the R6 ii before you got the R5C and they look amazing. Never see any noise. I’ll keep trying. My return window is about to close on the Canon, hoping I’m making the right decision with the R6 ii instead of something like a Sony A7Siii or an FX3.

Thanks! I now use the x3, and not so much this one anymore. I also typically just use it for tours, not shooting videos since I have my camera setup. But it would be a pretty simple process in the sense of just selecting the clips you want in the suite, exporting them out to then edit in a video editor like premiere pro for example

Yes, totally can use an APS-C sensor camera! Only issue is 18mm kit lens isn't wide enough. I'd get a 10-12mm crop sensor lens

I don’t shoot RAW video, just the 10bit mp4 modes which looks almost identical to raw. Just have to nail all the settings in camera!

Log is a color profile that captures more color information and dynamic range, but it’s still not RAW video. Cinema cameras can shoot raw video but the files are massive, your computer has to be pretty powerful, but it is the best for the most color information, and being able to adjust things like exposure and white balance like you would a raw photo. 10 bit log falls right in between shooting regular 8 bit color profiles, and raw. Way for flexible in editing than 8 bit, but not as much as raw video. Hope this helps!

For sure! Works great for cameras that don't shoot log. That's what I do now on the Canon R5C, clog3 does capture more information than HDR but that's still a great option!

I think that’ll come down to what your camera does. Like for me I’m just shows a little recording icon on my camera screen other than the external red record light. I don’t think the monitor knows when the camera is recording? Maybe I’m wrong on that

Depending on what you're filming, I'd just try the CPL and you'll be good! Mine aren't two in one, both separate.

Honestly not sure if I'll be able to get my hands on one! Typically I don't test other camera systems since I only have Canon glass. Would be cool though!

Really? It’s a phenomenal video camera! It’s a true hybrid camera for me honestly. And yes, exact same photos as the R5, just no sensor stabilization.

It’s just the cinema operating AF for video, which isn’t the snappy mirrorless style AF we’re used to. Honestly prefer it! Yeah the battery like is something you have to work around but on power saving mode, it’ll last pretty decently too. Doesn’t affect me since it’s always rigged up and plugged into the wall or a vmount battery though. Thanks for watching!
