  • Stock footage sells too slow, this skips the line. Its consistent and residual.
Every month or two I'll get an email about using it for an event, on a realtors website, in a facebook ad, stuff like that. So consistently its been $400ish every 3-5 weeks on my Scottsdale Video. Anybody can be making these in their town, nobody does though idk why, which is fine I'll just drive there and make one lol. But This is the fastest way I'm making money with my drone.
Link to the Editing & Cinematography Online Drone Course, includes the drone business/marketing course now too so they are just one thing.
$100 Off because I love you I guess:
    courses.dronelaunchacademy.co...
Before you ask the Mavic Mini is really cutting it close for this stuff but up to you. Can you get someone to buy from you? Yeah, people will buy iPhone footage if its exactly what they want.
Should you go apply for National Geographic? No.
Either way if you have a drone business or you want to make money with a drone, you should be doing this. Drone stock footage sells okay, IF you have good stuff but selling drone footage locally works better.
Mavic 3 - unbeatable, don't even need the Cine version. Even with the weirdness on launch, its still phenomenal
    Mavic 2 Pro - great
Evo II Pro 6K - great
Air 2S - great but needs some color adjustments in the editor.
Inspire 2 - unstoppable, just noisy as hell
    Evo II 8K - good
    Mini 2 - good
    Mavic Air 2 - good
Mavic Pro 1 - okayish... actually no its 2022 buy a new drone
    Phantom 4 Pro/Adv - good
    Phantom 3 adv/standard - okay
Mini 1 - no... but very fun
    AUDIO:
Audiojungle.net is really good for fast/cheap stuff. Trailer sound effects too
Premiumbeat.com - higher quality, little more cost
MusicBed - earth shattering quality, but you have to message and negotiate with music creators

About 20± yrs ago, I saw a video - and I lost my MIND. I thought this is the ONLY way to market real estate. I interviewed a filmmaker - I told him I'd buy an ultralight if he'd do footage for me - we met, I showed him this clip - he wasn't into it. I was introduced to a Gaui 330X quadrocopter, so we built one and tried to use it - uncontrollable for us. Then we built another, then I had a guy in CA build one for us - all a mess with footage that was dreadful and birds that were totally out of control. Then DJI came out with a bird. - all in one package - it was a dream. Phantom 1 - a dream. I waited and bought this Inspire 1 - took it up, my now at the time 10 and 12 yr old sons said, 'this is better now - Dad, you just started 7 yrs too soon'. When I look at this video of Charlotte Church - its still amazing, but by today's standards... Enjoy this knowing this is where it all started for me - czcams.com/video/VW3eMavZkm0/video.html

Question for you, since I’m new to this realm. I have a mini 2 so I don’t have to license my drone. I’m curious though, in order to sell footage, are pilots required to get a Part 107?

The answer is absolutely yes. No ifs ands or buts. From my reading of the rules you can't even post your footage to social media without a license as someone else could take and use the footage for commercial use, but YOU would be liable for it in the eyes of the FAA (and the IRS).

It's super refreshing to hear you get straight to the point rather than make videos like every other "CZcamsr" with a funny face thumbnail, a word from our sponsors, etc. I'm in the Phoenix area, Part 107 certified, having worked in real estate for 20 years (Title/Escrow co.) mostly providing quality listing photography for RE clients.
