I've been refreshing youtube for two days, waiting for your reaction. :-D Sooo happy you enjoyed Jérémie. Really multitalented, speaks French, English, Dutch... the winner of The Voice Belgique last year... and is also a professional keeper (soccerteam Virton) . And most of all a lovely guy.
Belgium's song is my favourite this year.
Jeremie is one of my favorite vocalists. He was the winner of The Voice in Belgium last season and I'm a bit surprised that you haven't heard him before or reacted to any of his performances there. You would appreciate his blind audition - "Jealous" by Labyrinth! I think he won the show then and there. Very happy that the Belgian committee has given him this opportunity to perform at Eurovision. He deserves to be heard on the world stage.

I first heard him sing in The Voice Belgium last year I think. He won. And then I found out he was going to represent Belgium in Turin. Kept waiting for his song. Had a feeling it was going to be great. Turned out it wasn't. It is superb!!! ❤❤❤ Definitely the juries' favourite...one of the very few songs I quite enjoy this year at Eurovision

Thank you for your lovely reaction, from a Belgian :) for the first time since 2017, we actually are proud and positive about our entry and we have high hopes! We KNOW he can do this live (he won The Voice with singing multiple styles of songs) and he only needs a good staging! The gospel element is there because ha has a background in a gospel choir when he was a kid :)
He really has to have live backing vocals!! I found it kind of weird last year with Slovenia's gospel entry having a pre-recorded gospel choir - when the backing vocals is such a fundamental part of a song it's a bad decision not to do them live.
I've always been a fan of Belgian entries since 2015 (except 2019 and 2020). I really liked Sennek, it's a shame that they messed up the staginga and 2021 was a good song, just not on the same level as the other songs they've sent. This year they have something different and I love it.

Although they gave him too hard a dance routine for the final, he did a really super live performance in Belgium a few weeks later. The basic voice is just tremendous - he will only get better through his career. Plus he's a top professional footballer so he's got a choice to make. I also really love this song - which many of the Eurovision pundits weren't keen on. I shall listen to this song for years.
I must say I hadn't enjoyed this song 'til you commented on it; it's true you 'see' it with different 'ears' !
So intresting to see how this will be expressed on stage. Because you can't really decide now who you are going to vote for when some have videos, some on stage... the live performance on the night will guide me. But this is a really good song and singer, hope it will be top 10 otherwise not my cup of tea.

HEAVY Labrinth but in the best ways possible
Only "Minus" as well as a plus is it's very repetitive, wich makes it an earworm with not much lyrics . I like the lack of overwhelming Instruments also Kinda like Belgium's 2015 entry "Rhythm inside" from Loic Notet (wich came 4th place back then ). very only vocals based .. I have high hopes for this one myself ;-) ( No and not because I'm Belgian.. :-p ) Greetz A.
Most people watching Eurovision won't pick up the meaning of Serbia at the first listen too so it's nothing wrong to show your real first impresion.
Belgium is nice, wish it had a stronger ending like Poland has the bridge for example or a stronger instrumental

This is a very well produced track. The video is awesome too. And this kid can sing live as well. But the stage performance is way too subdued. It’s too simple and he’s a bit low energy. This is a top 3 track and vocal….but Belgique….put on a show dammit…or it will fade away outside the top 15.

Surely not. Nothing special about the Dutch song, and for me as a Greek the language sounds horrible. Also her vocals are nothing special. Jeremie is the one to watch an a potencial winner this year.
Belgium's entry is the definition of a dark horse, so many people are underrating it, it will do a lot better than many people think
