Living in zone 3 on the Canadian Prairies presents unique challenges for homesteading and herbalism. The harsh climate, dry and nutrient-poor soil, and risk of drought are just a few of the obstacles we face. However, we have found ways to adapt, using new technologies, crop genetics, and gardening techniques. We also source plants from other regions and dry and store them for future use. We are excited to share these tips and techniques with you.
We are inspired by our grandfather, who taught us the value of determination and the importance of living in harmony with nature. His love for gardening and herbalism has stayed with us throughout our lives, and we are honored to carry on his legacy.

Each of those cells look like a little tomato forest! Great idea with rinsing off the potting mix before separating. Tomatoes were my first foray into gardening, I have such fond memories starting tomato seeds!

It's good to be a little crazy Cody 🤪. I do this with my leeks but never thought with tomatoes. Then again I don't grow as many as I would like as they have to grow outside. Great info
