I must confess I am one of those who has listened to quite a few of shri dushyant’s upanyasams ( apart from others) including watching his dance production agre pashyami in an attempt to find my way back into the folds of Sri Vaishnava sampradayam. Any “scientific” proof of our ithihasas and puranas is always fascinating and one is extremely tempted to go down the “rational “ path. However, even while studying atomic theory while growing up , I have always realised how scientific discoveries keep adding up( going from an atom is indivisible , does not contain anything to confirmation of various sub atomic particles now) or how the theory of light went from light travels in straight lines in middle school to light is a wave in high school. Modern western science including western medicine is very limited. Our sampradyam and puranas cannot be understood through that lens. Thank you for helping me resolve this long ongoing dilemma of mine. I have canceled my pre order of Sri dushyants ramayanam book. I have also shared these thoughts with my friends and others.

Only question that needs to be answered by Shri Dr. Shalvpile Iyengar Swamy is - how to take the 11000 years quoted sloka - as it is a itihaas, a contemporary narrative, so, should we consider that Ramayana was written on the end of 11000 years end ⁉️ as it's written contemporary evidence. If we consider it as a futuristic projection - why can't that be considered as an appreciation / simile / metaphor used in that sloka and why should 11000 years should be taken literally as human years?!
And do we have any evidence and scientific research papers published on the Nala / Rama Sethu and the period when it could have been formed?! I wish to make it clear and agree with swamy upfront that those papers can be challenged and countered in future and the dates may go many thousands of years older as we get more evidences, so one paper now may be nullified by another in future. 🙏✌️
Still, what is the max, evidence we have currently, on the lines of confirmation that we currently have on the subject of Nala / Rama Sethu.

RN Swamin, while you are presenting discussions with a lot of these scholars, i don't see you presenting a scientific basis to any of your arguments. While Dushyant Sridhar has made an attempt with a date, a better way to counter would be through an alternate scientific basis. Homo sapiens only evolved about 200,000 to 300,000 years ago. We now have sophisticated arcaheo astronomy, gene mapping, climatology studies available. When Sri Rama lived is of less importance but more so on the essence of Srimad Ramayanam and how we can apply to our modern day lives. Our sanatana society is at a critical juncture so let us focus on preserving our cultural unity.

So long as you talk science, it needs rigorous review by editors, peer review and reproducibility of data and analysis by other analysts,/ scientists. On a random note: Can you give logical, rational and scientific corroborations to all the sidhhis that has ever existed? Which is displayed even by some living Tibetan monks as of today; Or sidhhas living remotely in caves or himalayas? Just because it is not attested by science as of today and may be attested 50 years from now, can we abrogate things that have nevertheless happened this far? Curious to hear your thoughts? Because such "attempts" will alter narratives and create unnecessary discordance in the minds of youngsters which is a massive disservice to humanity.

Only conclusion is for all shishyas of those respective sampradayas , whatever has been instructed over generation ( paramparaya ) by acharya purushas is final . These discussion which is trying to mislead the masses with these topics is definitely with vested interests and definitely cannot be left contested and condemned... Mr Dushyant sridhar better come to his senses and understand the vicious Broad canvas of these misleading elements and better stick to sampradaya and do sampradaya seva rather than trying to create arvacheena avaidika aviveki sampradaya..

In one of the earlier interviews in this channel..i think Sri Balaji clearly pointed out the totally unlikely personality of The Great Vedanta Desikar being depicted completely wrongly in the film or whatever this showman dushyant sridar took and perhaps acted.This guy is dangerous in the sense of misleading the public by his utterances and writings.Beware
It's a discredit of Sri Balaji not Shri Dushyant Sridhar actually. The kind of doubt raised by such arguments is much more dangerous and without realising the mistake he quoted that and I can see the impact on common people like you.
Great Shree Vedanta Desikar is not a street beggar like what you see nowadays, to be shown in a similar sense. He was a strong follower of Brahmana Dharma of getting Dhana (it's not Street begging as you imagine nowadays) it's unjavirthi.
You are confusing a beggar look with a great personality, who could be well dressed as shown in that movie from the dhana he could have got from someone else.
