This is super helpful. Thank you! My AC stopped working in 99F heat today, and "replace humidifier pad" was one of the error codes that came up on the thermostat

SUPER helpful. My Humidifier had begun leaking water due to calcium build up around the drain hole, and in the hose. I removed the filter, but wasn't sure about the top piece orientation. This video brought piece of mind because I've been stressing whether I put the top cover to the pad on backwards or not.

thanks for the great video. I forgot to change for a year, I ordered new one ...can I remove old filter, turn off humidistat and still use furnace on (until I replace in a week). thanks for the great video

My furnace is different. Rather than a humidistat control everything i controlled by the high tech thermostat which also controls the humidity. It does that by automatically adding water based on the THI set. Aside from that this was helpful in showing how to replace the filter.

Are there different filters for the horizontal and vertical mounted models? The honeycomb on my old filter ran up/down relative to my unit, but the new filter honeycomb runs left/right.

Hi! Thanks for the video! I’m trying to figure out what model my humidifier is. I can’t find any numbers. It’s a Trane humidifier on a Trane xl80 furnace. Any recommendations on how to find the model #? TIA!

My home had nothing connected to the drain hole..(I don´t see the drain hose) .maybe the builder forgot to connect it? The filter was filthy after receiving the home...is it because of there being no drain hose connected?
