Thank you for posting this, it really helps. I just went over the Aprilaire 600 install from two years ago at mom's house. So called "professional" install by the local HVAC outfit... I had AC condenser issues, found incredibly shoddy work in wiring and most of all, the Aprilaire. I just ordered the humidistat, did not have one, no voltage regulator, and the outdoor probe was cut and buried electrical tape at the gas pipe feeding the furnace... This is why I do just about everything myself. No one gives a shit anymore, they ain't worth the price.
Hey, thank you for uploading this. I'm assuming that you originally recorded this for your own review but then decided to share it with CZcams as well. So yeah, thank you. If it weren't for your video, then I wouldn't know to wait about 2 days after changing the humidifier setting in order to know if it's a setting that I like.
Good video, I don't think the guys went over this throughly with me. What if it doesn't go down to 35% is that bad or good? Cause I see at times mine stay at 45-55
water panel replacement time can be shortened by extra hard or extra soft waters. ONLY use Aprilaire water panels as the knockoff models are not designed properly nor have the correct coating. ALWAYS contact a professional when working on any piece of HVAC related equipment.
My furnace fan has been turning on lately even tho heat is not needed. Is this because the house needs humidity because the April air unit is still in winter mode?
Since the humidifier is on the supply side of the system the humidistat should be on the return side. It should not be located just above the humidifier. It will give a false reading.
For $60 k project full installation labor and materials make sense expend couple hours explaining and explaining every litle thing in a ventilation system 🤣🤣

Just what I needed.
Ran new Aprilaire 600 this winter. And like the guy said in Video to change filter once a year?
The automatic dehumidifier control was off for the whole summer should we turn it on
I have central air but how do you adjust it in the summer I've turn the thermostat to cool but still not blowing cool air

This poor home owner doesn't know a thing about DIY or general mechanical - this technician will become his friend!

Is this filter also getting water during winter ??
How much does full installation of the Aprilaire 600m cost by professional?

This would be good but the review is too fast and the technician talks too fast to follow along. A slower presentation would be much better!
y do we even need filter? y cant we just expose water to furnace blower
