This man is incredibly clear and well spoken, easy to understand for people with no experience like myself!
I thought the operation manual became human
This is an excellent video. Clear , concise and accurate
Another reason for water leaking is a defective solenoid valve that stays in the “open” position, allowing water to flow none stop 24/7.
Thank you for this! You saved me a huge headache. Great video.
Excellent, short, sweet and concise video. Thanks!
The two times I've had problems with that same unit it's always been that darn black tubing that breaks! The first time it dripped on the furnace control board taking it out.
*MORAL*: Always check the water feed line when turning the unit on! Check it frequently when first turning on, then be sure to check it again periodically.
This saved me. Thank you.
Thank you. Perfect video.
Wonderful explanation.
Really nice video , thanks for sharing.
Informative video. Helped me.
Great video, this solved my problem. Thank you !
THANKS RIGHT ON TARGET
Replace filter once a year or more if water is hard. Make sure panel clicks into place. Misalignment causes leaks
Thank u
What if it's leaking from the bottom of the spud to that white pvc pipe?
In my house mold coming on top floor, same room under furnace room.
Roof been checked out, furnace is running well. What is the problem of mold ?
Condensation on garage ceiling and no humidity getting into house? Help
1 little detail, and it makes such a mess.
Mine dribbles inside return, everything is clean and filter is new…stumped
So I’ve cleaned the pipes using a vac vacuum and I also cleaned that container for the filter to go in but idk why it still leaks water back into my furnace, am no hvac person.
Check if your solenoid water valve is stuck open.
it's hilarious how you're running around swinging that hammer at things that don't even resemble nails @@Itsme-vo4fx
I’ve down all that and still find water leaking around the bottom of the removable cover where it clips on any ideas? I took the whole thing apart and everything is clean and free of Debri and have a new pad and could see the water was being distributed evenly through the pad
Same issue, ready to rip my hair out.
@@jspianoman07 I found my unit was leaking around the water line where it threads on at the coupling
@@Dan-ef4jz Thanks for replying. I can see mine leaking from the same spot, but my issue is that I can't foe the life of me figure out why. The spout at the bottom of the tray seats down in that drain plug (the one that the tube attaches to) fine so i don't understand how water is coming up over the edge of the plug and then running out.
@@jspianoman07 for me water was leaking around the threaded coupling and dripping down the water line and sitting in the bottom of the plastic near the drain spot but then it was just leaking down the air return and onto the basement floor. All I did was undo the water line and thread it back on. It has a little needle in it that must not have been tightened properly. There’s not too many options with these units. Make sure you have the filter seated properly too so water can evenly distribute and fall down the filter into the drain spout
The answer is most likely a defective solenoid water valve not closing as it should. See if water continues to enter the humidifier after it’s turned off. You should NOT see water entering the humidifier if the furnace is not pushing HOT air and your humidistat is not calling for humidity.
that is not my problem. the hose that hooks up to the bottom of the unit is leaking on the hose itself about a foot or two down the hose. there is some kind of blue valve that insulation has been rotted through it. it leaks over a sheetrock ceiling panel that will have to be replaced. I am wanting to know how to find and install a new hose for the bottom of the unit.
Leaks also occur as a result of the water panel (filter) being installed upside down. The color spot (red, black and or yellow) always indicates the TOP of the water panel. While you did visually show it, you mentioned nothing verbally that this was something to be careful with.
The speaker is clear. And the information on routine maintenance is solid. But he makes some misleading claims about causes of leaks. An old water panel is one possible cause of leaks. But other common issues are due to the water flow to the humidifier being too high, the solenoid being stuck open (as mentioned by someone else), or the drain tubing being crimped or clogged. These causes of leaking are at least as common as the water panel / humidifier pad needing replacement, as it only needs to be replaced once during the season, which a homeowner can do on a schedule, while the other issues are often less obvious to the homeowner.
