- Cammy Back, the office manager of a gun store, testifies at the trial of the Oxford High School shooter's father, James Crumbley. Back sold a firearm to Crumbley days before it was used in the shooting.
Money for guns but not therapy for his son😡
unfortunately there are some that don't believe in therapy, but it doesn't seem like they did anything else to try to help him either
Recreational 2 horse ownership but no time or money for a mentally challenged son.
Ahhh, now I see the felony: the father bought the gun for the son not himself, which is against Michigan’s firearms law, and father checked the box that the gun was only for himself. GUILTY. She was agood witness.
The defendant knowingly bought it for his son, with the shooter's own cash, getting the exact gun the shooter wanted. It's disingenuous for the parents to call it a gift - the shooter, a minor, bought it for himself, using his willing parents as the means to get what he wanted. He sure knew "how to not get caught" doing something illegal, aided and abetted by his parents. Did the defendant ever ask him why he was so eager to have it, when they already had two 22's, purchased in June? The journal says why he wanted it - more powerful, longer range, larger clip capacity, all the better to shoot more victims as fast as possible.
Horses and guns but can’t get medical care for Eathen
I cant stand when people try and twist others words. So glad the manager stood her ground in what she said.
Yes
Maybe she's being so stern and aggressive because she thinks it makes her appear knowledgeable and experienced. So annoying!
how weird must it be to one day just be working at a store and then you have to testify in a trial because someone shot up a school
This is a nightmare scenario for sure. You get someone who's obviously been drinking, acting erratic, using language that makes it sound like they have nefarious intent, you just don't sell. This was probably not a highly remarkable transaction except in retrospect. And, then this.
A *gun* store in *the United States* where there is a school shooting every damn week?
weird, sure, more like "sucks". but these lawyers were just fishing. they didn't catch anything.
This is her 2nd or 3rd, forgot if she tested at Ethan’s trail
@@AL_KING777 plus depositions. Trial is taxing on witnesses
Why do some lawyers think that by being rude they will win.
it's a game. an angry person will be less logical so you can make them slip up. sometimes it work in the lawyer's favour, so they try it.
Agreed, she’s very rude and annoying.
Defense is snarky. She’s going to put off the jurors.
The defense isn't snarky. The mom's defense was a complete moron. This one is far better than the one that put Jennifer Crumbley in jail.
This defense lawyer comes across as so angry at this witness! Seems unprofessional and uncalled for.
This judge means the bidness
Her job is to defend her client, not make friends with the witness. You obviously don't understand criminal defense work.
@@stephenp6411well? How’d she do??
The shrill voice of the lawyer defending the father is hard to listen to for very long.
Her voice and her style are every bit as annoying as Shannon who represented Jennifer. I didn’t think anyone could be as bad as her, but I was wrong!!🥴
That’s a sign that you’re sexist, just fyi
the defense is very good. the judge always seems like she's half asleep.
Tampering and threats to witness's should be a tell tail how evil this person is. He should get a charge for that
First clueless statement, never said it was a witness!!
Tampering and Threats to ANYONE should facilitate charges!! ( Even if it's not to witnesses)
The defence attorney's shrill voice giving me a headache ! 🤕
exactly is the point defense trying to make ??? this girl is drowning
What a horrifying line of work she chose to pursue. Was she assigned to this position?
Registration itself seems completely useless when guns can merely be handed over to anyone by the registered owner, at any time. If you trace it back to a crime, it's already too late. I don't get it.
Are you dumb or just stupid? People like you shouldn't vote.
@user-kh9td9vg7u i thought the exact same thing during the last trial. having worked in early childhood education my entire adult life, i couldn’t imagine dedicating each day to this work.
@@lmnopgrI am and adult workforce educator, and I'd tell anyone a job like this is just a sign of utter defeat. This witness has probably never given a single thought as to what she's contributing to society: murder weapons.
@@user-kh9td9vg7u youre sick
horrifying? thats dramatic, so dont work there. it also may be "horrifying" to work at Planned Parenthood for some people.
Everybody failed eathan the parents especially total negligence put both behind bars. Prayers to all the families involved
That money could have gone for counseling
More than $1000 in guns and ammo in 6 months. About $600 of that for a gun for a sick, despondent, teen boy to kill people who just wanted psychological help and was ridiculed by his parents for asking.
They have insurance that paid for it. Money should have went to a house cleaner. Gun should never been purchased.
This defense attorney's voice .....😵💫
"The case can be secured to prevent unauthorized access" - so that's what it means to secure it. Lock it. Hiding it isn't enough, and clearly didn't prevent unauthorized access by his minor child.
The defense tried with another witness to discount the shooter's text to his friend earlier in the year about his dad leaving a different gun out. The shooter sees it, thinks to himself, "why not", and videos himself loading it and shooting it (chamber empty). The defendant was simply not careful about preventing "unauthorized access".
Hope the jury wasn't born yesterday...
Defense is so aggressive and loud. Perhaps because she knows he is going to be found guilty?
Weird?!? This lady was not on trial...or trying to hide anything. 🤨
What in the world kind of name is "Cammy Back"
This is done just go to sentencing
how many lives have been flipped upside down as a result of the JC duo’s negligence… of course, the pain of the families and friends of those so tragically lost tops all, but seeing these witnesses testify over and over and over again, i just can not even imagine. watching the computer/technology expert yesterday was heartbreaking.
Luckily Ethan accepted responsibility and plead guilty so the victims and staff didn’t have to testify.
I think this witness serves the prosecution not the defense considering that James signed those forms affirming the gun was for only him and then ended up giving it to Ethan.
Only going quiker because you don't have shannon smith in there running her fool mouth
Couldn't stand her either!
The lawyer needs to talk faster, she is a poor orater, and a bad lawyer.
Crumbley's attorney is annoying, please stop yelling she comes off incompetent trying to be smart. Please! I wish she would pronounce her words clearer.
I know, I hate her already, she’s completely rude.
Lawd. I've never heard anyone talk as fast as his defense attorney does!
Why is he wearing headphones?
He’s hard of hearing

What a horrible feeling knowing you sold a murder weapon to someone.
She did not sell the gun to that young man are you insane. So is a pharmacist who fills a prescription for sleeping pills responsible for someone committing suicide. What the auto salesman that sells a truck that is then driven into a crowd of people. I find it so hard to believe people like you exist.
were i on the jury id convict the guy based on his choice of such an annoying and verbally abusive lawyer.
The father has a lawyer with a shrill voice. The mother had a lawyer who was rather odd and not good at her job!
"When the punishment is living for decades with the constant credible threat of violence and homosexual rape, I can't think of a single crime that fits such a cruel and unusual punishment." ~ Malcolm X
from what I can see here the shop selling the gun did everything correct, its nothing to do with the shop and the security of the gun once he left the shop it was now the owner of the gun to keep it safe. The defence keep asking her questions about after sales is a nothing burger and waist of time
Thank you, unfortunately people in the comments think this lady holds some responsibility for the school shooting.
Oh, wow, the comments section doesn't like a defense attorney? I'm so shocked.
lol lol...love sarcasm.....lol
So someone with prior dui and check fraud can legally purchase a gun?
Not if they were felony convictions.
Ethan Crumley while in school did ammo checks on his phone. No money to pay bills, but $1,000 cash in 5 months to purchase guns. Why did he take his son to the gun shop on 11/26/21 but not in June?
I don't know why they put these killers in suits. Just a simple dress shirt and slacks.
The second clueless statement you made!
The female attorney is rude and aggressive. This should not be allowed.
The more I hear about the Crumbleys, the more I hate them, and I hated them plenty before the trial due to their neglect and incompetance. No remorse, no concern for their own kid, now threatening witnesses? I hope if he's found guilty that they throw the book at him.
yes the crumbley is the definition of low life people.
James Crumbly had cash to pay for the gun, yet he needed to work door dash that day (to pay his bills). He could probably take the whole week off if he saved the $500 and did not buy the gun.
Also, he could have taken his son w him for the afternoon as he did door dash, not ideal but could spend time w him and insure everyones safety
By no means am I holding up for the Crumbleys but the detectors keep pressing after she said, at least twice, about an attorney.
This trial seems crafted from the dark corners of a Grimm Brothers' tale, spun by the state for its own self-promotion.
Tell that to the parents of the deceased students.
That really does sum up the Oakland Count Courts!!. They never prosecuted the Oakland County killer because his father was well connected but they are going to throw these parents under the bus.
lol, during J’s trial I believed they were calling the gun, a ‘six hour.’ ⁉️🤷♀️🇺🇸⚖️

she sold the gun to the people so why isn't she on trial for murder?
its her job to sells guns first of all and a background check was done on the father with no felony conviction so he pass. she is not liable for what a customer does with the gun.
@@shawn-pu9is some are trying to change this and actually skip her and hold say Sig liable
Why not the gun manufacturers or whomever invented the Sig Sauer oh the Chinese for inventing gun powder. GTFOOH
@@Dharmarenee I agree, what places like California is trying to do does not make sense. Holding the manufacture liable in a case like this, or even if it was a direct sale and transferred at a store through ffl. That is an effort to bankrupt them not address actual root causes
If anyone is wondering about the Youth Handgun Safety Act notice, it's ATF Information 5200.4, and references 18 USC § 922(x) et. seq. I used to have a federal firearms license (FFL). That form has to accompany all retail sales of handguns by law. This doesn't apply to long guns, but I've gotten the form with at least one rifle. It's what we who are responsible with firearms call "basic common sense." Unfortunately, common sense obviously isn't, because this video exists to comment on.
This woman looks like her name should be Karen.
