I own the entire line of SIG pistols and the P-239 SAS is my preferred carry pistol. I was quite amazed when I heard SIG discontinued production of this fine pistol in 2018.
With all the the compact guns out there i still carry the P239 as weapon of choice! I love the decocker and the weight helps with recoil. Looks very sharp with new grips i put on it. Yea it needs to comeback!
P239 is the best of sig series, I think. single mag for easy reload , 8rounds enough as self defense weapon , light weight for easy carry, easy to grip, very cool gun. p239 is for side weapon , self defense, conceal to carry weapon, or main weapon. I like this.
Please make theP239 SAS available again. I have two and would buy 2 more. The 365 is not for everyone, certainly not me and I own more than 10 Sig firearms.
"However, his legal team contends that the man never pulled the trigger and claimed the type of handgun involved is documented for having accidental discharges. “This gun has no safety,” said public defender Matt Gonzalez as reported by the Associated Press. Guns.com received the following communication from Tamara Barak Aparton, communication and policy Assistant with the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office: “The weapon was not a Glock, despite being incorrectly reported as such in the old Chronicle article. It was a Sig Sauer p239 and had no safety.” Sig’s documentation on the P239 states the gun has a “4-point safety system with decocking lever, patented automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and trigger bar disconnector.” Sig Sauer should sue the shit out the San Francisco, Public Defender's Office; for themselves, and for Kathryn Steinle and her family. An outright LIE about the Sig Sauer P239, helped a criminal, illegal alien, get away with murdering a U.S. citizen. The Defense based their case on hatred of Trump, and hatred of guns; by San Francisco, California liberals; not on facts! Even an accidental discharge of a firearm, resulting in the death of an individual, normally results in a finding of criminally negligent homicide of some sort. The scumbag that killed Ms. Steinle, got off, scot free!
I agree that the P239 is an awesome platform; I have two and will soon have a third one of them via a purchase from Texas Gun Trader, all in 40 S&W. I do find it interesting though that SIG is pushing a discontinued product (as of 2018) through a CZcams video as late as 2017 (video date). Why discontinue a product if it's as great as the company claims? My biggest question though is how long will SIG continue to service these discontinued pistols. It's just my luck to find what I consider the best sidearm ever to have it no longer made. Vita Sic Est!
I have owned a P229 in .40 S&W for 23 years. I love it. I just took delivery of a P239 in .357 Sig two days ago and can't wait to shoot it! Oh, and if you care, I bought my first Glock (never liked them for their looks) Glock 20 in 10 mm. Can't wait I won't have it in my hands until early July (CA laws). I have dry fired Glocks and I think I'll like it, but I'm Sig fan through and through.
Where can I buy extra magazine for my 239? The pistol is anything but obsolete but needs magazines. I hope that I and other purchasers weren’t abandoned by Sig.
I have a bunch of Sigs a p239x2 p229x2 a w german p226 and a w german p220. I carry a p239 in 357 SIG. I also have a barrel in 40 for the same gun . I must say, even tho the capacity is not great, it's my preferred carry . It's my favorite pistol of all the many I have owned or even shot. I have tried carrying others including Glocks and compact HKs. I always go back to the p239. For me, the 9mm Is a concealable target pistol, the 40 is awesome and very easy to shoot well, and the 357sig is the best of all. Low capacity, and a little bit more felt recoil just makes me more deliberate. Still fast and effective, but more deliberate, which I see as a benefit. Every week. I hit the pawnshops looking for more p239s. I will never be without one.
For those still looking for one of these new, Gander Outdoors has them on sale in the mid $600’s and if that particular store is going out of business they can be had for $485! That is nearly 50% off the $895 average everyday price. I saw two people pick them up from the Gander Outdoors in South West Michigan.
I love my (2) P239's in 9mm. Thanks for abandoning us in California by totally discontinuing the P239. I can't find parts for the P239 and I thought companies were supposed to maintain parts for something like 7 years after 86'ing a product? Well, we can't buy the P239's replacement (the P365) in California because it isn't on the unconstitutional DOJ approved handgun list, so I'm more than a bit irritated with Sig right now.
The P239 should be brought back, at least to limited production, particularly the SAS variant. Heck, just bring back 357 Sig in P226/229 -- the way Sig has dropped support for 357 Sig is just shameful. Sure, it is a niche market, but we exist.
Mr. Painchaud, I find it quite difficult to "thumb" the hammer back so that I might fire the first shot in single action. Can you suggest a fix for this problem?
Jon Do thats not how we intended for DA/SA to be used at all if you are doing that id advised you to stop or carry condition 3 and after you rack the slide to load a round it will already be in SA mode but I advise against that as well.
Thanks for your response. I'm just talking about firing at the range, and when I shoot my revolvers there, I sometimes shoot DA, but I can also pull the hammer back and fire with the shorter trigger pull.
Best SIG pistol and the best DA defensive pistol for CCW, ideally in .40 S&W as the best .40 S&W rounds have a markedly better stopping power record than the best 9mm rounds.
I own 3 Sigs but I can't get behind a 33oz low capacity gun for anything other than home defense or truck gun. The P938 alone for carry makes this thing a relic.
Anti-snag, with all due respect... Why is the hammer sticking out? I'm sure I've seen one flush. If not, wouldn't you want a striker fire instead [for concealed carry]?
Nice channel but please change the music to something more contemporary, I know you are trying to appeal to American audiences, but not all the gun lovers live in the south, we also live on the east coast.
Akim Ishchayil An eletric guitar rift? Rock and roll has it's roots in African American folk music. Or you could just deal with the music because it plays for a few seconds. Or skip it? Idiot.

Sig, please make the P239 again
Bring back the P239 please!!! I have a 40 and 357 Sig, great pistol.
Bring this back
is this discontinued? With all the issues Sig has been having maybe they should bring the classics back!
Bring back the P239!!!!
blitzkrieg459 My most accurate pistol...at least the one I shoot most accurately with. In a competition this is the one I'd use over any other.

I recently bought a LIKE NEW P239, in .40, with very bright SigLites, (2) mags, case, and papers for $475 OTD. I think I did very well.

As of 4-2024 magazines ARE available. Just type in "Sig P239 magazine" in Google.
How many would you like ?? Very easy.
It’d be nice if they brought the P239 back or at the very least sell new P239 magazines or let Mec-Gar sell them!
I have a bunch of Sigs a p239x2 p229x2 a w german p226 and a w german p220.

I really do believe you would have a market for this if you brought it back. Maybe a smaller size like the P938. That slide is significantly smaller

I agree, have 2 sig 239s,cannot find parts, will no longer buy sigs again,I to live in calif.
I think you can use 225a1 parts includind mags just the bases are different.
If you wish to sell your P239's hit me up Americruiser1970@gmail.com
Blaming Sig because you live in a communist state of California hmmm.🤦♂️
@@charlesprice7608 I’m not the one that made Cali commie Charlene.
The P-225 9mm mags will fit the 9mm p-239 FYI. Great gun!
Remember when Sig made DA/SA guns that didn't break? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Do they still make the gen 2 from 5 years ago, or are they trying to sell more?
I added the 225-A1 to my carry collection.
Either offer the 225-A1 in .357 Sig or bring back the 239 in .357 Sig.
Bring back the 239, with a rail!!
review p239 tac please
actually single action when you cycle the slide.
The barrel of the gun, I'm not sure why.

A legion model ??
I didn't think the P239 was even made anymore
Yeh

.357 SIG is the best
If you want lots of penetration. Otherwise the .40 S&W rules IMO.
Richard Lutz
Just use p plus in the 9 mm
i thought the SAS is specially made for the Special Air Service
I own 3 Sigs but I can't get behind a 33oz low capacity gun for anything other than home defense or truck gun. The P938 alone for carry makes this thing a relic.
@BoilerMaker67 what kind of grammar Nazi makes the rounds on gun channels correcting people? One with no fucking life
I'm'a disagree. I've been carrying the P938 for years now and I just picked up a used P239 for it's .40/.357 capability.
Bring it back and get rid of the fugly p225a.
Veramente orrenda!!!
Beretta il Top delle armi!!!

I really like the opening music
should we also ask Sig to use a black guy in their videos because it would be racist not to?
Should someone tell him that the south is ON the eastern seaboard? This one isn't the sharpest knife thats for sure.
