I personally own both Sig Sauer P239's in 9mm and 40 S&W/357 Sig. Both of them have night sites. They both shoot like a full size Sig Sauer P226 in all 3 caliber's. Perhaps one of the best concealed carry handgun's ever created. It's really unfortunate that Sig Sauer discontinued these handgun's back in 2018!😢 Great video review. I hit like and subscribe!😊
Thank you. I hope I can make some better videos you'll enjoy. As far as the P239, it's my favorite pistol. I like most if not all firearms but I'd take my P239 over any if I could only have 1. I look at it as a single stack service pistol that's easy to carry. You're right about how they shoot like a much bigger handgun. Thanks again for being here and commenting.
That's right! I'm the same way about mine. It carries well, shoots phenomenally and I'm fine with the capacity. I would be fine if it was my only sidearm. Good to know there are folks that see things as clearly as I do. 😆
Thanks for the video. I carried one for a long time. IMO it is a great civilian carry. No concerns about capacity since I always carry a spare mag. Anyone should be able to shoot it well.
I have a S&W 6904, 9mm that I carry on occasion. It is a da/sa discontinued in the 90s. It will do the job.. it is a bit wide for IWB but doable. I've never had a FTF . I used to carry a model 39-2 9mm in the late 80s. It was my everything sidearm, the full size big brother of the one you are showing. A pain to conceal on a 145 pound frame ( the good old days) but it could be done.
The classics still have a lot going for them. The 365 is Sigs best seller so I understand the push for all these companies making smaller pistols that hold more rounds but I'd take this P239 over the 365 any day.
Right on! Both of those are great. I'd rather have either of them than a 320. The 320 is fine but I guess I'm just a fan of the originals. I feel more comfortable carrying a double/ single action over striker fired.
Plus one on the “cult following.” The capacity argument is wasted on me. I shoot this gun as well as the 226 and better than the 229. I love my 239s. Peace.
I'll take my 8+1 P239 over anything on the market today. I like the DA/SA for conceal carry and not afraid to admit I'm a ton more comfortable carrying it IWB.
I hope that Metgar or someone makes magazines for the 239. I managed to find two extras after Sig stopped making them. I probably can get by with 4 mags but would like a source just in case.
I've got 4 and would like 2 more. Sig offers spring kits and I think Brownells does also. I grabbed a 2 pack of guide rod springs from Sig also. Ebay has some 239 mags but they're higher than giraffe nuts.
Curious about the magazine, do larger capacity mags fit in the magwell, like double-stacked mags from other p200 series pistols? Would be cool to have swappable options, but if the magwell is too thin and almost proprietary for the single stacks thats a bit of a shame.
The P229 is a single stack 8rd magazine and the magwell will not work with any of aig other P series pistols. It was Sigs carry option so the si gle stack magazine did help thin the gun a little but the slide, etc was still a little thick because it shares basically the same fire control group as the P226. It's a great pistol but like you said, it's magazine is proprietary to the pistol and nobody in 2024 wants a pistol this big that only holds 8 rds. Thanks for a great comment. 👍

I picked up a LNIB P239 in .40 S&W at a gun show last weekend. Very bright SigLites, extra mag, etc. $475 OTD. 😊
That's a heckuva deal and a great caliber choice. The 40 should still be in duty holsters IMHO. Congrats on a great find and enjoy it.
I carry one almost every day
The best shooting carry gun you could have
If I only could have 1 hand gun it would be it

I agree. Just a great pistol all around. Thanks for being here and commenting.

I've got a 9mm p239 too and it's my favorite sig. I carry it everyday unless I'm wearing shorts and a tshirt, and then I carry my p224.

@@573reviews yup I feel exactly the same. I just don't trust it. I like da/sa and sig definitely makes the best.
@hugeslacker 💯!
