In the last year or so, I’ve started to make it a habit of rereading one book a month. It has been an amazing experience and I want to keep up the habit forever!
The only books I've ever read again were "Forever Amber" and "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn." I read them as a teenager, part of my parents' collection....and loved them so much I had to read them again as an adult. I don't re-read anything now because I have too many to get through and am a slow reader.
I re-read children’s books/books I read as kid/middle grade or Christmas books. It’s just all the cozy feelings and that lightness these books bring back. And sometimes I reread on from a series when I want to continue and freshen up on it. But that’s rare most of the times I either just read the next on and hope for good explanations or search on the web for some info. But there are a few series where I want to restart and continue because I just love the writing or the author and the story so much.
You posted this video ON time. I'm currently re-reading All The Light We Cannot be, even though I loved it when I read for the first time but now I'm enjoying it even more and focusing on details which I didn't pay much attention for the first time.
Since I put my TV away in March 2017, I've read 250 books, mostly novels/ classics, but also learning/ history/ science/ philosophy books. Looking at the list, 21 were light novels I'd read 10-30 years ago. Reading a book again after a few years is a new experience, since we are (hopefully!) different people now, having formed many new neural connections and we have the pleasure of new discovery, reading as an adult, not a child/ youth.

Great to spend some time with you.---I'm not a re-reader but got a big surprise a while back after reading Norah Lofts' historical (England) novel "Brittle Glass". Not long after reading the book I happened to see on my list of books that I've read that I had read that novel around 20 years earlier and had no recollection of it the second time around! It was unsettling but I'm taking the approach that I was able to enjoy the book twice in different phases of my life.---I read "Wuthering Heights" two or three times, twice for classes.One of my instructors got a laugh when I said that after reading "Wuthering Heights" "...I felt like I had been yelled at". P.S. The 1970 movie version with Timothy Dalton and Anna Calder Marshall is excellent.
I love re-reading books(only books that I loved, though)....It's like reconnecting with an old friend. I used to feel guilty re-reading because I had so many new books unread, but then one day I decided, oh who cares?! Life is short and the idea that I'd only get one bite at the apple(so to speak), made me sad. So I re-read my favorite books with delight and appreciation.
Hi, Helene, I’m a rereader, too, so this made totally sense for me😉... not only because we forget a lot, we're at a different age, identify with other characters, or: just want to visit our (book-)friends. I’ve so many reasons, why. Stay healthy, love, Monika❣️
I used to reread a lot more when I was younger, but always feel a little bit guilty doing it now so I love your reasoning behind it! I do think I'd love to reread a few of my favourites just to see if they're still favourites after so many years, as I know my tastes in some areas have grown quite a lot.

I find I mostly reread classics eg Trollope's Barchester Chronicles or Benson's Mapp and Lucia series ♥️ (both witty Social Commentaries) How is Danish life now some restrictions are lifted? Might you return to face to face teaching? Best wishes 🤗
I just finished the Grapes of Wrath for the first time. I liked the story a lot but I had a hard time cutting through all the eye dialect. I also really wanted it to wrap up in some fashion.

I love rereading books. I seem to always catch something I missed in previous reads. It's also fun to fall in love with favorite characters again.

I usually reread classics, such as the Brontes and Jane Austen, Mark Twain, Shakespeare.

I re-read my favorites but mostly I re-read certain chapters or phrases, sometimes for a laugh or comfort
I reread when I'm in the mood for some nostalgia. I like to pick up my favorite books when I'm feeling down.

I really want to control my book spending so I can catch up with what I own ams start focusing on rereading and curating my shelves.
I suggest to include the predecessors of House of Spirits because it is part of a trilogy. Maybe another great reading experience for you.
I don’t know if you know this but there’s a third book in the nevermore series called oblivion . You should read it
