Definitely... I wish EA hadnât taken over that much. They destroyed the game for money...
And now they've divorced but are staying together for the kids
I feel like sims 1 was the beginning, they just wanted everything to work. Sims 2 was the upgrade, their desire to really create and establish an franchise so a lot of thought was put into it. Sims 3, they had their franchise so it was the time to explore and try, which kinda overloaded the game at times, but the desire to go above and beyond was there (like we could literally go to the future and meet our descendants, like that shit is really a far fetchef step for the sims). Sims 4, they scale back and rely on the already established franchise to make an easy to play, less requiring game, to make as many people able to play as possible while also making more money for less content.

the sims 1 was created as an âin depthâ look to the families from sim city. so instead of controlling/creating the whole city, you explore the sims who live there. they did create a mostly-realistic life simulator. ive never played sim city but i would imagine it was also a mostly-realistic town builder
According to Wikipedia, Maxis actually didn't support The Sims at first. The article states they gave the game little financial support.

When I played with Moonlight Falls, I made a fairy who worked as a live-in servant for the the Van Goulds. Then I had her explore the town and find the hidden urn and a few other secrets. Adrian then married the fairy, and she encouraged Emily to runaway with the Wolff boy, which pissed Adrian off. He then locked the fairy in that secret room in the attic of the Van Gould mansion and used her as his blood supply
ETA: forgot to add that Pip Goodfellow (think that's his name) died, so I moved his ghost into the household, and he and the fairy began an "affairy" and then Pip locked Adrian outside one day so Adrian died of sunlight before Pip and the fairy took over the Van Gould estate

I have a theory about the painter guy disappearance. You know how some simmers like to kidnap some townies and force them to paint while trapped in a basement and then sell their paintings? Maybe that's what happened to him. Especially if that house painting was never seen before until a year after he was gone? Maybe he's Peanut? And those cursed paintings were his way to warn people? Maybe when his kidnapper found out what was he doing and left him there with no food, only those beans knowing that this will kill him one day?
Thatâs a really solid theory. It also wouldnât be the first time Maxi and EA have used player tendencies as a reference.

I have a problem where I canât enter that building too and then my children sims get scolded for not attending school

I like to give Peanut Bahl the Unlucky trait, for his missing 5th trait. Seems fitting, due to his story, and specifically, his death. I also like to think that Peanut Bahl, being a library ghost, is a similar to, and of, the Lady in Grey, previously featured in older Sims games.
Ooh, his favorite color is grey too!
One problem, if he was unlucky, he could not have died from the jellybean as anytime an unlucky sim dies of anything except old age, grim will resurrect them so he can keep laughing at their misery.

Those dang magic jellybeans. The first time I played with the pack when it first came out, I had my sim eat a jellybean, she wasn't unlucky or anything but she got that 1% chance of death the very first time...I was so mad lol. đđđđ

I always drop everything and watch your videos as soon as the notification pops up. In Moonlight Falls there is another sim whose first name is 'Peanut'. Peanut Ivy is a child in the towns Hippie-Family and if I remember it correctly, they live just behind the library. Pretty strange that 2 sims would have such an unusual name. Maybe there's a connection...

I think it would make more sense if those were Bahl's in the photo and the Van Goulds took over their mansion after locking Peanut - perhaps the "last" Bahl - in the library's basement. Locking him in with only the magic jellybean tree for food, knowing that eventually he would die. It's not a memorial shrine but a trophy room

Could the âVisitorsâ be Wolffs?? Maybe an indication that the Van Goulds are the founders
Or as the description seems to imply the viewers (I.e the ones who painted the painting originally) are visitors and could have been the van Gould's thus meaning that the Wolff's are the true founders

I never seen the haunted paints at that detail...worst mistake, I love those little details like the ghosts and dark auras, It makes me think on the old ghost photographs
I love the atmosphere in moonlight falls, supernatural is my favorite EP because the level of details and lore. Any chance of one series about into the future? Nobody gives this ep a chance
Iâve been playing the sims 3 since it came out and I never even knew there was lore (and LOTS of it) until I started watching this channel. I need to start reading the descriptions on these paintings too from now on!

I have all the world for sims 3 game, yet I always find myself playing in moonlight falls.. â¤ď¸ A perfect family, a witch as a mom, a vampire as father, and the childrens who lives in a big ass mansion (not Van gould house tho. I build my mansion out of scratch and it takes about 6 hr to build)
I could literally watch videos all day with nothing but you reading Build/Buy object (or real estate) descriptions. I know I've said this before, but your voice is so pleasant and calming! (Puns notwithstanding!) This town is one of my favorites, but I hardly play it. Maybe I'll have to do something about that!

Call me crazy.... but that's a shrine to Baal .... sims 3 style. It's meant to be a secret summoning circle room to Baal. That's why it's hidden behind a secret bookshelf with only a llamaport into the room. Who still worships Baal in sims 3? And why is it a secret in an occult town?? That's what I wanna know đ¤Ťđ¤

There's a conspiracy theory that Baal is still worshiped by the ellites and some 'art ' installation are a shrine for him (this art installation is placed during certain date which of course connected to Baal).

I think Peanut Bahl was a beggar/treasure hunter (from his mooch trait) and homeless. And he thought there is no one lived there so he Break in the underground rooms looking for treasures/something important. OR someone paid him to undiscover the place since it has secret door. Its common in some detective-theme novel/crime movies.
But, unfortunately someone locked the secret door (we can do it if we want one of our sim in the household hide something). And my sim tried this to lock her own brother.
Then he died from jelly beans because he ate too much since henlocked inside the secret room. I also tried this to my sims, and one of them died after 3rd times eating.
So maybe.... The owner of the room was still there... Haunting/hiding somewhere.
Iâm so excited for more Moonlight Falls lore, itâs my favorite world in the entire franchise.

I think this town is very creepy and I love it! Gives me true blood vibes sometimes
I paused the vid for a while and stared at the painting "The Visitors". I noticed that the woman looks very pale so there is a chance she is a vampire. What if the supernaturals found Moonlight Falls, but natives already lived there. The natives even though were scared were very friendly towards them. The painter painted a portrait of the "Storngest" family, probably the Van Goulds. But they killed him and took over the town.
The painter could be Ayden Van Gould, who was a 47 year old painter that "messed with the wrong people". The couple seen with the intention to kill Ayden accidentally turned him into a vampire. He probably fell into a coma forgot all his skills, family,friends and name so he had to take the Van Gould last name and kept a random name as his first name. Theoretically when you get turned you die so (Creepy Warning) his soul hauntes the portrait he made before he died. When he woke up he saw the "new" Moonlight Falls (that the couple created with the help of the Wolff family) (When i say new i mean that it turned in a supernatural hide out of some kind)

My sim just got married and got a wedding gift in the mail. It was the Finding Peace painting! It changed in the middle of the night and I sold that sucker! haha No hauntings here!

Moonlight falls is my favorite Sims world.

I just rewatched this today again, because first time was while washing dishes, and since my favorite expansion world is Moonlight Falls, I just had to watch againâŁ
Ironically, in one of my early playthroughs, Peanut was one of the ghosts that was on my lot for the ghost challenge, and if I remember correctly, after making him playable, and he ate some ambrosia autonomously, I later took him to the elixir consignment shop, whereby he consumed a jellybean (autonomously), and once again met his demise â đ... Since the odds are so rare, I wonder if the Sims developers hardcoded it to be just that way? I fiendishly đ love thatâŁ

I have a slightly more wholesome headcanon for Peanut. He was a family friend of the Van Goulds who tragically died young when he pulled the wrong jellybean from the tree, so they kept his remains in a hidden section of the library to honor him. As a ghost, Peanut spends most of his time reading and, if my witch sim were to offer to ressurect him, he would decline, insisting he's perfectly happy haunting the ever-so-peaceful library and spending his afterlife where he is.
I also gave him the Bookworm trait to fill his missing slot.
I wish sims 3 has first person view feature so walking around the town will be awesome. Because I rarely watching the surroundings and focus on my sims

Maybe the ball family were the actual founders of moonlight falls, and the people in the painting âthe visitorsâ are the ancestors of the ball family and the visitors they are referring to could be the van Gould family, who killed the ancestors and peanut
The Fae Ray gardens are a reference to Fay Wray, who is best known as the leading actress in the 1933 version of King Kong.

I think the factory by pappy's house with the tractor reminds me of one of the sims games for gameboy. I think it's just called the Sims 2. You play in a desert town and you're a reality TV star but the town isn't supposed to know everything is tv but there's an area where a mini game is and the factory looks pretty much just like that and there is a tractor game pretty close by.
In the Franco DeLatissi painting you can sort of see the silhouette of a man in the first window.
you should make a character that you use in your investigations that looks like some sort of private detective
Visitors may be victims of the Van Goulds who have been locked in this mysterious empty room that may have been used as a pantry.

I tried so many times to get the jelly bean death and it wouldn't happen, then on another save where I was fairly sure the beans were and a pretty good way to get happiness points, my sim died on the very first bean đ

I think the couple in The Visitors are the original Van Ghoulds. Maybe the painting is saying that they are âvisitorsâ to the town and not the founders like they like to suggest. Just a theory.

I think you are absolutely correct with your theory of hinting at Showtime. đ Showtime came out in March of 2012, and Supernatural in September of 2012.
