Wow.... big kitchen knowledge and talent Lyn...I didn't even know powdered butter was a thing! Yea... home made humus is so good! But one thing seems to be missing from your galley supplies.... and that is Roger-Outs!! :0
You do have refrigeration on board; so, what kinds of things do you provision that stays in your refrigerator? Fresh eggs, butter, half and half, and heavy cream all keep for a long time in the refrigerator and so do many cheeses, like Parmessan Regiano, Feta, and Bleu Cheese, to name a few. And, all of those things are great for making all sorts of dishes. The butter and the cheeses can be frozen. Bacon also lasts a long time in the refrigerator and can be frozen. Also, whole potatoes and sweet potatoes have a long shelf life and so do onions, shallots, and whole fresh garlic. I would also include popcorn as a quick and easy snack. You can order Flavacol (movie theater butter flavored popcorn salt) by the quart sized carton - makes great popcorn. You might also add Panko bread crumbs to your list. Jars of pickles, both spears and chips, olives, capers, and artichoke hearts. Various flavored vinegars for making salad dressings. Canola oil for salad dressings and frying. Honey and Maple syrup last a long time on the shelf. Worcestershire sauce and Fish sauce last a long time on the shelf. So does Wasabi and hot Chinese Mustard powder. Bottled lemon and lime juices last a long time in the refrigerator after opening and years on the shelf if unopened. Dried chicken, beef, and tomato bouillon also keep a long time and are great for making all sorts of dishes, including soups and stews. Finally, you might try keeping a fresh herb bowl growing near a window or out on the deck in good weather. Basil, oregano, cilantro, parsley, chives, thyme, rosemary, and dill all do well in an herb bowl. Otherwise, a great list! Thanks!
12 volt Countertop ice maker, and a rechargeable blender is best thing I bought for my boat, make smoothies and milkshakes, margaritas and unlimited ice for drinks in the Florida heat.......
What a terrific video! I smiled throughout its entirety . You two craft some entertaining, well produced content, and your efforts are much appreciated. Keeping your parrot in as it upstaged the action for a few minutes was a great touch. Thank you for all of the smiles, good cheer, and engaging content. James
We vacuum pack steaks, hamburger patties, chicken, pork etc. We find these items are expensive when you can find them in the Bahamas. Of course you need some freezer capacity to store these items.
Really enjoyed your video! Great ideas for RVing also! Not sure where to buy unwashed eggs, but gives me something to research. Boat porn was stupendous! Thanks again!
Thanks Lyn for the breakdown of some of your food supplies. Since I’m a vegetarian, I have some type of cheese daily in my diet. Do you & Ed not eat that much cheese while living on the boat? What about honey, is that onboard?
Other than youtube social events, and so on, do you really still enjoy boat life after you have tried it and experienced it ? Some say happiest day when you buy first boat and second happiest is when you sell it !
I'm surprised you both don't weigh 350lbs with that selection! Does your boat have a water maker? How expensive are they and what maintenance do they require?
I would pay good money for an adventure on your beautiful yacht. If you’re ever on I.C.W near West Palm dinner on me. Wife and I live right off inter coastal in Tequesta and are looking to charter so I can learn how to get into it. Just retired at 55
Fabulous! You are rockin it in this video… great tips and fun to watch. Cheers, James
Thanks James! 😊

Thanks so much. That's funny. I mentioned the lack of a Roger Out just before he posted the video!
I like canned whole potatoes, and canned Alaskan salmon for salmon patties

Glad you enjoyed it! Lyn has been wanting to make this video for a while. We are glad we got it in before the next trip adventure. Cheers!

Great job, Lynn! ❤🎉👏🏼
Thank you! 🤗
...very interesting
Lyn has done the ''must-have food for two months in the Bahamas,'' video. Next video will be with Ed and the must-have liquor.
It will be a shorter video if we list the types of alcohol that we "don't" bring on board!
@@tryingnottosink9107🤣
Very informative. Some things I never knew about, and some i never would have considered.
WOW!!!! this is impressive. you guys are my idols!
Lyn's impressive. I can barely boil water!
Powdered butter, who knew?? Thanks for sharing 😀
My pleasure 😊
This is great content..✌👍🤙
That's really helpful tips! We don't eat all those, but there's got to be a little something for everyone, in that wide range of food items! 😊❤🛳
LYn,
Thank you so much,
you are a talented cook!

Rik Spector

SOUNDS GOOD.
Loved it--thank you! When are you guys back underway?
We should be back on the water by May 1st.
We vacuum pack steaks, hamburger patties, chicken, pork etc. We find these items are expensive when you can find them in the Bahamas. Of course you need some freezer capacity to store these items.
We do that as well.
I did not see the egg thing coming.
I want to go!

First!
It's about time you reclaimed your throne!
Other than youtube social events, and so on, do you really still enjoy boat life after you have tried it and experienced it ?
Some say happiest day when you buy first boat and second happiest is when you sell it !
Yes, so far. We have been on the water for six years. I imagine we will tire of it eventually.
I'm surprised you both don't weigh 350lbs with that selection!
Does your boat have a water maker? How expensive are they and what maintenance do they require?
It does have water maker but we do not use it. It costs quite a bit to maintain and we spend less than $200 per year on water so we never use it.
Are you two in Key West by chance?
No. Probably in June.
Saw y'all on Hotel Hell with Gordon Ramsey, Brick Hotel season 3, episode 6, 29:15 minutes.
Wow. God catch! They cut out the part where Lyn smacked him for not praising the staff.
I think I just saw you guys on bar rescue. Or it could be your twins.
It was a lot of fun. Jon Taffer watches our channel and invited us to the shooting.
