- Now that our engine has temporarily been fixed, we head to Walderick Wells to visit Boo Boo Hill. We grab a mooring ball at the north end of the park and it is now our favorite place to tie up in the Bahamas!
Boat repair in exotic locations! Thanks again for sharing your adventure.
Yep!
Man, I hate that you encounter problems, BUT man, I sure do learn from those episodes...
Keep em coming guys, you rock!
Will do!
Ed that was a great solution to tying off to the mooring ball capture the ball from the stern!
You are one smart bean counter!
Sometimes the Back Door is the best to snag the mooring Ball! The song made me think of this approach.🤣🛫
We always grab them from the side on our boat since it is about 2 foot lower than the pulpit.
The Folks in New Bern want you to be the over the road tech support for Hatteras yachts.🤣🛫
I would probably qualify at this point!
Best of luck
Your videos keep getting better and betterer!!
I appreciate that!
Like that time lapse in the engine room ending….yacht life!
Funny about the Mooring balls. We stopped to ride out a storm at Treasure Cay at the more or less abandoned mooring balls there. The problem with those is there are no painters on them. This meant anchoring near, launching the Dinghy and putting on a painter. As other boats came and went, I was the concierge that would help each arrive and depart. Had lots of fun meeting all the other boaters that way. Just to note though that there is a lost left at Treasure Cay except those poor mooring balls. I did back down hard on it and those of there survived the gusting winds to just about 50 mph several times in a 3 day period.
I was also trying to see our marker there on Booboo hill we left last year, but you did not get a full shot of all of them. We tried to go this year, but they were fresh out of mooring balls on that side of the Island. We shall certainly get back there there this next year though.
We have been using the same marker for four years. Every time we go we manage to find it again and put it back in it's original spot.
Glad you guys got it fixed!!
Us too!
Thanks, another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I loved the drone shots this week. My favorite videos are those with a mechanical issue to troubleshoot and solve, but it’s nice to see you have a more pleasant experience for once 😊
Glad you like them!
I bet it feels great to moving again 2x👍
It sure did!
Awesome job, so happy you guys got this worked out!! Keep on boating.....
Thanks! Us too!
This is awesome.... Lyn clearly making an effort to make up for the last episode when there were zero Roger Outs. Yay -- it takes this from a good episode to a GREAT episode, especially with no mechanical problems encountered - Yay!

I put one into the next video just for you!
@@tryingnottosink9107 Oh wow!!! This is very exciting!!
cheers from missouri
Ed and Lyn,
You can get more results with a smile and cash than just
a smile, eh?
Boo Boo Hill,
That is enough to make one wonder, why am I Yachting???
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Hi from Texas love watching you guys learning so much about being on the sea and going to different destinations and I think it's neat bartering with others for fish. This looks so fun...but I know it's alot of work too.
Great! Thanks for joining us!
5:49 Oooh, a manchineel tree! Do not touch any part of the tree, or stand under one in the rain. Poison ivy is nothing compared to this plant. You can find them in the Florida Keys. Nobody ever told me about them. As far as I know I never encountered one.
Yep, we stayed far away.
I spent 10 days exploring around the Keys and got pretty good at identifying them. Some are tricky. The black, running "sores" are one of the best confirmations if everything else looks correct (bark color and texture, leaves, etc).
@@festerofest4374 Although I was a longtime Floridian I spent more time in The Bahamas than the Keys. I wasn't yet keen about identifying plants. Unless they were edible.
Jack of all trades doesn't cover it. Just found your channel and doing some binge watching on a 7 degree day here in Tennessee.
Thanks for watching. We hope you enjoy the videos!
thanks for showcasing the true nature of the bahamas! was wondering how much the shaft ran you. i would have bet you would have ordered two.... for the "just in case" on the other engine
About $85. And yes, we ordered a spare.
lol yeah i figured.... i saw only one come out of the box and was thinking you guys were such good preparers i was shocked i didnt see two in that shot! cheers @@tryingnottosink9107
Mooring IMO, is a privacy option, not that most need to be budget friendly, but marina cost can be frankly outrageous. I lived in a 29' express cruiser on the hook in Punta Gorda /Charlotte Harbor for 16 months, and it was no picnic, but no fees except gas for my dingy. I don't get sea-sick, and the rocking let me sleep great. I intend to buy another boat, but I'd like a house boat that is capable to handle some blue water waves as necessary... Source Blessings, and safe journeys.
We moor out occasionally. Sometimes in the Exumas. It is great for a good night's sleep, however, Lyn hates grabbing them.
Keep an eye out from the hurricane approaching that way.
Think these are posted a few months after filming so they are nowhere near there now
We are in Philly!
It's awesome how candid you are about all the ups and the downs. I learn a lot. Just curious, is there any significance to Lyn saying "Roger Out" sometimes after Ed's commentary? Former military maybe?
you say that after Finnish talking on the radio. so it lets everyone know your thru talking so that they know they can speak next
Lyn started saying it a few years back to let me know she was going to stop recording. Eventually, I included it in a video and somehow it became our catch phrase.
@@tryingnottosink9107 That's right! Roger-Out!!
cheers from missouri - need to kiss neptunes belly now while drunk as a sailor cant legally get - one thousand three hundred miles south of dutch harbor alk - all is well for now and repairs made - deadly catch cast aways
Cheers from Philly!
Love your vids, wife and I just made that journey a little more than a year ago on our way to our place on Long Island. What artist and song is on your intro? Safe passages from Islander.
It is from Jessie Villa. We use a lot of her music on our channel.
What does your Hatt draft? And have you found that it prevents you from exploring all the places you want due to a bigger boat?
Ours drafts 5.5 fully loaded, and I’m wondering if that will exclude us from a lot of the best anchorages in the Bahamas
So when does Neptune relieve the gifts? In other words, what time is the party starting? lol That sure is a bunch of wood collected by those gift givers!
The party never stops!
why didnt you replace both shafts in both engines,if ones gone the other carnt be far off
I bought a spare in case that happens. I am vacationing in the Bahamas. I can change it at a later date.
GREAT NEWS.
