Kamelot is a power metal band from Tampa, Florida, however the current singer, Tommy Karevik, is from Sweden. The woman in this song, Alissa White-Gluz, is Canadian. She is doing the growls and female cleans. She is the former singer and frontwoman of The Agonist and the current frontwoman and singer of Arch Enemy. Also, there is an official music video for this song, although I don't know if you avoided it on purpose or not. #Kamelot

I got to meet Kamelot when they came to my city, went backstage and got to hang out with them, met their original singer Roy Kahn and hung out with their bass player by their tour bus. Leaves Eyes were the opening act.

This whole album is so darn good. From start to finish it is a powerhouse of lyrical and musical goodness

Check out Seventh Wonder, the other band of singer Tommy Karevik. His voice is even better there.

Tommy Karevik is the singer. Try his other band, Seventh Wonder. He has more vocal freedom in that band. "Star of David" please.

I think its time you get introduced to some 'fantasy metal': Rhapsody - Unholy Warcry and Ancient Bards - Impious Dystopia
Nice, this is power metal and Kamelot is one of the leading band of the genre. Although I am not a huge fan of this type of metal i still think it remains an important step to take in a metal discovery journey. So in that spirit, i would recommend Stratovarius, Gamma Ray, Rhapsody, Sonata Arctica, all of which are bands that, objectively ;) needs to be explored to cover the power metal style. I dont do any requests btw cause like i said, its not the type of metal that i am into, but i still think its totally worth to check them out.

personally....i would never start with a Tommy era Kamelot at first..."center of the universe" with Roy Khan
I discovered them in Tommy era and that made them even better when I discovered Roy later on. I think it's perfect for making the band better and grow on you :)
