RedheadGab she's the lead singer of arch enemy. she's not the original lead for that band but just as good
I liked her so much more with the Agonist. She really showed us her incredible talent of gutturals and cleans (especially in the Swan Lake acapella rendition). With AE she seems to be more one-sided with the growls. I like the mix of both a lot more.

Alissa has done a fair amount of work with Kamelot both live and in studio. She also worked with Soilwok on their song Stalfagel (worth checking out), along with Kamelots Sacrimony and Arch Enemy's most recent single Handshake with Hell
Alissas clean vocals are straight amazing. She can growl and sing. What else do u want in a woman? Attractive well lucky you shes got that too

It's absolutely insane how amazing Alissa's cleans still are - it's understandable that with a super well established and long lasting band like Arch Enemy they need to be concerned with moving away from their signature sound and allow her to expand on just the growling but I definitely think it's the right move. Every single Arch Enemy fan out there by now knows that her potential far exceeds the use her voice is being put to in the band and how fantastic she is outside of just AE. I hope they let her do her thing for the next album that's coming, it's time.
Even not being a fan of continuous growls, I've gotta admit Alissa is phenomenal. Great stage presence, completely on point and EXCELLENT clean vocals.

alissa is great at what she does with arch enemy. her cleans are amazing though, which is why she's working on a solo project and does songs like these with other groups. i would love to see more of it though for sure
But not as phenomenal as her growls, so no, she's not wasted. The two albums she did with Arch Enemy were the best of both her career and Arch Enemy's, in my opinion.
You'll probably disagree, and that's fine. Tastes differ. But to say she's wasted is dumb.
there was a rumor going that arch enemy might be doing some with clean vocals (and they already have a like a song or 2 with alissa clean vocals)

Alissa White-Gluz does the "beauty and the beast" vocal style, but she doesn't need a backup. She can just do it herself, and she switches between the two seamlessly.

Everyone has hates something thats different, new. I would most likely be upset if Tommy quite and not like the new vocalist, its the same with Roy, all bands have this.
I wasn't aware people "don't like" him. I know people who are partial to Roy Khan. Roy Khan had a unique timbre to his voice and will never be perfectly replaced, but Tommy is an excellent vocalist and frontman.
Some people will always hate it, when a band gets a new lead singer. It's been 12 years, but Nightwish is still spammed about Tarja. Some people just can't let it go.
Roy Khan is the most intense man I've ever seen on a stage, but that doesn't change the fact that Tommy is awesome.
The Tommy era was when I first got into Kamelot, but listening back to the Roy Era, I think he was slightly better.
I am glad though, that they replaced him with someone who's a great singer in his own right and happens to be a great fit for their sound instead of someone who just sounds like a poor copy of Roy.
Because replacing Roy Khan is impossible. He does what he can & what he's good at, bringing his own style to Kamelot while trying not to be something he's not - a Roy Khan clone, because that simply does not exist. He's basically the best guy they could find, & he's great in my opinion. He's not Roy Khan, & that's pretty much why people don't like him.
One of the best songs they have ever written, the energy produced during a life performance will kick you in the gut....

Tommy can't look a point on the crowd much time, in my country we know that as "Nervous Sight". It's a defect which was noticeable in many of his presentations although now he is hiding it better.
Another point is that he doesn't have much stage presence and is years away from a great frontman as Roy Khan. I prefer Tommy vocals on studio, but as a live frontman I prefer Roy.

Well, I saw a lot of Tommy's performance as in Seventh Wonder as much in Seventh Wonder as in Kamelot. It's a defect that Tommy seems to be correcting through the years. But it's also the simple fact that Alissa has a very superior stage personality and charisma.
Everytime Alissa enters to the stage is a show and the Tommy's shadow decreases.

I love the guy loads, I really do, and this is my favourite song by them. He does however have somewhat of a weak voice, moreso live. She held back a fair bit compared to her usual live videos, she’s way louder usually.
Tommy's voice lsn't weak. Alyssa iis totally overpowering him,she's just that badass. Its live, too. I Love Alyssa,and going to listen to another Kamalot with her on it. Check out other songs with Simone Simmons,Charlotte(Delain)Lisa(Once Human)Floor Jansen,they all can overpower Tommy, and are Badasses!!!
