still the strongest memories to these songs and the era during cold war when fish met his german wife and became the iconic german scottish singer talking about germany during cold war and the west Berlin island and Hansa studios there where this album had been recorded. It has been composed and recorded there - just a few meters away from the icron curtain or Berlin Wall which became famous also in the song David Bowie released in the late 70s called Heroes. But Misplaced Childhood had been recorded there 7 years later at the peak of Cold War before Gorbatchov became President. I see convoys curb crawling West German Autobahns Trying to pick up a war They're going to even the score Oh... I can't take any more And in these years he had watched german Autobahn full of military convoy from all the allied forces slowly moving some where and causing all the traffic jams which slowed everything down. I remember it being played on the radio in '91. Back then, of course, everyone thought "nice tune" etc. Years later, most people say "this is a timeless masterpiece." Probably because no one does such things anymore... It's sad because living music dies along with our musical heroes. There are albums left, but nothing new on the horizon...

One of my all time favourite bands who I saw live 4 times. Just phenomenal, both live and in the studio, with a gigantic catalogue of music. In my opinion if you can't find a UFO song you like, you don't like music.
