Using a Power Broom for Spring Cleaning the Yard

A definite upgrade to the trusty rake, this power broom makes pretty quick work of all the gravel and debris that makes its way into your yard over the winter. Definitely not a tool that is required for yard maintenance, but it certainly saves a lot of time and backache. I for one, am very thankful that dad helps clean up the ditch so that I can mow it without throwing rocks all summer.
A couple tips:
- a mower that has 4WD makes it a lot easier to power the broom
- wear safety protection so you don't get dust or debris in your eyes/ears
- work with the wind or you'll be eating dust for days

Agreed - although when we did go that approach we didn't get it done until July! But a little manual labor is definitely on their lists!
