I was driving around and noticed this Overgrown Lawn that was at least 15 to 20FT tall in spots so I knocked on the door to see if I could mow it for FREE. This Single Mom was so excited and thankful, she ended up in tears. You won't believe the thickness of this grass, I was mowing through brush, tree's, weeds, I have NEVER seen a yard so tall but so blessed on the transformation.

Why not use a Ventrac with a flail mower ? I’d think a better looking result.. Or cut the grass, as you pull a vacuum unit behind you ? Just wondering….Thanks

Those really tall weeds look like what my grandmother called Horse Weeds. They grew along the river, in the pasture fields, along the side of the barn, they were a nightmare!! You did a fantastic job on this property!
I've watched so many of these lawn makeovers and I'm always impressed with the final product. The one thing I have noticed is no one ever comes out and lends a hand.

Please, please, please, in future use eye protection when strimming.
Even if to only set a good example to any inexperienced gardeners.
Quicker to put on a visor or safety glasses than go to hospital.
That aside, a good job well done and gratefully received by the mom there.

Man you just completely renovated that whole yard. The fact that you and your son was able to do this is completely shocking to find a shed, swing set. A generator as well I'm just speechless and amazed her yard looks amazing.

There is a hoarding problem going on here. When went to the door to introduce himself, you could see that the front room was wall to wall to the ceiling with cardboard boxes.

Single mom appears to be super humble and happy. Great job helping them out. I love cutting grass and was on my mower for 6 hours straight yesterday with 3M worktunes headset on jamming while i cut :)
I'll never be able to wrap my mind around how no one, not one neighbor, would help these people.

@@zararatcliff5113 Not every illness is visible to your eyes, physical or mental. Eric never asks what the problem is, he just sees the need and offers help. You might want to take a page out of his book and be a little kinder no matter what the circumstances are!

I was raised by a single mom that struggled to keep her yard up, in between her 2 jobs and side gigs. It's great she's getting help. Now the kids can possibly enjoy the yard too.

Totally awesome Erik, what a huge help and relief for this woman! And the yard really needed the right equipment to come in and make it manageable again. It’s a ginormous lot. We never know what’s going on in a persons life and so many people are struggling just to get by, put food on the table and pay bills. Especially the last two plus years. Clearly she really appreciates what you and Lawson did to make her life easier, what a gift! Sweet young woman too, love her red hair!

I didn't catch why her lawn got that bad. You always do a great job n your boy is learning alot from his Dad. I'm glad I am healthy at 71 n still mow my half acre every 2 weeks. I have put in beautiful gardens. I have had several people offer to help keep my yard mowed but as long as my health holds up I will be out there probably till I'm in my late 80's. Don’t get me wrong, it’s really great what you’re doing. For me personally though, I wouldn’t have touched that yard with anything less than my bush hog. That was more like a pasture than a yard. I will say though, definitely a testament to the mower you used! But I’m also the kind of person who would have walked every inch of that yard that was possible. I don’t have the best luck, and I assure you I would have hit something that damaged my bush hog lol!
