LOVE BRT COMMUNITY!!
Cheers!
You guys are the greatest. You are the best teachers of the art of enjoying fine Bourbon. Thank you !
Thank you. There was a bunch of information about the production process of the rum that they aged in the finishing barrels, but the episode was too long and I had to cut it out.
Let the turkeys run wild!!!!
They will be on thanksgiving at my house!
Thanks for the opportunity! I am a big wild turkey fan!
I am too. This one wasn't like any WT product I have ever had.
I love Wild Turkey!!
Me too. It is hard to beat RB or RR SiB
I also enjoy Wild Turkey. It is awesome that you are willing to give some samples away. Thanks for all you do keeping this troll free.
Good luck
Great video. We can't blame distillery's for wanting to benefit from this boom. They are making it easier to not have FOMO, and so are you. Thanks again.
My thoughts exactly!
Anything that militates against FOMO is a good thing. 🙂
Thanks for the fabulous opportunity and generosity. Keep making these fabulous videos.
Thank you! Will do!
I’ve never had any of the allocated items from Turkey other than Kentucky Spirit but I love Rare Breed.
RB and RR SiB are their best products in my opinion. Most of the MK have been too oaky for my palate. The one exception for me has been RR13. I love that bottle.
Thanks for the great content and friendly environment! I agree with others, no way I’d pay that much for a bottle.
Good luck in the rando.
I am loving Turkey. I paid up and got the Single Rickhouse. Passed on Generations. Great content.
I have not tried Generations. I am curious, but it it so rich for my blood.
In for the Turkey's, thx gents.
Good luck!
Thank you for the honest feedback, I look forward to sampling these out
Good luck in the rando!
Nice seeing so many people not like this bottle and it be silly expensive. Hopefully it comes back down next year
I hope so too. We will see how Generations sells too. Those to may turn out to be the experiments that stop the higher price trend.
Bought the new board game today. Going to play with family over the Holidays!
It is pretty fun. I just don't know a lot of movie references.
Would love to try this, even at a “pass”!
Good luck in the giveaway!
I have the WT13 and really enjoy it.
Interesting! I do not like the 13 Father and Son, but everyone's palate is different.
This one is funky! Still love the Turkeys though!
I won't turn my back on them over this. Just a miss in my opinion.
Would love to try the Masters Keep series. Always have 4 Wild Turkey bottles on my shelf, 101 and Rare Breed Bourbon and Rye.
Good luck in the rando!
The tough thing for me at this price point - it's very difficult to find a sample or a pour in a bar (here in Indy anyway) to make a value judgment. Jumping in blind for $300 is tough.
It comes down to your whiskey budget. For some people the risk is min, but for those of us on a budget I think this is a try before you buy or a pass situation.
I appreciate all the insight you provide.
Our pleasure!
I am a fan of wild turkey and would love to try them!!!! thank you.
This one was really unique
Loved the narration during the cut scene lol! Thanks for reviewing this…I was debating on trying to hunt it but I’ll pass on this one.
We had fun on this one.
Thanks for the review guys. I had wanted to find a Masters Keep but it’s now just too expensive for me. The Decades release is even more over the top in price.
At 89.99 we were treating it like a regular pour. We just didn't know what it would become.
Love seeing the reviews. Your palettes seem to be close to mine. Thx again
Glad you like them!
Wild Turkey 101 is my favorite bourbon for cocktails. I have never seen a special release bottle here in Minnesota. Would love to try them.
Well, maybe you will win the giveaway! Good luck.
First time hearing of this
It is a weird one. I don't know how the funk would pair with a cigar.
Hey great fun video. Yea this Master Keep is not getting a lot of love. Excited you are sharing. I believe sharing is caring. thanks again cheers
We are going to be doing a lot more reviews and a lot more giveaways!
@@BourbonRealTalk great idea. Cheers
I'm glad you posted this video. These bottles are always marked waaaaaay up over MSRP in my area. Seriously doubt I'd pay MSRP let alone markup. Keep up the great content!!
I am glad it was helpful!
I purchased a WTMK Voyage. It was $230 out the door. I really enjoy the bottle. It’s the most I have ever spent on a bottle. With that being said, is it my favorite bottle I own; NO. Cheers
I am glad you enjoy it!
I’m in! We never see those here in Oregon.
Good luck!
I always enjoy your content. I also lost a brother to suicide so I really do appreciate your postive messaging. Well done!
Thank you for being here. I'm so sorry to hear about your brother.
Thanks for the honesty. Big fan of Wild Turkey! Will start looking for that 12!🥃
It is Japan only. A viewer send me mine as a gift. If you know someone over there or traveling there. It won't be hard to find there.
Thanks!
Great video once again. Love the content and the honest opinions.
I appreciate that!
Great video. Had to pass on this one due to the price, but interested for sure to try.
Maybe you can win the sample pack!
Love u guys channel, love to try turkey products.
I am a huge fan of WT, this one was just so different.
I hope I never pay this much for a bottle but ……. Great Show as always! Put me in the drawing please. Thank you.
Good luck!
The 12 year 101 is amazing. I bought 5 bottles of it while is was available locally. Great show.
It is pretty solid. I did well in last week's blind.
Love to have those Turkey samples. Love WT and always have a Rare Breed and a RR Select (store pick) on my bar. But no matter what, keep the great content coming. Cheers!!
Will do! Good luck!
I would love to try all of these! Definitely can't justify spending 300 for the new one though. That's for sure
Good luck in the rando!
Another great video! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Turkey Time! Thanks for the review
Cheers!
Great video guys!!!
Glad you liked it!
WT12 is one of my unicorns. $300 is hard to swallow for MK or any bottle for me
The WT12 isn't expensive or hard to find in Japan. If you know anyone going there you should be able to find one.
Great video
Thanks for the visit
Kroger in Indiana for 239 on their case deal (6 bottles of any wine or spirit).
A little better, but still to rich for my blood.
Great review!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great stuff as usual, sir!
Glad you liked it!
I wanna taste that expensive Turkey. Have not had a bad one yet so very curious. But that 12 year too OMG yes please
Good luck in the rando! I ended up including the 12 year and the 13 year Father and Son samples.
😯@@BourbonRealTalk
Would love to try the voyage! Big rum guy too
I suspect that if you love Jamaican rum and bourbon you may think this is out of this world.
@@BourbonRealTalk when I found out WT and Appleton were collaborating I thought it would be a perfect due to both having their own little funk
Been looking for this expression and was hoping for BRTC's opinion for a while. This was really good! If i see it at MSRP, maybe it will be my "Christmas present" 🍻
If you have the budget it would be an interesting one to have around.
@@BourbonRealTalk for sure. I was initially a rum-guy before getting into bourbon. So finding this would be a good marriage of the spirits i enjoy
Would love some Turkey for Thanksgiving! Another great video!
Thanks so much!
WT 100%
Cheers!
Would love the samples. Regardless, great video. I just got a bottle at Total Wine and had my first taste while watching this video! I am not a fan of the nose. I do think the pallet is good however. Maybe not $269 good but I like it. I am however a Foursquare rum fan. I have a 14 Foursquare aged in Bourbon barrels and it is excellent. It did not cost $300!
Good luck in the rando!
I would love to try all those!
Good luck in the rando!
Thanks for keeping the bourbon talk "real."I'll be happy to try them Nall, especially the Wild Turkey 12 Year. Cheers, gentlemen.
I threw in the 13 year Father and Son too!
Nice!
I’m gonna win one of these giveaways one day 🙏
Good luck!
I can say with complete confidence that I will never pay $300 for a single bottle.
Here here!
That is fair.
Damn. I’ve bought a bottle of tequila for $5,000. Haven’t opened it lol
@@jimbobimboslice Everyone's budget is different. I never judge another person for what they spend.
@@BourbonRealTalk Same. It’s very relative.
Great channel btw. Managed to get a Sam Adams Utopias too but haven’t opened it either. From all the reviews I hear, it’s totally worth trying at least once.
Thanks for the review guys! It would be fun to try these, but based on what you are saying $300 is a tough pill to swallow...
Good luck in the rando!
Thanks! @@BourbonRealTalk
As much as I enjoy Wild Turkey products, it's hard to justify the prices of Master's Keep, especially at secondary market prices. Keep up the good work!
I would be disappointed at srp, so I could not imaging how I would feel at a secondary price.
Turkey is getting pricey!
They don't have major production capacity increased coming, so this is what they need to do for business reasons.
I would not turn down a pour but I definitely couldn’t pay the price!
I feel the same way.
I moved in with my wife when we got married. My Master's Keep Decades is still in a box somewhere.
It is a solid pour. One of my favorite MKs
I have a bottle of Kentucky Owl that was a little over this price, it was a gift. It is hard for me to imagine paying this much for a single bottle myself. I'm still fairly new to the Bourbon world and the only Wild Turkey I have tried is 101. It was decent but I don't know that I would buy it again. I am looking forward to trying the Rare Breed and Kentucky Spirit bottles.
It will be interesting to see if you like Rare Breed and Kentucky Spirit. WT101 is widely considered on of the best value pours, so if you don't like it you may have a palate that is very different from the average whiskeytuber.
@@BourbonRealTalk Interesting indeed. I went ahead and cracked the others so I could try them out. Kentucky Spirit was not that great in my opinion, but I did like the Rare Breed. I thought it was significantly better than the others. It's interesting how the same mash bill can be applied in different ways. For a value pour I would rather have Buffalo Trace which I have been lucky enough to find plenty of in my area.
Love these kinds of videos. Big Turkey Fan (No Pun) but the super allocated bottles don’t make it to my area very often. 🥃 Cheers!
TBH the super allocated turkey products are not my favorite. It is hard to beat a good Rare Breed or Russell's SiB.
I bought a pour of the Russels 13 at the distillery earlier this year. Unfortunately they did not have any for sale that day so still no dice on the 13 year but it is possibly one of the best pours I have ever had.
@@BourbonNRyeGuy It was high on my list as well!
Love the Real Talk content. You are my goto whiskey tube channel. I started my whiskey journey after watching episode 137. 10 bourbons better than Blanton's. Now we have 140 or so bourbons, ryes, and American Whiskeys on our home bar.
If you have a significant other tell them I said I am sorry 🤣
And to think the Generations is going to be even more expensive
I doubt I will get to try that one, but if I do I will try to do a review.
Thank you for the opportunity to maybe try something new.
Of course!
As long as whiskey 🥔s continue to pay high prices, don't see MSRP being lowered. I would rather have the distiller take a larger profit than some scalper.
If they marked up something familiar and delicious I would be more on board with the price.
WT trying to cash in on that secondary.... I got the option to buy a Generations...$450 before tax and shipping!
People need to keep in mind that each distillery is trying to balance supply and demand. A distillery like BT has doubled capacity, so they can not raise prices too much or they will kill demand right when new capacity hits the market. WT didn't expand capacity, so they need to raise prices or risk having everything go on allocation. That said, I think the pricing for this years MK and Generations is a little much.
Glad to see honest reviews on expensive items
I do not say untrue things. Not for money or anything else.
I won a drawing to purchase the WT Master Keep Voyage at $300. I did buy it. Truth be told, that's the most I have ever spent on 1 bottle. I am happy to have a unicorn whiskey, but the price is very steep
THE WILD TURKEY PRICES LATELY HAVE BEEN INSANE!

Randy, I'm aligned very well with this review. It's not a great whiskey, and for the price point, I expect better. It was fine, just fine, but not worth the price of admission.
I am hearing that same thing from others who have tried it. The only person who gave it glowing reviews was a Jamaican rum and bourbon collector, which makes sense.
I have watched a lot of your videos and appreciate your opinion, if I made more money I would try a lot of what you drink.
I appreciate that!
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Great video! Please add me to the Turkey giveaway!! Have already passed on the Voyage when I saw it due to the price. Looking forward to trying it in a swap or at least buying a pour! Cheers all!
You will need to fill out the link in the video description. Good luck!
I could not pull the trigger for that kind of money.
Understandable.
As a Wild Turkey fan, I'd definitely like to have the samples but no way would I pay those prices.
Good luck in the raffle.
This bottle at its SRP is a tough buy for me as the most I’ve paid for a single bottle is about 165+tax for RR13.
I’d be keen to sample the WTMK selections as I do love most WT products though!
Good luck in the rando
That shit gonna sit right on that shelf 😂
There will be people that snatch it up. The stores probably won't get to price gouge.
After the Generations release this one is starting to feel like a steal 😅
I have not had a chance to try Generations. My theory is Turkey doesn't have capacity increases in the works, so raising prices makes good business sense.
Will never pay $300 for a bottle. Huge Wild Turkey fan though
Luckily they have plenty of value pours!
I enjoy WT products but they are starting to rise drastically, but I'll continue to drink it!

I had an almost violent reaction to how much I hate turkey for putting this 30 bucks juice in a fancy bottle for 300 lol
You, me and SLB seem to be the only ones that hate it.
Everyone else says its good, but too expensive..... but I legit think it is terrible.
There is some truth to this statement.
Great video. I agree that the price tag is hard to swallow
It really is!
It would be a pass for me to. Thanks for the info
Cheers!
Love Turkey but their special releases this year jumped the shark price-wise. This, single Rick and generations is over $1000 and that’s if you get them retail 😵💫
They are definitely testing pricing. At some point they will find the ceiling and act accordingly. People need to keep in mind that each distillery is trying to balance supply and demand. A distillery like BT has doubled capacity, so they can not raise prices too much or they will kill demand right when new capacity hits the market. WT didn't expand capacity, so they need to raise prices or risk having everything go on allocation.
My total whisky budget for four months would barely cover the price of that bottle. If someone can afford it without hindering the payment of necessary expenses, and wants to spend it, that's his money and I won't interfere. But I find it hard to believe that any whisky, in and of itself without consideration of the name or the rarity or the fashionableness of the bottle, is worth that price. I can afford the 101, and it's very good for the price, and I'll stick with that (and other good whiskies that don't require selling my firstborn 🙂).
Solid logic!
The wild turkey higher tier products are getting ridiculously expensive. I wish they stayed in the $150 range
I suspect they are texting their pricing limits. Eventually they will find the ceiling.
I love just about all Wild Turkey products. Will likely pass on this for the price after your review. Appreciate you, your review(s)/content and everyone in the BRTC! Happy almost Turkey day!
Appreciate you being here - Happy Thanksgiving!
Nice review! Personally love WTMK
I am traditionally a fan, but have you had this one?
@@BourbonRealTalk had a taste in Kentucky…. It was different. Still liked it but the price is getting high!
@@chancedownsvids My thoughts exactly.
Id love to try all of them but would have a hard time dropping $300 for a finished product.
At least the base whiskey was 10 years. Still, it is hard to justify that price.
@@BourbonRealTalk that is true.
I wouldn’t pay 300 for it but would drink it if a friend did😂
Same 😀
2023 is the yr Campari killed Wild Turkey LEs. Voyage followed by Generations and Rickhouse F. Unaffiliated but even crazier are the Pride of Anderson County single barrels. No chance I’m gonna pay for the RR15 at this rate and it’ll likely just diminish the RR13.
WT is in a unique position. They have growing demand but not growing supply. They need to price some of their buyers out of the market or run out of inventory. BT on the other hand doubled supply, so they need all the demand they can maintain.
I’ve had the opportunity to try the voyage and have to agree it’s not worth the price. WT12 is way better for the price point if you can get it overseas in Asia for sub $100.
I would agree!
17 year is the only one I have tried
I had both 17 year Master Keeps, and I didn't think either of them was as good as WT101. WT just doesn't do as good at those high ages.
@@BourbonRealTalk yeah WT has a little bit of that funk/sour taste so I can see that last years unforgotten was fantastic I thought it was top tier
It is hard for me to pull the trigger on this bottle at this price point. There are a lot of options once you reach this level.
I would rather have a bunch of bottles of WT101, Rare Breed, and Kentucky Spirit.
I’ve never tasted a Masters Keep, but a big fan of Rarebreed and Russell’s. If you wouldn’t spend $300 on this years MK, would you spend $450 on the Generations? 😮
That is an interesting question. If my grocery bill had not doubled in the last 2 years while at the same time all of my core businesses slowed down, I probably would. Right now, I would not pay $450 on anything without trying it first, and even if I loved it at that price it might be a no.
Quickly clicking on the calculator....The Voyage would be $344 in Washington. Ouch.
Wow! I always feel bad for my whiskey friends in Washington. Taxes are crazy!
