Being a life time Nuggets fan, it's still surreal that people talk about them in a positive light. Growing up you couldn't give Nuggets tickets away. They use to drop tickets off at the elementary schools and no kids would take them. Jokic and Murray will go down as the two greatest Nuggets of all time.

20 points is alot if points to choke away. Particularly in a 100 point game. Thats 20% of the poinys scored in that game. Thats an effective minimum of 7 possessions that the lakers had to botch. Realistically much more. 7 possessions is 7% of thr average number of possessions per 48 in 2024. No lead is safe when you choke thats for sure

Only chance Lakers have is to feed AD 60% of the shots to slow the half court and get better offense. Need more size off the bench for rebounding, some players need to be active af on the glass (Rui, Hayes, Prince). I won’t change the starters and fek with it, it’s mostly working but we just can’t execute as well as Denver down the stretch, I need AR to be the guy as he’s proven before.
I’m disappointed in the following:
- Rui’s lack of IQ and aggression
- ARs ability to make plays when Bron is on the bench
- Team sloppiness (with executing possessions) with the ball
- impatience down the stretch
- Lebron’s uncharacteristic sloppiness with the ball and in decision making
- Rotations and timely set plays.

LAL did same thing vs NOP. Get up big then go into “play to not lose mode.” Frustrating as hell because when they play together, particularly offensively, they are hard to beat. They’re getting these decisive leads because they’re tough. But they lack coaching to get objectively get everyone back in line. Credit to Coach Malone because he seems to make the right decision most of the time. When he calls a timeout the team comes back ready and focused.

But I do also kinda agree with her take. The Sixers, even without Embiid healthy, should still have enough to contend well against the Knicks and hold out long enough until Embiid can get back to some playing form.
The Lakers, we all feel, were gonna lose this series with Denver, even if the Lakers won last night instead. We all anticipated a sweep ke gentleman's sweep, even before the series started.
I think the Lakers lost in a more heartbreaking fashion, for sure, but relative to who actually has a chance to move on to the second round, the loss last night for Philly kinda seals the deal for their best chance--and they truly had a chance.
