I love how this guy is basically a celebrity now
Litteraly
He is super talented! I didnât realize the scope of all he does musically. So incredibly impressive!
Based on the one time I briefly met him after a show, heâs a really giving, humble and nice human.
đ€źđ€źđ€źđ€źđ€źđ€źđ€ź
Right! My brother ran into him at an airport and sent me a pic with him.
For me, the keytar blends and complements the musical intention and is not overdone
at all. And the young man has a lot of stage presence and is a skilled player. From a
person (boomer) who marched in the very early 80's. I like this. Does every corps
need a keytar player? Probably not. The Blue Coats have added another voice that
complements the music and helped to sell the show to both the judges and the
audience. They left us wanting more and wondering what they will do next. That's
what sells tickets. Doing things different while keeping some of the traditional.
When I got to see this show live, I was blown away at how warm and full of a sound the Keytar had. It blended so well with the hornline, it was incredible!
I'm a dinosaur and I could not love this show more. I was in Bridgemen and I think this is the kind of thing they would be doing now if they were still around.
I saw it early in the season and they were still figuring out how to blend him with the ensemble but it sounded great at finals! also one of my friends met the soloist
Garbage.
@@ryanrosales118Yeah heâs a pretty nice guy
This might be the best thing I've ever seen in DCI history. Seriously.
Bottle Dance
Very debatable for âbestâ if weâre looking at objectively. But subjectively, I can see it.
Dude absolutely rips.
â@@MartinDGarcia1 I'm really on the fence between this solo and many other great DCI moments. But this is just SO unique and stands alone outside of "traditional" DCI moments! Easily one of the coolest moments in DCI history
It's the death of true DCI. Congratulations.
I started getting into synthesizers recently and I'm not going to pretend this show didn't have anything to do with it. Awesome job dude!
Me but Bloo in general (I actually reverse engineered the pitch bend synth).
I want to buy a Keytar because of this show
Before anybody comes and hates on this video (and they WILL), just pause the video at 1:25 and look at how hyped the performers werre and listen to that crowd and go check yourself. This aint 1980's DCI anymore so get over it... And for the record, my marching years were 87-92. This whole show was possibly my favorite show of ALL time.
Thank you for respecting these newer performers.
Truth.
The looks on their faces are what always seal the deal for me. They're so damn happy. And that makes ME so damn happy.
This show sucked
@@torrybrockert5750 sucked so bad it tied for 2nd place!
Is nobody talking about his flex at the end? đȘ
Was boutta say lol 1:27
lmao the lighting is crazy there
bro literally left earth mentally for that god tier solo
I wish I had half of this guys joy while playing shows. He's becoming one with the music here and it's awesome
I am in love with Ryan Jacobs, I wish they had won so we could see a victory run headcam
It's all about the joy of moving music, and Bluecoats bring that best. Thank you for finding the talents among your young people and sharing them with all of us--and not just this year.
the brass is like absolutely insane and the way bro just connects with the music makes the whole show just feel more special this is probably one of my favorites of all time holy crap
bro is literaly the main character
He got to rock out! Unreal energy.
Holy cow, we've never gotten highlights this quickly.
Kid's a rock star đ€
My marching band watches dci finals at Lucas oil every year, and this last season, he was in our seat section, and a bunch of us got pictures with him. He's super nice!
I GOT TO MEET HIM AFTER THE SHOW IN THE LOT AND OMG HES SO NICE YES
Damn his energy is crazy
BROOOOOO HES SO GOOD??? ALSO THE BRASS HOLY HELL
When he finished I involuntarily shouted "YEAH" and spooked my dog
No you didn't.
@@juneyellowsnek nobody asked
Let's take a moment and imagine you are the camera man who was right in front of that pack. That right there is the best spot you can be for that! He probably wasn't thinking of it that way, but that is where you need to be to feel the power the best!
Anybody that happy to be performing has clearly won in life.
This is the best thing of 2022
I love the little jump snare 2 does at the end of the segment
This part is so badass.... Actually may be the best part of the season for any show
Whoops almost forgot to listen to this today
Heâs having the time of his life and I love it lmao
I love that this was mostly improv and still was so good for finals night. This solo is so beautiful.
Iâve been wanting a keytar for months and this absolutely solidifies wanting one, so sad I wasnât able to get to see it for myself other than the clip in band class
bros having the time of his life
back again. his passion and enthusiasm is so hot. he just jams out. god i would love to meet this dude
His excitement makes me happy
What raw emotion looks like
Anyone notice the girl bottom right at the end basically saying ..."that's right! Stand up!". Love it!
This kid made the 2022 show.
Loved it!
Watching this is a part of my daily routine
1:14
The guy that just slides on his knees is so fun to watch
I own a key tar and they are freaking amazing. This dude really just took me into another dimension. đđđ
Yes.
Is it just me or does he look a little like Tommyinnit also I love Keytar man all 3 he in my district had a watch party and we went crazy for him
Yeah kinda does look like him
.
that's what i was thinking the whole time lmao
Nah bro is Ryan Trahan
I mean his name is literally Ryan
this makes my brain so happy dude
1:17
His face says it all⊠đ
Smacking!!!
we love ryan đ
Dayum!
I wish they had keytar when I was in pit! Freaking phenomenal!
Drum major was vibing at 1:20
Explain to me how BD won GE.
The keytar is making a comeback!
you can see how into it he is
Just LIVING!!!!
I think Iâve watched all 600 videos of this keytar solo. đ
This should have been their closer in my opinion
So, at the DCI judge's seminar this winter will they still be asking "is this really GE, is this really communicating with the audience?"
He should be rocking it more, I believe that would add more to GE.
I now have keytar on my list of music gear to purchase!!
Iâve watched this 7 times
I know that mf face, I make that face performing right before I cry
This'll make an insane poster 1:30
thats going in the history books
Bro is the main character
0:49 that brass tho
Heâs the next Shane o brien from bluecoats 2016 đđheâs the next dci icon
this song makes me feel like im going to die from another wandering vagrant
Is it just me or does the keytar look like cloudâs buster sword
What song is this???
Does anyone know the source music for this part
They need to zenkai their outfit
I get it. Itâs a key-blade. đŹđ€Ł
Was he in the percussion section, he is playing a keyboard!?
He's in the mello section! You can see him run out to the front after one of their previous sets
@@nathanaylesbury3695 Thank you for that. Mellos are cool đ
đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đčđčđčđčđčđč
Great performance! Great show! Did I really hear people booing this?
It was probably people saying âblueâ to cheer for them
You heard Bloo's. I promise you (I was there), it was Bloo's
Yeah, they were saying "Bloo." I couldn't help but join in when I saw them live in Glassboro. My teen daughter has a crush on this kid!
They're not booing, they're blooing.
always wanted to say that
Can we flip this?
I'm more surprised to see the camera operator using autofocus lenses!!
Was this his last year
i dont think so
Looks like it, he has not updated any of his socials with 23â or 24â
Blue Devils would never stoop this low
Yes they would rather make a forgettable show than have a show that is unique and boundary pushing and has the performers love the music so much that they put emotion and energy into their performance
Thats what passes for rocking out? He should have just went up there and played hot cross buns
I love DCI so much. I love synthesizers so much.
I hate this so very much. đ
Ok. *Proceeds to groove to brass synth power jams*
What's your problem with it? Something about how it's not in the spirit of DCI? Or are you a traditionalist that believes that marching band can only be brass and drums.
@@Gcnico My first problem is that it sounds like shit. My second is that yes, corps are supposed to be able to whip out their horns and drums in a random parking lot and tear off heads instead of being contingent upon a good extension cord. That is the tradition, but my beef is not a tradition thing, it's more of a getting what I came here for thing. I didn't come to DCI every year since the early 80s for a bunch of precious WGI bullshit that wasn't designed for a football field, just because directors can't come up with innovative ideas anymore. I came to have the impact of an impeccable percussion section and The Razor's Edge of a hungry brass line tearing my head off. I didn't come to have a $10,000 marimba assault me through a $500 PA while simultaneously making the brass sound about 3 in tall.
@@RobertWrightOneManCoverswomp womp
@@Stag_Z Witty retort from the mental invalid. How useful.
why is his face like that
screw Blue Coats. Go Blue Stars!
This is just sad and should never be aloud in dci.
Wiener
Thatâs what Iâve been saying!
@@ryandavidjacobs Hello keytar man
@@ryandavidjacobs its funny because someone is totally going to miss the name and agree with your comment, I love this
@@ryandavidjacobs right on Ryan! We need to live in the past đđđ€Ł
Do not like
1:25 they're having the time of their life
The looks on their faces at 1:25 show that they couldn't care less about your opinion.
@@squillz8310 without hat, brass section must have a strong showmanship and smile to audience/judge now..
@@apulpd well of course, but it'd be ignorant to think they aren't showing how they really feel. Especially if they're leaving it all out on the field for that final performance.
I like 1984 blue devils better
Unpopular opinion, I dont like keytar in dci.
