The show that started my obsession.

They need to work on two things: Music Composition and Visual Composition. Great performers, but the layout of the field and the music setup for said impacts leaves a lot to be desired.

I played this as a ballad in my high school show senior year. It was a unique song with so much potential for unique things and I was definitely surprised by the tempo and feel changes, which I especially wasn’t expecting from a DCI version.

DCI clearly went out of their way to not interview any BD members / cut out anyone who mentioned a BD show. It’s never been more obvious that DCI is rigged against BD. On the plus side, though, that actually makes all of BD’s winning that much more impressive when you think about it. When they win (which is often), they are doing so despite systemic hatred and oppression from DCI. Because of that, I believe all of BD’s wins should count double.

This should've been Cross back in finals. Knights was not it this year.

I have to cast my vote for Colts. (My oldest son marched that year.) Not quite on topic, but 2011 Colts, "The Swan" was one of the most beautiful pieces on the field that year, finalist and non-finalist alike.

what happened to dci? this vs 2012 is basically unrecognizable, kind of sad. crossmen used to be about entertainment, now they like everyone else just wants to be Blue Devil's so they can please the judges. smh

1975/1976 Royal knights color guard here. What I don't like so much or when they drag big old stages around on the field. Just distracting and clunky. I also don't like that we don't get the eye candy we did in the '70s. Back then, a perfectly executed company front and a patriotic number would bring tears to my eyes.

The 1977 Blue Devils should be 5th on this list with a 1.750 point margin of victory. 1999 should not be included since SCV and BD tied for first place.
