    I definitely prefer doing deadlifts with this bar than the traditional barbell .

    Simple and great video. I just started doing these and love the exercise. A lot less back pain.

    Definitely better for me due to arthritis in my lower back. I can do barbell, but have to use plates to make it easier on my back.

    I think it's harder to hold the trap bar because with the barbell you can use alternate grip. It is less stress on the back but more stress on the forearms.

    I love hex bar deadlifts. Doesn’t mess my hands up as much as a normal bar but still gives me a good workout.

      Just slim down my guy. Or build up your other muscles that are worked out in the exercise to complete it more comfortably.

      Always look to the ceiling. I had trouble when I first started keeping a straight back, but when I was told to keep looking up it honestly helped.

      He’s got other form problems as well. The internet… every ignoramus thinks eh can be an influencer…. No knowledge or experience required.

      @nb0616 Před 23 dny

      Do you mean how he's positioning his thumbs and how he's using his fingers to hold the bar?
      Forgive my ignorance, I'm a boxer, not a lifter of any sort. I'm getting on in age... your legs are the first to go. My boxing trainer recommends these trap bar deadlifts... but he's not an expert on form either. I have avoided deadlifts my entire career due to risk of back injury.

    • @Droppinthehammer
      @Droppinthehammer Před 23 dny

      @@nb0616 There's a lot less risk of back injury using this trap bar. He's lifting light weight here, so just using your fingers to lift it is fine I guess. Once you start putting real weight on the bar, you need to use the hook grip or conventional grip.

    What is the purpose of this movement? I don't see it as beneficial to any work out to much of happening for it to be a hypertrophy movement

    • @alialzaidi4837
      @alialzaidi4837 Před rokem +18

      Some people, including myself, get a nerve pinch/lower back pain when preforming regular deadlift. This movement is significantly safer and yields the closest possible result

    • @jeovanniperez3949
      @jeovanniperez3949 Před rokem +3

      Trap bar deadlifts are safer for when doing conventional deadlifts as it puts you in a natural position so it is beneficial ,deadlifts are ment for strength gains

    • @cloudlink2542
      @cloudlink2542 Před 10 měsíci +6

      Better for strength, muscle balance, and athletics. Not much for hypertrophy.

      Yeah illiterate people can comment on the internet lol
