You will need to swap motor wires from the ESC to keep the direction of the vehicle matched to your transmitter (the portals will reverse rotation). The shock mounts can be adjusted to a more forward location to keep the shocks as vertical as possible for a better crawling experience as well.

Ya u flipped the extended shock mounts and directed them the other way and it worked better? Anyone else notice that with the links in the front axle that make the one side stiffer than the other?

The axles shown in the video are the First generation portals for the Gen 7, the Generation 2 will look slightly different (Captured Shock mount on the axle housing) but installation is identical.

Alright so I just got a gen7 pro. Installed the portal axles just as I saw here. But I'm having issues with the front right suspension not being able to articulate due to the left front outer trailing arm. It seems to bind under the least amount of flex. Any suggestions or pointers?

I'm installing these portals as we speak. I have the rear shock mounts installed just as shown on my Gen7 pro but the angle the shocks screw into the mounts takes away tons of flex. Any idea on this ?

Hey I have a problem I hook up a Traxxas esc xl5 to the redcat receiver now the esc blinking green and the truck won’t move also receiver showing it connect to the controller
