Thanks for taking the time to make a video of how to take this stove apart. It saved me a lot of time when I had to change out the spark ignition switch unit.
How about just replacing the electrode? The white porcelain with the copper top that provides the spark. Can they be replaced by themselves? The whole assembly is approx $95. I would need 5, so the math says to buy a new stove.
Thanks the company site had no video on how to replace door switch FYI replace all screws with stainless steel to avoid rusting even when Stove is Brand Before the first Dinner you'll thank me later avoiding Rusted and Rounded Heads and frozen Bolt need screw extractor Work !!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it really necessary to have the screws put back on or maybe just screw one back on, this is so unnecessary to even have to do all this just to pull the top up
Try connecting the working pins on the igniter to the center burner . And check the center burner working or not. I think that is the easy way to find the problem caused by wiring or igniter it self.
Thanks for the video. Did all your burners not ignite or just a few were down? I have the same model range but only the left back burner not igniting. Perhaps a burner back/base issue on mine. Thank you again.
I have kenmore elite stove. Right side burners have sparks and left side ,one have intermittent and one das not have sparks at all. What is the problem? Please advise
Your a life saver!...I could not figure out how to remove the top!!..THANKS SO MUCH!😁😁😁👍👍👍
I cleaned stove well. Then I lit burner with a match or stick and let run 10 min. Then burner worked.
thanks! You helped me open ours. Now I see my insulation was burning up--that explains the smoke!

@3:24 I'd say have a 5 mm ratchet too because 3/16 may not do the work well.
Thanks for the great video. Do you have a source for the little spring clips that hold the knobs in place?
get new knobs
Thanks....I was doing this same procedure...
Muy buen video, es de gran ayuda para mí
Gracias éxitos amigo!
Are the top one suppose to remove so easily? It’s because they look like they shouldn’t work (for mine) or is that how it’s suppose to be?
Yes it supposed to be easy, But they designed it very Complicated .
you did not really show how to replace the Ignitor?
How do you take the knobs off? I have the same stove and need to remove the top to replace an igniter. But I can't get the knobs off.
You should be able to pull it out, there is no set screws or anything .
@@geosgarageandharleyusa2950 Yep! Thank you! Got it!

My center burner and front right burner are not working. There are sounds clicking ,but no spark. What is the main reason caused by that?
Try connecting the working pins on the igniter to the center burner . And check the center burner working or not. I think that is the easy way to find the problem caused by wiring or igniter it self.
Hello Friend. What are the sizes of the screw drivers you use to remove the burners, and where can I buy the screws for replacement? Thank You
3/16 nut drivers or sockets. screws, I don’t see problem using any screws catch the thread.
What’s the other size of the inside screw that holds the igniter?

Thank you again.
Left side and the middle one was good. Both right side wasn’t working.
@@geosgarageandharleyusa2950 thank you.

Your wiring harness probably has a break in it somewhere or the knob is worn out and causing a bad connection
Falling asleep with this guys talking
So UNSAFE, also that piece is NOT the igniter its the spark module.
If it was unsafe then just dont do it???? It was useful to other people.
