  • 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch Package Detailed Winter Driving Test
    The 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands is one of the hottest off-road conversations right now. Having now logged some 2,000 kilometres of testing on Ontario’s major highways, and the trails and backroads surrounding Sudbury Ontario, further north, it’s quite apparent why. This early-January test drive hit us with every winter driving condition imaginable. In this video I'm sharing everything I learned about driving the 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch package in the snow.
    Here’s what I learned.

    Awesome review Justin, could you comment on Bronco badlands vs Bronco Sport in winter driving only compare? And why would you choose one over the other for winter.

    Awesome review! But what about the temperature inside the vehicle during the winter? I’m thinking about Bronco being able to resist to -40 in the Winnipeg winter…

      Hey there! Whelp, I never saw 40 below on my test, but at the coldest I drove it (25 below), it had no issue with heat once warmed up.
      The roof must leak a fair bit, but that's a hard-working V6 for heat--and plenty of it, in my experience.

    Yo the rear tailgate locks @ 90° and 120°… which is why it wouldn’t stay open when you cracked it open a little

    My biggest worry are the side windows getting frozen and stuck to the point that I can’t open the door without breaking the window. Did you have any issues with that?

  • @frankconsidine5989
    @frankconsidine5989 Před 2 lety

    Had one got rid of it. Hard top loud as hell even louder then my old soft top jeep. I was also having problems with the electrical system going crazy at times that would not let me use goat modes.

    So since this is a removable top does it get really cold in winter?

    • @JustinPritchard
      @JustinPritchard  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I didn't find an issue-- the cabin will probably cool faster when you exit it but the heater is more than powerful enough to overcome the heat loss thru the roof--- can confirm, no trouble keeping toasty!

    Although not an SUV, but my Gladiator Mojave fully loaded with just everything and added 1” front rear lift for an additional $2500 was still only $66k. No snow and ice build up, no electrical gremlins, no squeaky or leaky hardtop and you can buy one off the lot. Ford really took a step back in product quality. Sucks, these seem pretty cool.

    lol what kind of fool would pay 73 thousand for this vehicle.

    • @JustinPritchard
      @JustinPritchard  Před 2 lety +7

      Likely the thousands and thousands of people who have made deposits and pre-orders and are waiting for theirs to arrive, as a start.
      The demand is high, they can't build these fast enough.

      I paid $39,200... So, not sure where you got that number.

    I have had front wheel cars that go through a lot more snow than you are showing there, How about snow up to the top of the hood, Looks like the tires are to wide for any serious snow. My Austen American and my Le Car would bough do a lot more snow that what your are going through. Traction in snow and ice is weight per square inch, the skinner the tires the more weight per square inch, The Lada Niva is another great one for the snow, next to unstoppable even with snow over the hood. What you are showing there if that is all it will go through you can keep it, money down the drain, even my Subaru Forester will go through what you are showing and it is not half as good as my Lada Niva was. As it has tires to wide for the deep snow and ice, Got it stuck twice in only four years, was never able to get the Lada Niva stuck in the five years I had it and even would take it out in some of the worst snow storms Barrie Ontario and area has seen. Would like to see the Bronco with the smallest engine and some tall skinny tires, and then see what it would do. It is not Horse power that gets you through the snow. Even in my Le Car I bent the side mirror back getting through a drift and it just keep on going. Tall skinny tires and good ground clearance. Whish they still had the Lada Niva hear in Canada then you would have something to test the Bronco against. Would love to see a USA company make something along the lines of the Lada Niva with the same type of drive train. Full time all wheel drive, with high and low range, and be able to lock all four wheels up, and of course tall skinny tires and good ground clearance.

    They will certainly NOT sell every one they can make. I don't believe people are dumb enough to pay such ridiculously stupid prices

      And you're psychic, and independently wealthy because you can predict the winning PowerBall number too. So far, one year later, they've sold every one that has been produced and have a backlog of orders...so much for psychic predictions...

      He cant help it. Canada was even more invasive into peoples lives during Covid than America. Really busted down on their peoples rights there way worse than US
