  • The 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands is one of the hottest off-road conversations right now. Having now logged some 2,000 kilometres of testing on Ontario's major highways, and the trails and backroads surrounding Sudbury Ontario, further north, it's quite apparent why. This early-January test drive hit us with every winter driving condition imaginable, and here I'll share my key impressions from the experience.

There are a lot of people and companies with a vested interest in badmouthing the Bronco's for obvious reasons, its a threat to their income .

True. And a lot of Jeep fans feel threatened for some reason. Although, I've heard many say they are happy for the competition. They should be! It will improve both.

So many trying to complain about the back door. 1st off, no good can come from it freely swinging into things with the 50lb tire. 2ndly, who opens the door and stands back to watch it? Open, reach in or step in, get your stuff. Easy. Its not going to squish you!

Just discovered you, and as an owner of a '21 Badlands Bronco, I must say that this is a great review!
One thing I noticed in your review was that your windshield wipers appear to act like mine (unless you were stealthily operating the switch). That is, they seem to have a mind of their own, moving between different speeds and interval phases at will. I wasn't expecting an "automatic" mode like you can get on other upscale Ford vehicles, and I notice that mention of the wipers occupies various Bronco forums.

People in the north are complaining about the side windows freezing and not dropping the 1/2 inch every time you open the door. Putting strain on the power window mechanism, and the glass is coming out of adjustment.

For the price of the Ford Bronco (especially in its higher configurations) it should have the ambience, interior quality and quietness of a luxury off-roading SUV.

What about the automatic windows that roll down an inch to clear the roof. In cold weather I’m sure the window is froze.

Ive had mine 24 000kms and have been driving it hard on trails, mountain roads, rock crawl and snow. Its a great truck but you should get mud flap if you live in a northern climate.

is this a true 2022 ? notice the hvac controls had digital temp displays in them. I thought the 2022 didn't have the temp display anymore.

Ty for the review... @ :41 that's a ton of splatter all over the wires... not bad mouthing it cause it is a kool SUV specially if ya see it in real life but feels very rushed and unfinished... and for a vehicle geared towards off-road, with it's price point these types of things do disappointed ...

Everyone is comparing price and luxury. The thing is, unfortunately, that this is just the price point we are at. Even the luxury vehicles today are more expensive than they were. Check out the Range Rover. That should check all the legitimate luxury concerns in an off road vehicle. $$$

Cracked windshield! I as well wouldn’t want to pay over 70k for all that roof noise

Canada has lost its freedoms. They don't really get a choice to wear or not to wear. Canada has gone c0mmunist.
