  • We take the new Ford Bronco and try to get stuck in a snow bank to see how the 4WD systems perform. The new Bronco is Ford's answer to the Jeep Wrangler, but is it really better to live with every day?

    Ground clearance and good tires are key here in Canada. Thats why all my vehicle's as a small lift and a bit bigger tires.

    Can always trust you guys to give the best real world reviews.... And also that rear door, if that was mud or dirt, and not snow, the paint world be missing before too long. So I would put a little door edge strip on the edge of the door to protect the paint from scraping at the fender

    Would also add the window and door design. Once there’s some ice on the door windows. That’s going to be hard on the window seals trying to open the doors when the window can’t move down a little bit for seal clearance.

    It would be nice to see which 4x4 is the best but all need the same tire.

  • @Peppermint1
    @Peppermint1 Před 2 lety +5

    You just cannot get going from a stop, on an incline, and in such deep snow without really deep and spaced tire blocks. Look at the front wheels: they are already against a "wall" of snow. So that was a very hard test for any 4x4 out there without a really aggressive tire. Good thing mentioning the actual temperature. There are several types of snow, some are much more slippery than others and it much depends on the temperature. Around the freezing point is about the worst traction because the snow gets wet and slippery.

    I'd rather have the 2 door base model, problem is you can't get the auto 4WD option in the base model, you'd think the base model would come with that and the offroad models would have the part time only 4WD system seems how they're supposedly more offroad worthy, most trucks don't offer the auto 4wd in their offroad trims either I don't think

    I would have to get a two door since these four door versions are so damn ugly. Seeing that door scrape on the fender flare reminded me of the windows that go down a touch to get the door open. Not sure if the Bronco has these, but they will freeze in the winter and you can't get the door open or the window regulator breaks when it tries to put the window down and it can't move. I would like to see you throw a set of chains on one of these and see if you can find anything that will stop it. I have driven a two wheel drive truck through two feet of snow with chains on it.

Chew through what snow, that is not deep snow, put some skinny tall tires on and should help a lot,
