  • This is the first episode in our Talaria Sting Vs. Series - A series where we test different offroad bikes against our modded Talaria to see how they compare!
    In today’s video we test the Talaria vs a 140cc race PITBIKE to see what is more fun, faster and better value.
    We complete a top speed test with a dragy gps box, drag race and off road capability test!
    The PITBIKE in this video is a tuned WPB 140cc PITBIKE on a crf110 sized frame, the bike is supposedly running 17hp and cost a total of £1300 to build.
    The Talaria is running 11kw of power on a 60v battery and cost £11,000 to build.
    Stay tuned til the end to hear our verdict and thoughts on the two bikes.

      Thanks for watching!! 🤣🤣🤣 i haven’t said that since I was 10, i have no idea why it came out! Probably because I turn into a child when I jump onto a bike 🤙🏻🤣

      @@stingyrogerr That is exactly what my 10 year old would say when she was a toddler! Truly brought a smile to my face 🤘

    Talaria have issued updated oil change parameters for both the MX3 & MX4, the break in change is the same but once that's out of the way you only have to change it every 5000km and you only need to put between 70-90ml of oil in instead of the 150ml they previously stated. When they released the bike they over compensated to be safe but now after a years worth of data and testing and not one failure of the gearbox they've updated the instructions. Hope this helps as it certainly put a smile on my face.

      Ah! That sounds great, I was about to change mine this weekend! Saves me a job now, also means that the 1L bottles of oil you can buy go a heck of a long way for a talaria, I expect hardly any owners will do 5000km per year!
      Thanks for the tip man!

      I forgot to mention they do say to check the dipstick after 3000km and add a drop if it's not visible on the dipstick.

      @@jamessmith8155 i suspect if you are running extra power like me then probably safe to check it every 1000km just incase, a bit like servicing a modified car?
      Sounds good, ill take a look at the dipstick! 🙌🏻

      @@stingyrogerr Good catch, I wasn't thinking about modified bikes, yeah it would do no harm to check every 1000 or 1500km to see if yo need to top up and then maybe change it at 3000km and see how it looks. They were definitely playing it super safe with the initial guidelines.

    Interesting too see top speed it around 60 ? I got 69 GPS out of the same battery and Bac 4000 controller on 11500 watts

      Hey Ben! Thanks for watching! That really is interesting - I do have a MASSIVE rear tyre & the knobbliest front tyre you can get along with a 48t sprocket instead of 44t it comes with which doesnt help!
      My rear tyre is 100-90-19 so if i go up a bit to 11500 watts with a smaller tyre i probably could edge another 5mph out so 66mph, to get 69 I think id have to go back to the 44t sprocket!
      Are you on surron or talaria as talaria is a fair bit heavier! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

      @@stingyrogerr I figured since it said 140 on the numbers but that would make my ktm a 284 cc when it's a 250 haha. My kid has a surron but debating on getting myself a talaria to mob w him.

      I have a surron and talaria both feature on my channel and they’re such good fun! You should definitely get one you’ll have a blast with your kid and make great memories- some of my favourite times are riding with my brother on the ebikes!
      The talaria is better for taller and heavier guys than the surron out the box 👍🏻 thanks for watching bro! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

    it would be more fair if u compared a pitbike that had expensive upgrades like that talaria, would be more fair if it was stock battery

    • @stingyrogerr
      @stingyrogerr  Před rokem +3

      Hi man! Thanks for watching, thats a good point!
      We just thought it would be interesting like we said at the start of the video to see if an upgraded talaria could replace the other bikes you might also have and become the only bike you need. The pitbike has over £600 in upgrades (which for a pitbike is more or less every performance upgrade other than forks as theres none the right size!)
      For example can it replace your pitbike, your mx bike, your downhill mountain bike and do all of these things better?
      It is mainly just a bit of fun and we had so much fun making it!
      i hope you enjoyed watching it bro! 🤙🏻😎

    • @Danielxperez14
      @Danielxperez14 Před rokem

      @@stingyrogerr yea, but 600$ in upgrades isnt much, an exhaust, big bore, are more than 1k, getting some better valves or clutch too, the talaria was upgraded in almost every aspect, and the pitbike wasnt, i dont believe it was a fair comparison but the videos are entertaining and i enjoy them regardless, keep it up man!
