I put the peanuts in the pan and let them fully get coated and when I poured it in the baking dish it spreads alot easier. 🙂

Made this today, was so good, it reminds me of a payday candy bar. It didn't get hard. I think It needed to cook it a little longer. But it still turned out good I'll try again.

Awww...I see. It's a soft type. Not true brittle. Didn't think it would without a real sweetener or sugar more like the soft milk brittle. Nice alternative and won't break your teeth.

I made this exactly mimicking the recipe. it tastes delicious but after a full hour of sitting it still had not hardened. My syrup looked exactly like the video when I poured it but the result was a slightly grainy and buttery consistency. I used Swereve granular sugar substitute. What did I do wrong?
Swerve is mostly erythritol which melts when hot but recrystallizes when cool. You didn’t do anything wrong; it’s extremely difficult to make good hard keto candy.

Thought this was a good softer peanut brittle. A little too grainy and sweet for my taste though. Wondering if I cooked too fast or slow. Or if a powdered sweetener would even work. Guessing it wouldn’t be grainy…

Just so you know, this recipe does not work with sucralose...took me 2 cups of peanut to figure that out...learned something new today, Miss Sammy...should have used your sweetener.

How much butter? My butter comes in 1/2 cup (8 tbsp). Looks like you have more than that in your pan. Please clarify.
I ended up using 1/2 a cup of butter. It worked for me.

I tried this and it's grainy but I brought the sugar to a boil. It shouldn't be grainy.

@@JT-wo7mh It may not get hard like traditional brittle, made with real sugar, and corn syrup. You can try cooking the sugar mixture longer until you reach what is called the hard-crack stage of 300 degrees. That will make it hard once it cools, but, when making traditional brittle, at the end, baking soda is added so it's not so hard, and gives it a chewable lighter airier texture. However, using that much butter and a sugar substitute, I'm not sure how it will behave going to 300 degrees. Most likely will taste like burnt butter. I haven't made this recipe, but I make traditional brittle. You may want to watch some traditional brittle making videos, and then experiment.

Try this with two different sweeteners and neither one of them end it like yours follow the recipe to a T except I used pecans

I just made this and my peanut brittle is still soft after 2 hours . It's currently in the freezer to see if I can salvage my peanut brittle. What could possibly have cause this? I done everything exactly on your video.
Which sweetener did you use? If no Erythritol in it, it will not harden... ❤️
It’s under cooked and is fixable. Temps must reach around 204 degrees...👍🏼
Mine turned out very crumbly. Not a crispy brittle texture.
Maybe over cooked butter ?
