This is what happens when you give government the power to shut everything down in attempt to stop Corona which is impossible. You sacrifice the livelihoods of most Americans for a extremely small minority of people who get a stomach ache.
My dad died Christmas Day 2020. I came home and said Merry Christmas Daddy.. and he was just laying there stiff as a board. I took care of him for 5 years after he came home too his wife laying in the bed dead the same way. The day before Christmas we had got into an argument over rent. I explained to him that my unemployment benefit was up as of December 16. That things would be kinda tight. So he stressed heavily about rent and Christmas. I told him it would be ok because stimulus money would be coming. It’s February and I’ve barried him with no help. Thank god he was a military vet. The plot was free but still had to pay 6000 the for funneral. And even till this day no help from the stimulus or unemployment. Bills steadily coming in. And eviction in FULL effect.

If it’s based on you 2019 taxes and you used to make 50 plus and now you lost your job last year , you don’t get the $1400 ?
They aren't basing it on 2019, I have to claim recovery rebate and lose a dependent who I would have gotten a check for in 2019. I think they purposely didn't issue my 2nd stimulus just so they could use 2020 information and cut off my dependent. If you file 2020 taxes before they send the stimulus you might be ok.
I read on CNN's website that you should file your 2020 taxes before they pass the stimulus so they can update your information in the system and issue you the right amount whenever they do pass it
