I made your recipe except I used pure vanilla extract instead of the vanilla sugar -- turned out delicious. Thank you.

I see comments saying this is not how to make natillas! I don’t understand cause this is exactly how to make natillas!! only thing I do differently is leave in the egg white with the eggs and I whip up some egg whites to top it with!..but that’s a personal choice!!!

we can substitute vanilla sugar instead of adding castor sugar in preparing natillas because in India, it is not available

You need to whip the egg whites and sugar at the end and mix into it at the end

We don't use egg whites, only egg yolks...
"In Spain, natillas is a custard dish typically made with milk, sugar, vanilla, eggs, and cinnamon. The dish is prepared by gently boiling the milk and slowly stirring in the eggs (often just the yolks) and other ingredients to create a sweet custard."

Isaac, please, read again the title of the video. This is the Spanish version, from Spain, not the "New Mexican version". Natillas are yellow here in Spain.

Dude. Show some respect to the Spanish who started this recipe. How would you feel if you created a product, and some guy who copied it walks up to you declares, "This is definitely not the right way to do it"? Think about that for a moment.
