Cinnamon and sugar? You’re right. “Life doesn’t get better than this.”
lol....Much love :)
My Spanish gran used to make these for us. Thank you so much for the recipe. I‘ll attempt to make them as tasty as my abuela.
Sounds great! Much love :)
My mother used to make torrijas at Easter but I've never heard of this variation! Looks delicious! 😋 ❤
Much love :)
Yes! This is the best cinnamon toasts anyone will ever eat. My grandma used to make these, and the whole loaf of bread would be gone in under 5 minutes shared between 3 people 😆
Much love :)
"Grandma's croutons" Love it!
Much love :)
It’s interesting that apparently cinnamon toasts go way back in Spain. I discovered they were mentioned in Juan Altamiras’ 1745 New Art of Cookery, a Spanish Friar’s Notebook translated into English by Vicky Hayward. What a wonderful Easter tradition for me to try, especially since your version of the recipe makes it so easy and something that I can make for one serving by just cutting down on the amounts. Thanks, Albert! Happy Easter to you and your family, I plan to make this for my Easter breakfast! 🥰💕❤️👍👍
Much love :)
Muchas gracias! I will be making picatostes de la abuela for my family this weekend.

Glad you have sponsors of high quality! Being one person, I think I will skip the 50 servings paella pan! LOL. I do want to make this wonderful recipe. There is a great bakery here in town, so I will get there to buy some baguettes. They are so wonderful that they are testing a bread recipe I had a problem with, and will report on how to correct the issue! I am blown away by the level of care they give customers! Many Holy Week Blessings to you and the family.
Much love :)

My grandfather came from England, and he used to eat regular toast with butter, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. I guess nowadays we'd use Splenda (!)
Wow! ❤👍
Much love :)
When you say “condensed milk”, is that evaporated milk, or sweetened condensed milk? Thanks for a lovely recipe!
Yes he means the sweet one. You can’t buy un-sweetened condensed milk 😊
@@selenacordeiro1458 “Condensed” and “evaporated” can be used interchangeably. That’s why sweetened condensed milk is called sweetened condensed milk.
Evaporated milk is always without sugar and condensed is always with sugar.
@@mirandamom1346 no, condensed milk and sweetened condensed milk are the exact same things… it has the sweetener added, evaporated milk does not. It’s just straight up evaporated milk… there’s a big flavour difference and can’t be substituted for each other. I’ve been a baker for 15 years 🤷♀️ Maybe on your continent it’s like that but on the entire American continent it’s not like that… if you don’t believe me just by both and taste them, they’re cheap enough to experiment.
@@selenacordeiro1458 Both evaporation and condensation involve removing water from a product, leaving behind a higher concentration of solids. You can add sugar to that, in which case it is sweetened.
Wow, looks delicious and simple! Could I even use avocado oil in place of sunflower oil?
Yes, absolutely! Much love :)
Tomorrow's recipe: Boiled Peas!
❤❤

Is there a way to prevent the cake from bulging up in the center?

Life doesn't get better than this. 🤩😍 What do you think about my spanish potato recipe that i just uploaded?
Watching this guy's recipes, I can see why Spaniards have such a high rate of diabetes.
Make something with red meat and eat it in a video
Why?
La Tienda is a ripoff !!!
Similar to Cuban cinnamon & sugar scrambled eggs served with grill/toasted cubano…
Sounds great! Much love :)
Why is it that you have to ruin something so good with eggs? Seriously! So much Spanish food has eggs in it. Nasty.
Then you leave them out and do it your way. Simple!
