I don't see why not.

Be vegan or else ur an animal abuser
@@jovanisanchez3590 exactly lol
Kim I always see you watching the same videos I’m watching lol 😂 we’re real life bffs 👯♀️ can’t wait to see the video on French toast!
Fun fact : I’m french and in France, we call this ”pain perdu” ( in french ) and the exactly translation for this would be ”lost bread” ^^
Yes so true ahah
it would actually mean lost bread if you arrange it in the correct way but i do agree about the meaning !
@Lahdhiri Anas and @nobody
Sorry I’m not really good at English but thank you for correction me
In Canada we call it pain doré in Québec
yeap yeap. I have an old baguette from this morning, and I'm definitely making pain perdu tomorrow with it!
My mom used to cook a breakfast for me, bread soaked in eggs, and fried. She called it "Frash ki roti"....20years later, at the age of 23 I find out that that each dish is the French toast and that she just called it by it's name in Hindi.
Oh..
My mom used to make this but she simply soaked the bread in a mixture of eggs and milk and a bit of honey. I didn't exactly love the honey flavour but it was great. We called it pan-fried egg bread in chinese. Didn't know it was considered a french toast lol.
Same thing we used to call the Bombay toast😂
Is it cooked with just egg and not custard in India?
@@Areyoussors yeah, it's egg, a bit of milk and sugar. That's it. Does adding custard like make it creamier?
The effort of cinematography these guys shows to show the cons and pros of the recipe is amazing

Recipe:
6 large eggs
¾ cup whole milk (180 mL)
¾ cup heavy cream (180 mL)
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste, or extract
1 loaf challah bread
unsalted butter, or ghee, for greasing
Additions for serving:
softened butter
pure maple syrup, warmed
flaky sea salt
fresh berry
Instructions:
- Preheat a nonstick electric griddle to 300°F (150°C). (Alternatively, heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.)
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined. Add the milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla bean paste and whisk until completely combined.
- Working in batches, dip each slice of challah in the custard, letting soak for 20-60 seconds on each side, until fully saturated but not soggy.
- Lightly grease the griddle with butter. Once melted, add the soaked challah on the griddle and cook, without disturbing, until golden brown and crispy, about 2 minutes. Use a flat spatula to flip the bread and continue cooking until the other side is golden brown, 2 minutes more. Wipe the pan clean between batches and add more butter as needed.
Serve the French toast with a pat of butter, a drizzle of warm maple syrup, a sprinkle of flaky salt, and berries.
Enjoy!
Thx
Thx 😊
Hey, I would like to say it is indeed recipe 101 for French toasts. I finally baked these toasts today and they came out perfectly fine. And I didn’t even use hala-bread, I used regular bread and it still came out perfectly. Even someone who didn’t like toasts before, ate them like it wasn’t made from bread but was made from other fine products. Keep on coming
I made this french toast this week and it was legit restaurant-level french toast. The challah bread was such a game changer, absolute *chef's kiss*
We want claire back. Her voice were just so amazing
Yes she was amazing
claire makes more, and is happier on her own. give these guys a chance, their pretty awesome

You people work sooooo hard to find a perfect recipe for us. Thankyou soo much. God bless you
A Weissman once said that "Challa bread probably makes the best french toast ever"
Hey Tasty, don't ever stop this series
It looks so yummy. I personally love sourdough bread for French toast though! Especially sourdough made with the modified sourdough starter that is made from potato flakes. It makes a slightly sweeter bread that is sturdy on the outside, but soft and fluffy on the inside. It is less sour as well. Smells amazing though!
I LOVE french toast. It's one of the few "fancy" meals I actually know how to make. I try to make it for my family when I can.
can i ask which type of toast do u use?
Not really fancy but I get you.
@@mfundimkhize3137 well, *I* would consider this fancy over buying it frozen in a box (which is what I usually do) 😂 but I’m going to try to actually make it.
I've made these several times. They are so delicious! Thank you so much for sharing.
Finally a recipe that opts for traditional method and presentation over all that inventive nonsense we see today. One element I would add is a fruit compote, my personal favorite being raspberry. It is a cooked down source of fruit tanginess that really brings balance to the dish. That and a cup of coffee is my perfect breakfast. If I was drinking the night before add a homemade sausage link to the mix! Great video guys.
*The sound from my stomach is louder than the asmr sound lol* 🖤💗
Growing up my family deep fried french toast and for me, that is the absolute best way to make it. For some reason most people make it the way you all suggest. I just love the crust from deep frying it!
Let me guess, you’re American?
Ah, good old 'Murica
Mmm yum! Thank you for this wonderful recipe ❤️
Will make it tomorrow for breakfast!
Wow, Its really unique in every country. I love them all!
They look so perfect! 😊😊
I like how they take simple dishes and make it perfect😄
This cafe by my house used to have challa bread french toast and it's hands down THE BEST EVERR. They got new owners during the pandemic and don't have it anymore and I wanted to cry when I found out
French toast and honey is simple and amazing! Great video.

swapping challah bread for italian panettone or the milk with eggnog is also a very nice twist i can only recommend. my husband loves it!
The French toast 😋 looks absolutely delicious 😋 😍.
That looks soo good!
Classic Dessert for breakfast
Just what I need
It literally brought water in my mouth...uhh soo delicious lookin😋
I still cannot understand why anybody dislikes this type of good videos.
I work in a bank and occasionally make food for all of us to share. This is the perfect idea for the next time I cook for everyone. Thanks Tasty!
Ty for your channel and getting right to the point (and not shouting at me).
I actually allow my bread to soak up the custard overnight & it turns out amazing. To help the bread from falling apart I also take the stale bread & refrigerate it the day before. It helps to stiffen it up some before the overnight custard bath. An its yet to fall apart on me & is never raw in the middle
I should make French toast this weekend morning
I bet you loved all those taste tests 😆 Thanks for the tips!!
This recipe video is making us hungry. Can't wait to give it a try!
Where's the recipe?? I tried looking on the website and the written recipe wasn't there! I wish they'd link to the individual recipes in their videos instead of just having all of them link to the main website. :(
Wow wonderful
You gave me inspiration to start a cooking channel thanks
Love this toast 💝
My grandma always had a spice jar filled with a cinnamon and sugar mixture. We sprinkled it on top of French toast. So good!!
Why did I read it as spider jar😂😫

Looks delicious
The BEST breakfast item. Or whenever lol
I was drooling the whole video
I love french toast! The only meal that my family unanimously agrees is delicious is American breakfast. I'll have to use these tips next time I make french toast on my griddle.
Usually when I make french toast its nasty hope I can make some bomb french toast with this recipe
This was great. A little pancake place in our area is called, wait for it " The Pancake House" Yup not original but they make great breakfast meals. The reason I mention this is every December they make a holiday French toast using Eggnog. Absolutely divine. I really need to convince them to give me the recipe because I want it more than just December. And it's fun to experiment with what you pour on the toast,go crazy. Like a little Kahlua or Amaretto. Hmmm.😋👍
Great video, I love the attention to detail and the thought that went into it.
Amazing 🤩
Great tips 👏🏻
Why do you make this comrade hungry in the middle of the day, Tasty?

Can you specify the amount of vanilla and cinnamon you add?
Thank You
Good dessert!
I'd love to know every measurements of this recipe!
Yummy
I can’t find this recipe on the website or in the link. Someone please help!
Your not the only one. You need to buy the receipt from them.
No matter what I do my French toast comes out eggy and or soggy. So I’m doing my research and this video helped me the most.I’m gonna have to bounce around breads.
I’ve tried high heat low heat medium heat, more eggs, less eggs etc… never thought it might be the bread
Same here. Did u ever figure it out? I think in another video a chef said to use stale bread or to dry it out b4 soaking, he also mentioned we could bake it at 200 degrees for 10 mins before adding the batter.
Love these videos! Miss Alexis’ voice tho!
Katie's right about the pronunciation but as long as it's pure maple syrup who cares. My favorite is pure maple spread. If you haven't tried it do so. It's a game changer. I've had it in pumpkin latte too. It brings peanut butter on pancakes to the next level. Even eggs and pancakes if you like your eggs on top or in the middle of the pancakes 🥞 😉 😋
Tried it, they’re right. Preheeaaaaaaat
I really enjoyed the video. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☺️
It doesn't matter if you're a pancake or a waffle person. EVERYONE loves French toast 😋
Tasty french toastes👍
Still nothing can compete with my dad's french toast.
Anyone else used to get those frozen French toast sticks at your local supermarket? 😆🤤
Haven't tried French toast yet in my life and now I will
My friends dad makes the best French toast! Once, I tried to make it, and it turned out really soggy and I think it was raw haha
Good I have a new idea for what I'm gonna eat for breakfast lunch and dinner for the next month or two
