By the River Dee on the Inverey/Braemar road to look at the remains of the ancient Gallows tree of Clan Farquharson.

Another important piece of local history neglected by the landowner. The tree should be better supported before it falls again and breaks totally. The Victorian bridge had to wait until it was crumbling into the Dee before they recently took action.

I was told that if the tree fell down it would be the end of the clan, hence why it is kept up with wires..
