- The annual visit to the Clan Farquharson Cairn of remembrance (Carn na Cuimhne) along the bank of the River Dee at Invercauld, Deeside, Scotland. Pipers lead the Clan and the Chieftain, Captain Alwyne A. C. Farquharson MC of Invercauld, gives a speech about the history and significance of the Cairn. Pipers then play 'Flowers of the Forest' before new stones are placed on the Cairn to remember those clan members who have died since the last visit.
I am an American Bremner , he came from Clan Farquensin. He is the sweetest person I ever knew 💗. GOD BLESS Clan Farquensin ❤

I mean he came from you. He was the sweetest man
I love the Bremner, and the farquharson you will be in my heart ❤ always ♥
I’m a Bremner from Edinburgh, we visit this part of Scotland every few years but didn’t know about the cairn. I will make a point of stopping next time to remember family now past. Fide Et Fortitudine
Hope to visit from the USA after this pandemic with my children. Proud to be part of the Farquharson clan.
I'm a Findley and I've traced my family tree back to this clan. It's really cool to see where my ancestors came from.
Fun fact: Macbeth, the guy known mostly from a certain play, was a Farquharson, and because he was usurped, they banned the surname "MacFindlaech" and it's variations, meaning that your surname and mine, slightly different from yours, was outlawed. So it could've been clan Findlaech or clan Fionlagh.
I am a direct dependent of the Finley clan, related to Findlay and decended from the Fraquharson. I wish so much I could move to Scotland and live in the land of my ancestors. Sadly it not that easy in today's world.
Oh my another Findley with the d great 👍 ❤
Proud to be part of this clan
My sons and my daughter have never been there. I haven't either. It looks so beautiful. It is hard to live continents and generations away, teach your kids about our family, clan and values, and never go there. Good for everyone who does go to our home. Considering we're Farquharsons and all that, we should at least be able to steal a horse from Alwyn.
Beautiful
Another lovely video at our Cairn! I'm glad to see that our Chief looks well. When did they erect that nice little fence?
Hi Emily, it looked quite new and it was nice to see it looking so much better than last year after the floods. Yes, the Chief was in good health and still walked all the way there and back.
R.I.P. Alwyne Farquharson.
