  • The Cairn na Chuimhne (Cairn of remembrance) for the Farquharson Clan of Invercauld, near Braemar, Scotland. This aerial view shows the location with Balmoral Castle nearby and damage caused by storm Frank in early 2016, which flooded the Cairn.

Thanks for this, My wife and I are raising two boys out in California...lol girl coming soon we hope. The boys are becoming interested in the name we have. We'll never get to go back. It's rare. I'm happy that's it's not all campfire stories.

Thank you for watching and I'm glad I could share some of the historic places and the culture. I was asked to film the Clan Chief at the Cairn this year and I'm glad I caught him (at 97 yrs old now I think) explaining the history in person. That film is also on CZcams under the 2016 Farquharson Cairn of remembrance visit.

My last name is Bowman, searching the lineage, I'm always lead to this clan. Not sure if maybe my ancestry?

Who is buried there? Can anyone go there? Can you add to the Cairn? What exactly is a Cairn? What is the history of this Cairn? 60 year old woman here, am a Farquharson through my fathers mother who was a Lyon before she married.

Yea I'm new to drone flying, really enjoying it tho. I've been looking at courses to put myself through but probably won't be able to until next year now.

Hi, welcome to the aerial world. I've long been a photographer, but I only started with drones at the beginning of this year, but mainly use it to help film for local projects. Watch out for the cold around here, it saps batteries really fast!
