I think the question boils down to two things: your budget and your movement frequency.
If you move around or travel a lot. Or you stay at home and have a lower side budget. Then the laptop is your choice.
If you have a better budget and stay at home often, then a desktop is your best option.

I really miss having a desktop. This is the type of upgradable and affordable desktop I was looking for. It’s hard to beat for the price and I’m sure it will go down several hundred in the next few months like its predecessor did.
I’ve been gaming on laptops for 16 years now and can’t wait to go back to a mighty desktop. I had a powerhouse desktop in the 90’s in my 20’s playing Mechwarrior games. The golden age!
I miss gpu power and loading up on excessive ram and maxing out my tower like a muscle car. This desktop is a great option.

i come from two experiences with gaming laptop "asus" and they both fried the motherboard. i suppose the cooling system simply can't handle the heart, and i now believe this applies to all laptops so from now on i will take only desktop, the Orion 3000 seems pretty decent but still affordable, i will probably go for this one....

Thank you for this amazing video. I have a question:
I want to buy Acer Predator Orion 3000 P03-640 Core i7-12700F, 32 Gb ram, Rtx 3070 8Gb just for video editing as I intend to make money off of it. How well would it fare against apps like After Effects, Premier Pro, etc.

For a starting point, it’ll do you fine! Ultimately you’ll be more concerned with storage in the near future more than anything else.

the only problem with a laptop is the fact that its so much harder to upgrade. put its easy with a desktop. even if its the same price

I think you shouldn't buy most oem pc's. Lenovo has some good ones and so does hp but the rest all have flaws
with acer it's the cooling the aio is to small and only the vrm has heatsinks. The m.2 and chipset aren't cooled
