  • I inherited several vintage cameras from my uncle, so I thought I’d try to draw one! Follow my drawing in real-time, and have a go yourself if you’d like. I also share lots of drawing tips and my thoughts on making drawing more fun by embracing your mistakes. I have never drawn anything like this before, so if I can do it, you can too!

Thanks Lesley, good on you for giving it a go already. Glad you enjoyed it, I would happily do more if there is demand for it. Will see how this one performs. Thanks again.

Happy thanksgiving to you too Alex. My sister’s husband is American so today I had my first ever thanksgiving dinner. Enjoy yours 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing this in real time! I watched the entire video and it really helped me to see your process unfold. I am super critical of myself and this has helped reinforce for me that it is OK for me to take however long it takes me and to accomplish whatever I am capable of at this stage; that I need to keep my patience with the process and, more importantly, with myself; to keep going forward regardless of where I am right now and not just scrap my effort and give up feeling that i will never be any good at all. BTW, nice camera; worth a bit a money there

That’s great to hear. It does take a lot of work to make real-time videos like this so it’s very appreciated to get such feedback. You definitely have the right way of thinking now, it can be slow and frustrating but personally I find it helpful to think of each drawing as another tiny part of my development rather than putting pressure on myself to get everything correct right away. Keep at it and enjoy the ride 🙂
