Jack is literally one of the best antagonists in video game history. It's hard to beat him.
Defeatless ok and?
Defeatless he means as a villain lol
Michael Does stuff
He talked about how Hard he is to kill
Rainer no he didn’t, he meant it’s hard to beat him as a villain in, not a enemy
Jacks the only antagonist I really liked. He was funny and I almost felt bad for killing his daughter. Almost
When Jack was talking to my character, he was talking to ME. He addressed you very personally, getting under your skin, makes you hate, even loathe, him. Needs a remaster with the new engine.
@@tomikaze777 tbh, I'd prefer that than bl3, as far as the core game, main story goes.
What about a remake?
A remake of bl2 with bl3 gameplay. That would be amazing
There is so much potential verticality in BL2, the newer engine would be awesome
'now i'm going to show you just how much you have to lose'.
god i love that quote.
To be honest, I never had any problem with replaying the game 3 or more times, because the story and the characters' charisma, especially Jack's, made it entertaining.
I have replayed the game many and many times already. More than a month in the game
If only BL3 story was the same, I literally had trouble playing through on a second character, whereas BL2 I farmed every char to op8.
And you're always getting better stuff to farm.
I’ve replayed It 18 times maxing every character in a dif skill tree
I had no problem with it either. in bl3 I’ve only maxed one character. Bl2 made it fun while bl3 made it feel like a slog and a chore
This game is one of the best games of the last decade
Mikey Gaming This game was a 9.8/10 for me, but op10 kind of ruined it, right now it’s like 9.5/10.
@@henryzhang9771 yeah, i didnt feel the last dlc at all, and i feel like they should have just left the game untouched. Tho ofc it was great seeing new content and it being free for a while
@@henryzhang9771 it’s a 9.85 for me
@@henryzhang9771 your bad at the game thats it
"I wanna be clear about something. This isn't about the vault key anymore this is about me and you.."
-Jack
The shift in tone after Angel dies is just perfect and really adds depth to his character.
Krieg was such a poetic character its amazing. On the surface psychos just seem so simple. A crazy person who's gone insane. Then you play krieg and he's arguably one of the most complex characters to build properly. You cant just put points anywhere and be successful with krieg, you have to plan where your points will go in order to be effective. That deep complexity to what on the surface seems like such simple characters always resonated with me.
Have you played the krieg dlc in bl3?
in the Presequel i loved some of the Origin stories around Handsome Jack. Espicially Felicity's. Seeing how Jack uses her more and more and her turning insane was absolutely terrifying.
Ye you start to see the evil in Jack and that’s one of the first signs/steps that lead him down this dark path of betrayal and hatred like how moxxi kills Helios’s eye/the destroyers eye and how jack gets the vault symbol lodged into his face and uses a mask to hide it he’s a historical villain in gaming I’ll tell my kids about
@@Sam-vd1pp true. I'd also say felicity, the helios eye and liliths betrayal were the three main trigger points for his transformation
Schmalik1999 Absolutely
Its almost like pre-sequel is the better game
@@chewee4ever811 almost, yeah.
Oh pleaseeeee. Slag wasn't just a crutch, it's literally the oxygen you need to breathe.
agreed. 3 and tps were way better becuase that shitty element wasn't in
Slag is a great addition to the game it makes it more interesting and use more strategy to kill
@@joshmatthews6845 it was pretty much the only strategy to kill things because its the only way to get past that stupid health regen
@@chewee4ever811 dude just don’t play op10 then? Play op7 or something slag isn’t needed for early op levels obviously if you’re playing on the hardest hardest difficulty it’s gonna be super difficultttt
100%, and using anyone other than Salvador is so annoying on UVHM
Your point on slag doesn’t quite seem right, switching to a weapon in order to deal for damage makes sense (fire on flesh), why slag doesn’t work, is you had to switch to 2 weapons in order to kill one enemy, sometimes more than once, because slag wears off. So rather than switching to fire for flesh, you switch to slag, then fire, and if the slag wears off, then back to slag and then to fire again.
Exactly this. Also, him using the word "crutch", when he should use "clutch" is...interesting.
@@ThorsShadow the use of crutch is correct. It is possible to beat the game without ever using slag, but it makes things easier. Thus a crutch.
It was almost as forced as the actual implementation of slag
@@raze_ except end game
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this.
I can still play borderlands 2 to this day!
And it still looks absolutely beautiful as well.
I do like 3 times a week
same I still do lots of speedrunning on it and spend at least 5hrs a week just having fun with friends or solo
I'd rather kill myself than play that shitty game
Dropped more than 1.5k hours into bl2 over the last 8 years and I still have no regrets. Still the best game I have ever played.
you wasted your time.
@@chewee4ever811 nah , time was perfectly spent
@@mud7078 any time spent playing BL2 is better spent doing something else
@@chewee4ever811 bro you okay? I think you need to play bl2.
@@youmessedup7758 I did and I wasted my time with that pile of shit
I'm so happy that borderlands the handsome edition was free for psplus, otherwise I maybe wouldn't have been subjected to this masterpiece of a game.
Yup that’s a bet
Jack was so good because he was such a believable villain. Throughout the entire game and series he wasn't some almighty god or some super overpowered evil he was just a narcissistic CEO. He always seemed within reach since every vault haunter could and does mop the floor with him but his power comes from his position being able to drop loaders and other assets on you. Everytime he speaks to you he manages to get under your skin because you know he's not shit but he thinks he's a god and your a bandit
When using Maya or Axel, one of the abilities in their trees allowed you to slag when using their abilities. Made it very easy to wipe out plenty of enemies... surprised no one talks about Maya's acid cloud... I could wipe out entire armies at chokepoints using that little ability.
The modding scene is now able to add new changes to the game. Which is great when you consider the games flaws
I been playing a mod called bl2reborn. And it's badass. So much better.
Krieg could get the Blood Euphoria skill and improve the Pull the Pin so it is like Wilhelm's Termination protocol skill(meaning grenade kill can revive you)
@@matthewlindsey5638 Yep, reborn and BL 2.5 are awesome. Wish I could find a way to get a standalone of Borderlands 2.5's skill trees and use them in Bl2 Reborn.
I actually really enjoyed TPS, the laser guns are fun to use, and nisha has interesting skills, along with the DLC VH’s
TPS>>>> borderlands 3
@@kronosleblu888 pfffft lol
Nisha with interesting skills? Isnt that basically flak? But shes got aimbot lmao i think if anything athena and claptrap has got unique skills
@@dino3965He is right though, the story in BL is fanfic tier
@@alexdorian336 i enjoyed the pre-sequel but it had no endgame, nothing to do but fight gojira, the sentinel and the end boss from the dlc
Fun fact about UVHM a lot of people miss: Gearbox put in a faster weapon swap speed in UVHM to compensate for the dependence on slag. I don’t think this makes up for the overwhelming dependence on slag(especially for certain characters), but it’s cool that they made it a bit more convenient for us.
uvhm never should've been implemented. glad it never came back in 3
@@chewee4ever811 nah it’s the only reason I sunk so many hours in the game not for everyone and it’s a choice not a necessity
@@chewee4ever811 dude mayhem 10 ever heard of itt?
The issue with slag was just how necessary it was to do damage at a high level, because of how beefy enemies were. It was pretty much impossible to use non-elemental weapons once you hit UVHM, which invalidated a whole manufacturer (although Jakobs is my favourite so I may be biased).
Also there really wasn't a variety of slag weapons. It was Grognozzle or Slagga and that's about it in terms of viability. Even then, Grog is the superior choice because of its slag chance and lifesteal. It really is a case of 'why would I use anything else?'
I think seeing PSQ and Bl3 without slag is testament to how much of a mistake it was.
@@Interrobang212 to be fair, those games have much better scaling.
@@Interrobang212 Yeah but those games are easier than bo2.
@@mariosmatzoros3553 they had to be made easier because the borderlands community didn't want a challenge,
Most of them where crying about slag when to me cryo is way worst
@@dollin971 Bl2's difficulty is not challenging, it's annoying. All you do in op8 uvhm is use a slag weapon which most likely is going to be the grog nozzle and then switch to another gun. Also the guns that people used in op8 were not a lot, it was basically the dpuh, sandhawk, the pimpernel, the norfleet, the interfacer, the lyuda and sometimes pearls like the Bekah.
10:08, you just derailed your own thoughts about Slag. It's not that we needed the element to kill enemies in UVHM. It's that we needed it ALL THE TIME to do any reasonable damage outside of a min-maxed build (especially in the OP levels).
This is the first game I actually played over and over and over and over and over again.
It's so weird that Jack has been both the blessing and curse of Borderlands even until today. I'll be honest, I loved Jack, his character, his twisted motives, his gloating, and the fact he does lose it after Angel.
And then Jack dies. And Gearbox seems to have this desperate need to pander to their rabid fanbase, by bringing him back but not quite. And again. And again. And we get really weird straw grasping like "Guys, Zane is actually Jack in disguise!!!" from the fanbase, where I'm just like. Let him die.
But look at those comments, and at mine even. We are all talking about Jack. I could be talking about how the legendaries system overall was much better in BL1 for me, and farming was cool at first but kinda ruined the fun in the long run. Or how the endgame in BL2 is completely overblown, with slag becoming a mandatory part of the normal gameplay... But yet here I am. Thinking about the weird insert of a Jack themed quest in 3, where you are supposed to learn about Angel but half of it is... once again... Jack talking. Okay.
Anyway Bunker farming for that juicy 94% is so much fun amirite guys?!
After 2500 hours in the game my only real complaint is the loot system. You could literally fight the same boss a hundred times and he would only drop that item you want one time
borderlands rng can be brutal despite how amazing everything else is
94 sham moment
@@Macndcheese more like any shame or any legendary. 20 bunker kills and only 1 sham and not even on a good one. In fact I looked it up I got the lowest percent sham you could possibly get. “But loot is more rewarding because of how rare good gear is” not when you get the worst variant of what you want after 20 attempts. Say what you want about bl3 but wether the gear I’m farming is good or bad at least I get it a lot faster. Maybe if I was still 16 and in high school again I’d be fine with it but I’m 27 years old I got shit to do and bl2 despite all of its ups is ultimately a game that does not value your time
@@nathanhendrickson790 i personally prefer that as opposed to having them handed out to you constantly it feels less earned than farming for it.
@@Macndcheese yeah that rolling thunder is really rewarding. What about that madhouse? Or maybe the gub? Oh how about that Logan’s gun? Maybe the cradle? Yeah your right there’s nothing like getting junk such as wtf or gunerang. Really gets the dopamine flowing huh?
i played borderlands 3 and i completely forgot all of it. cant remember many things about it.
borderlands 2 tho is one of those games that stayed engraved in my melancholy hard drive forever. every level every character er is amazing
Huh funny I can say the same about 2.
this right here is the best game ever made FOR ME! definitely made my childhood 100x better. im currently paying through BL3 and im loving it as much as I loved Borderlands 2 such a great series
Damn. Guess your parents didn’t love you if you think of BL2 that way
@@chewee4ever811 your parents definitely didnt love you if you think of opinions that way
this is the only game where I don't mind replaying the story over and over again it's weird cause usually I hate replaying campaigns
Borderlands Franchise will go down as one of my all time favorite games. This game is insanely fun and nostalgic with so many memorable moments and characters. AND ALL THE LOOT!!!!
In 2013, I stumbled upon this game by complete accident. I used to be a Halo fan, and what drew me in was the semi-low gravity jumps followed by slow falling and no fall damage. What kept me playing was the story overall, and to this day I am a big fan of the series.
Borderlands 2 is ten years old now, and my God, how I wish I could go back and experience it all for the first time again.
Op 10 voracious was so horrendous u basically can't kill him on solo u are required to bring 4 people in the battlefield
Well he is a raid boss
I have a total of 19 max level characters on borderlands 2 (4 on xbox 360, 6 on xbox one, 8 on pc and 1 on the switch), i love everyhthing about this game. It is the only game that I have more than 4000 hours on
Thing I hated most hearing from fellow BL2 Players "Why should I have to change weapons?!" Que me saying, "Why then, do we have 4 slots?"
@ 2:30 I never noticed that the lava makes a vault symbol on the side of the volcano
My preferred way to run BL2 is to get to the first Fast Travel station, start up the DLCs first missions(in the case of the Digistruct DLC, finish the first mission), order the missions in order of difficulty, and complete them in that order. So when I start hitting the level 16+ missions through the base game, I don’t get to them until I complete the level 15 missions in the various DLCs. By the time I get back to the base game, I am somewhat over leveled.
The sound design of this game has to be my absolute favourite thing about it. It's incredible.
The voice acting is great, but it's the music that makes Borderlands 2 so amazing for me.
Rocket and grenade jumping has been around since the beginning of 3D FPS games like Quake and Half-Life.
I love Slag. A great concept. It’s a pure RPG move. Think about. Debuffs always help
Amazing job with this!! Rare to see someone willing to talk critiques alongside the banger content.
Talk about passion... you can tell you have a passion for the game lol you can hear it in your voice.
Just started, idky... im always late to the party, but lookin forward to having some of that fun you mentioned.
BL3 dropped legendaries too often, BL2 dropped them too little. I use a loot mod to lightly increase the drop rate and it makes the game so much better
atleast in 3, the legendaries were actually good and their gimmicks worked
Borderlands 2 created one of the best things that I bring to every game. Challenge runs.
Bandit only was the last run I did and it makes the game so much better and much more replayable.
Gearbox should actually add play through modifiers to bl3 so you can have only certain gear drop. Like only cov for example.
one complaint i have about borderlands 2 is that a lot of the guns feel like toys. borderlands1s guns werent the best looking or best handling but at least they sounded like guns or gave your enemies real impacts to the point of shooting limbs off corpses.
Haha.. and then on BL3 they run 😂😂
And the story wasnt the best. It was ok. Not good. Ok. Bl2s story was carried by handsome Jack. Had the villain been even slightly different and the game would've crashed. The game was even more batshit crazy than bl3 at times. And M10 is far better balanced than op10
I kind of like that when it comes to borderlands it makes the game more original
@@aamir6892 well i loved borderlands 2 story played it so much over. I agree with the storying being carried by jack but it was fun by what i remember
Love seeing those HYPERION CASTERS!
I came up with a build that allowed me to solo DP with Krieg using elemental Infinitys and grenades- it was a blast. Son of Crawmerax was the best of the additional raid bosses but fighting Terramorphus never got old.
"ign gave it a 9, that speaks volumes"
no it doesnt lmao
Slot machines were actually pretty good for starting new alts. On your current high level character send your trash guns to your next alt. Have them sell those high level guns for tons of cash and blow it on the slots which at low level are super cheap since the prices scale with level. This will get you a lot of eridium for staring your new alt out when you finally get around to it.
The problem with Slag was that you had to hit the target with Slag then swap to the electric/fire/corrosion weapon to actually kill the target and often you had to rinse and repeat this over and over to kill one enemy. If it had stood on its own then it would have been fine but it didn't.
As a casual player, my main complaints right now is the wonky collision on some things. Objects that look like you can drive over wind up stopping you like you drove into a brick wall
Late to the conversation here, but UVHM's difficulty was often overestimated by those that played every mission, and dlc to completion on each playthrough, because they would arrive on UVHM as a level 54-55 character, but the weapons and shields etc would have been capped at 50. Fighting enemies at level 56-57. when even your legendaries are 6 levels too low, it feels like you are hitting them with pea shooters. After those first couple of hours, it evens out, when you start finding level appropriate gear, but that first impression sticks with you.
BD2 with BD3 gameplay would be pure eridium and they already have skill trees to improve and work with.
For example I love playing as Krieg but late game you really only have melee to depend on making guns kinda useless.
this is my favorite game of all time. i always end up going back to it with the many fun vault hunters, cool weapons, and amazing atmosphere. the characters were as animated as they could be and all had their unique quirks which makes it so fun to traverse through this version of pandora and also just the different kind of places you have like the highlands, the dust, three horns. it all makes it fun and addicting to grind for loot and max out your vault hunters (also i love slag personally, it added depth to the combat and strategy and i personally loved it and same with OP levels bc it added challenge but that is just preference + it is optional)
Also, Borderlands 1 version of Slag was the Pestilent Defiler, Hellfire, and Volcano guns.
To quote a tumblr user regarding jack: “the va really put his whole [censored for youtube] into it” and I really think that sums up daemon’s performance
Bro, the propaganda the game provides throughout the maps and the coolness of how geek the devs are is just freaking great!
I’ll be honest this is the game I played first and is the reason I went back to play the first game when my friend showed me this game back in 2012 I had no idea it was gonna be one of my favorite games of all time
I love that you can reach max level in BL2 just with the story content. There's enough content in the game to reach level 50-80 in a single playthrough. This isn't true on BL, BLTPS, or BL3. In all of those games you either have to reset the story an additional time, or grind xp somewhere. I mean you have enough content to get 50-72, and even when they raised the level cap by 8 with the fight for sanctuary DLC, you still could reach that level without touching that DLC. Hell I don't even have to touch captain scarlet so i can still get a level 80 sandhawk and pimpernil.
Mmm idk man I beat the game and I only got 38 levels
If you took scaling from TPS or BL3 and applied it to Bl2 and fixed skill point scaling and applied the changes the mods made to skills you would make the perfect borderlands 2. Slag is totally a crutch as it removes a singular weapon slot for that purpose and most of the time that weapon will be a moxxi pistol (rubi or grog) or slagga. it also forces you into choosing skills that can give you slagging abilities on characters like Axton just to bring up their usability of the turret
I loved bl2. But the end game scaling is bad. And the last update made the game impossible to play on op levels.
LOUDER. And every vault hunter uses the same 8 weapons. And no, the bee isnt a shield. Its a weapon.
XandreTheKnight there are tonnes of viable endgame weapons. At least pre OP 10
The last update brought a good dlc with a raid boss, but the op scaling is unplayable. It cost like millions to buy ammo and 2 raid bosses have like double hp.
Fussy toy it’s not impossible lol, far from it in fact
@@MichaelDoesStuff- I'm not going to spend $10,000,000 for ammo when the cap is $99,999,999. Plus theres alot of people using modded shit in the game. Its rare to find people that play legit.
as some1 who grew up farming god wars dungeon in runescape, the boss farming has always been my fav thing in borderlands 2
Only for borderlands 3 to take us backwards and disappoint!!!
I actually really enjoyed borderlands 3
@@BugsyFoga Gameplay is great, (unless we are talking about the COV badasses and their damn op rocket launchers that have yet to be nerfed) Fuck the BL3 story and its writers.

Borderlands is one of my favourite, if not my single favourite series of all time.
Even during its lowest, it drops down to merely "meh" and going even that low is rare.
I think I'm in the minority, but 1 is my favourite, despite 2 being an objective improvement in most ways.
This series has brought me so much joy over the years
Time to start another playthrough! 😁
I see a lot of people saying that Handsome Jack is one of the best villains in video game history. I do not disagree, but I do take issue with that statement. It's not because it's wrong, but because it's too small. I love storytelling in every form it takes, whether through games, books, movies, plays, poetry, etc. I have engaged with many stories and many villains, and I do not think I am wrong in stating that Handsome Jack isn't just one of the best villains in video game history, but one of the best villains of all time across all forms of storytelling. He is one of the rare perfect villains. He gets you to hate him from the the very first moment, and then continues to build that hatred over the course of the game to the point that, by the time of the final showdown, you don't just want to kill him, you HAVE to kill him. He manages to push you past that point of "This guy is a real dick, and I kinda want to kill him just to shut him up" to being in that strange space where every fiber of your very soul is demanding his blood. He sucks you in, and almost gets you to sympathize with him at times, only to turn around and use that sympathy as a weapon to rip your soul in two, and he laughs while doing it. A lot of modern stories try to portray a smug, arrogant, charismatic egomaniac for a villain; few do it well; even fewer get it perfect. Borderlands 2 and Handsome Jack did. He is just one of those timeless characters who, regardless of time period or social climate, will always be just as hateable as the day he was first brought to life. Perfect villains are rare, but Jack is one of them, and true fans of storytelling should do themselves a favor and experience this story for themselves if they haven't already.
While I agree that HJ is one of the "best" villains of all time, he's not nearly as close to the top of the list as you think he is, IMO.
There are amazing characters out there like Darth Vader, Ric Flair, Mr. Freeze, Hannibal Lecter, Joker (arkham... Mark Hamill and animated series in particular), Kaiser Soze, Lex Luthor, Hans Gruber, Annie Wilkes, Cruella De Vil (best name BTW), Norman Bates, Freddy Krueger, Magneto, Grand Admiral Thrawn... I mean, the list goes on and on. Is HJ on the list? Of course.
He's just nowhere near the top of that list. That's in no particular order btw, just off the top of my head, significantly better villains. I'm not even counting IRL "villains" either, as those wouldn't be fictional.
Mr. McMahon, Loki, Voldemort, Michael Corleone, Dracula... There are even some I'd place higher from a pure "that is awesome" perspective, like Goldfinger or the T-800. Not amazing writing or character, just amazing villains. Dr. Doom falls into this category as well, though he's got quite a bit more character. Hell, Starscream fits in here, too, despite his character being "I'm evil and hate my evil boss" I'd even give a pass to an icon or two, like Bowser or Gannon. They're just too ingrained into our culture to be left off the list, despite lackluster writing. Even guys like Ebenezer Scrooge and the six fingered man make the cut here, along with El Guapo.
Yeah, Handsome Jack is an amazing villain, but he's very far from the greatest of all time. Top 100 for sure, top fifty maybe, but he's not in the top twenty and nowhere near the top ten.
@@iami3rian394 lmao Mr. Freeze, the chick from 100 dalmatians, freddy, and loki are all better than Handsome Jack no

I'm not sure I understand the argument for slag. "Because you have different elements that work in different situations against specific types of enemies, it makes this element that you NEED to use on EVERY enemy okay." The point is that you're supposed to use different elements based on the situation, and slag is just mandatory (In most cases anyway), which is kind of lame. (Still a huge fan of BL2, one of my favorite games ever made.)
I’m surprised he didn’t mention about the awful level grind to 72/80.
Just l use an xp mod on pc that tripes or doubles your xp gained.
didnt find it awful. farming tubbies and uranus was pretty fun and i got cool loot
Two things I love about BL2 that weren't mentioned - 1) the enemy variety was much better than BL1 and 2) in addition to Jack, BL2 had good supporting NPC's that were a complete hoot (Tiny Tina, Hammerlock, Ellie)
None of the npcs besides brick and handsome jack made me laugh or even relate to or feel sorry for them. I feel more emotionally attached to lotus from warframe and she’s in my head even more and does a lot less shutting up than angel does.
I love how the pre sequel has an amazing story but it’s the lack of Xp that ticks me off since farming xp and side quests were the main way to lvl up in the story
My favourite BL2 quote: "Time for die!"
The Borderlands ain’t no place for no hero, ain’t no place for no better man.
Everything was good until uvhm. I had a mate I ran through the game with and one we started uvhm he started rage quitting and leaving me to fight everything on my own...
It was years later after I made some new friends that I got into uvhm and builds and started doing the raid. I still hear that music in my head when I think of digistruct peak
Also something that doesn't get mentioned is the online community, the borderlands community is the best and most helpful.
before watching this video i never realised some people hated slag, I absolutely love it so I just assumed everyone else did based on how many videos on the grog nossle people made when dragon keep came out

Great video bro ...
I agree.
I love this freaking game.
And now it's standard for all looter shooters for me.
Borderlands 2 is friggin awesome. Everything about it kicked ass! I played it at launch, and I love playing it on my Nintendo Switch. It’s perfect. 😄
The wife and I are huge Borderlands fans. I'm ashamed to admit that we just recently went back to (since launch) and finished 3, along with all the DLC. While waiting for the Krieg DLC to drop we started the series over on Xbox One with Borderlands GotY. We're almost done the main campaign with that.
Dude f off giving me nostalgic feelings for my favorite shooter of all time..its up there with silent hill 2 as my favorite game
I still play this game Today.
All I need to say on the slag bit compared to the other element for the characters that couldn't hold 2 guns at once you had to swap to a slag gun just to swap back to your damage gun thats why people were so annoyed with it
Magic missile :)
My only issue with BL2 is that it gated progression behind insanely difficult New Game Plus modes, one of which was paid DLC. Therefore, someone who doesn't play UVHM (like me) will never see top rarity items like pearls, seraph etc.
It would also be nice to have real time level scaling for all DLCs as well as some sort of scaling for the main game (for instance enemies would scale to player level minus one or two, like AC Odyssey). Post-final boss scaling for normal mode (like TVHM has) would also be great.
But yeah, this proves how much I like this game because I simply would like to have more freedom to enjoy all that content, without being restrained to certain level brackets
this is one of the best games ive ever had the pleasure of playing
Literally wouldnt mind just more borderlands 2 then anymore games
literally all I'm playing right, now let's go boys
what i love about borderlands 2....
Salvador flicks off enemies and cheats death
It’s flip
I never got the slag hate either. Just play on OP1 or 2 if you can’t keep up
Right people that say op levels are impossible are just terrible at the game
Thank you sir i loved slag it was amazing for uvhm and 4 of 6 of the characters have it built in and oplvls i loved too edit slag was great too because you boost kinetic damage on op lvls so you dont "need" the correct element
The best game of the series. And those DLC were amazing. It’s not far fetched to say that Tiny Tinas Assault on Dragons Keep was the best piece of content to come from the series to this day.
I hope you see the new wonderlands content then lol
borderlands 3 is better
yo that parts mod looks nifty i have never seen anyone use that
I would have been perfectly content with a fourth playthrough and maybe another ten levels.
the less playthroughs of that shit game, the better
@@chewee4ever811 0 playthroughs is always an option.
@@dee5298 agreed
That snowman dlc is an easy way to get good gear. I only really found out ten years later 😂
I played it with my ex gf on Xbox full clear - all achievements, she played a mechro and I Axton. She always equipped all slots with slag weapons and I take 4 different elements, and together, in this como we totally rocked da game.
Put a lot of time into this game when it came out, and I'm putting in another couple hundreds now during my current playthrough.
I've said it before but, elements in games REALLY need an overhaul. Make each truly unique.
Make electricity bounce to nearby enemies and deal more damage the closer or many enemies are.
Fire spreads, and enemies catch fire as well along with burns that makes them drop their weapons and unable to handle them, also deals more the closer they are to each other as it only raises the heat.
Water spreads over an area where it hits and weakens enemies armor but heals allies more, plus the classic static plus water combo of course "John Romero's lightning in Quake"
I don't like straight out weaknesses to elements but rather that the element's properties are what gives it an advantage against certain enemies.
Otherwise it's simply the same point and shoot game but tedious back and forth rock paper scissors.
If you want to see this at it's worst play Spiral Knights. Grind grind and grind for ONE weapon to become better, with one element. Then see how it shreds one enemy type, while the rest feel like hitting a train with a feather.
Slag should be in a different element system. For example a weapon with air element might make enemies lighter, which makes any pull ability much more effective since they pretty much don't have any friction. Allowing for a fun combo.
Slag if implemented right in such a game, could be useful or essential. My best guess for a pure damage boost element would be one scaling with weakness.
Giving more damage the bigger the gap is from the enemy's health and your gun. Or make your effects last longer and boost them.
Like an element made for supports and utility based characters to allow them to be deadly, while at the same time being a minor boost to already huge DPS cannons.
Would love to see this implemented in an MMO.
I never knew people hated slag
I loved it
The problem with slag was that it was so necessary it doesn't matter if we only have to use element compared to three, it was the fact that it was so needed at all. Literally if Borderlands took out Slag, then it would be the greatest game ever made. Having something so annoying and yet making it litteraly the only option just ruins the endgame for me.
4:53 can someone please Tell me what the name to the mod that says the weapon parts is
Borderlands 1 is the only one in the series I've ever finished. The rest just don't hold my attention. But Borderlands has me coming back frequently to play through on new characters, through new game and new game plus, getting all the way to level 69 (hehe, that's the s3x number :3)
I like slag's existence, what I don't like is the reliance on it. If enemies on uvhm were balanced to require element matching OR slag I'd be happy. Instead it requires both
Also playthrough 2+ should allow you to tackle missions in different orders
Just a quick comment to say that when BL2 came in, I never played looter shooters, farming wasn't my thing. But the charm of the environment and the good story just drive me into it, one, ten times.
And of course, I played this game for Handsome Jack, and as a french player, the voice acting is played by Christophe Lemoine, the french voice of Eric Cartman, and a legend of voice acting in France. Delightful.
easily top 5 games of all time for me...graphics, story, weapons, music just delicious
