I assume it was tech that they reversed engineered to make their dope as weapons and defense turrets. Either that or his siege mustache with a note saying “one day a you’ll need this for a rough road ahead”.
There is an ECHO Log in the Meridian Metroplex that is a recording of an Interview with Rhys on his Re-Founding of ATLAS.
When asked about how he managed to get ATLAS back in the game, he replies "Ancient Alien Tech... Just Kidding!". There's more to the Log, but the potential is there for that _not_ being a joke.

The holy sandwich, that’s only in 2 frames
The reason is: In Borderlands 3 one of the NPC's will be starving and will enter that house to find some food so he doesn't starve. But then, there's no food except for that sandwich, which was on the floor for 5 years and it got spoiled. The NPC dies of Intestine cancer. Moral of the story: Always put sandwich on a refrigerador.

I think the Jack AI was a missed opportunity. It would have been more interesting if Nakayama had a copy of Jack's mind before he went insane, and a part of his story arc could have been about him coming to terms with his post-madness self's actions and the death of his daughter.

That's an interesting idea, but considering Nakayama died after Jack did, it'd be pretty safe to assume that Nakayama knew Jack as Handsome Jack, and that would be the version of him he cloned because it was the most "updated" version.
@@michaelgaston1481 he also constantly speaks of having cloned "Handsome Jack" in big game hunt and is eager to make him as evil as possible, although he has been trying to create "Jack-AI" since mid-game Pre-Sequel, where Jack was still "normal"
@@michaelgaston1481 Nakayama knew who Jack was before he became Handsome Jack though. We saw the creation of the first version of the Jack AI, which was based on pre-madness Jack's psyche in TPS. Knowing how obsessed Nakayama was obsessed with Jack, one could imagine that he would keep previous versions of the AI as well as several backup copies.
I feel like this is one of the 3 telltale games that were truly great. It was a gamble too considering that borderlands was never the most story centric games and known for being a loot and shooter.

A new voice actor and a great Siege-Mustache!
I enjoyed Tales, but watching this video made me realize how god-awful those animations were.
That’s because every 3D model was animated by hand. Telltale used to use its own rendering engine, which doesn’t actually have a physics engine: this means every person walking, falling and so on was completely animated by hand. This ultimately led Telltale to its doom.
Every time I play this game I can’t help but appreciate all the hard (and kinda unnecessary) work spent in animating *every single* 3D asset to look as good as it could.
@@leoshork I wouldn't say that's exactly what led to their doom, it was more of *making too many games at once and all of them that say the story is tailored by how you play but in reality it really isnt and the choices are unsatisfying and certain events within the story happen no matter how hard you try to avoid it.*

Yeah, from what I heard the fact that they were buying many licenses at once caused a great quality loss in their products, but another factor was the fact that they sticked to the Telltale Tool instead of using well-established, less buggy and easier to use game engines like Unreal Engine 4: this caused a lot of unnecessary hard-work for the devs.
Regarding the choices, I think the games where the choice system was at its best were:
- Tales from the Boderlands (in the last episode you can choose three characters to assemble the Vault Hunting team, and the cutscenes vary a lot depending on that)
- The Walking Dead (haven’t really played it but I have seen a lot of videos regarding the various choices),
- The Wolf Among Us (you can choose to play as the Big Bad Wolf or kinda redeem yourself and be a good cop)
- and also Minecraft: story mode season 1 ep. 1-4 (like in Tales, in the second episode you can choose where to go, and basically the entire episode changes depending on the choice).
That was great because choices don’t have an impact on the final outcome of the story, but the characters will.
For example in Tales, depending on the choices:
- Loader Bot can either love you or hate you, and you can also apologize to him;
- Yuu can choose whether to save Yvette or not;
- You can decide on the romance between Rhys and Sasha;
- You can choose whether to trust Jack two times during the story;
- You can choose whether to rule or reject Hyperion
All these choices ultimately lead to some characters agreeing to join your VH team, and others refusing, or being dead like in Felix’s case.
Everything is so immersive that the player will actually feel bad if he chooses to treat badly the guys around him.
Also, I get it would be neat for the story to end differently depending on the choices, but it's not about the destination: it's about the journey.
We don’t watch a movie to see it end, we watch it because we enjoy the story and the characters.
Of course I get what you were getting at: I’ve heard that more recent Telltale games basically had no choices, like Guardians of the Galaxy.
TL;DR: Telltale tool was buggy and caused unnecessary work, and was one of the factors in the bankruptcy;
The choice system was really good in earlier games, because it affects the story and the characters;
The latest games don’t really have interesting choices, consequence of the fact that they were hunting for too many licenses at once.

Funny story, I actually played this game before the pre sequel. So the characters introduced in that game were new for me here; and meeting them in the pre sequel was like experiencing a nice little Easter egg or something.

I thought they uncovered the vault of the traveler, and it just did /tp on them.
The vault was constantly teleporting with its monster guardian until Gortys was completed to lock the vault in place... Along with its monster guardian.
Honestly the ending for Jack in this game was so much more emotional. Especially with how well the characters are established... this just goes to show you that even if the graphics don’t look amazing, a good story and characters really drive it home :)

In "slight" defense of The Pre Sequel, I kinda like the BL1 Fyrestone theme remix from the Claptastic Voyage DLC.
Best part and also the only good part
I like Pre-Sequel because of the lobotomite Oz smashing and the mobility it provides, I feel like the skills are a baby step above 2 and aren’t just like “their thing” and damage upgrades if you get what I mean. It’s a little bit shorter than the others and there isn’t much need for grinding between areas which is definitely present in 2. I like Jack’s character development and Claptrap is about 10% less annoying which is the ultimate plus.

Yeah IDK aye, not being as good as BL2 doesn't mean TPS isn't good in it's own right, I'd generally rank it above BL1, and it still edges out 3 in terms of story/writing at least. And finally your PC actually gets a few lines and some character development in now and then rather than being a walking, shooting, only-talking-in-combat mannequin. It's a little like when people compare open world games to The Witcher 3 and say it's not as good so don't bother, not being as good as something that's one of the best examples of it's kind doesn't make something bad IMO. Long story short, 2 > TPS, but TPS is still a worthy entry worth playing

For a game series known for looting and shooting I actually think this is my favorite of the series. I like the world of borderlands and like more story based stuff and developed characters

it´s slow paced at points, pickle is annoying as hell, there isn´t much endgame, walking across open maps without a vehicle is even worse than it was in bl2 and it´s the easiest game in the series in terms of difficulty.

OMG YES!!! story and writing in the pre sequel is my favorite! Your character (Athena for me..she is one of the best borderlands characters) was actually taking part in conversations and was active overall and also seeing more of handsome jack from a different perspective made the game soooo interesting . only thing I didn't enjoy as much was the gunplay, the guns just felt different and maybe less powerful in some sense.
