This is a sad thing to see in today's world. Newton didn't tear his acl in his first season.. Neither did Luck. How can you make that comparison? It's about RG3's health so I don't see how it's racist. And both Haynesworth and McNabb were overpaid underachievers. Michael please just be quiet and let the man coach

i think that RG3 is the future of the Redskins but the real issue is that RG3 has NO offensive weapons. their defense sucks and now they're 3-10 and the worse thing about the Redskins is that there's no use in tanking the season cause they have no first round pick in the upcoming draft. the Rams get Washington's first round pick cause of the trade wash made to draft the player they're benching in the first place. it's a tough situation this is and i do recall the playoff game where shanahan got grilled for not benching RG3 when he got hit early in the game.

"Portis was released by the Redskins after failed contract re-negotiations and repeated injuries" def sounds like Shanahan's doing...
Also, Portis was traded by Denver for arguably the best Cornerback at the time, Champ Bailey and a 2nd round pick. You would be an idiot not to grab a lockdown corner and a 2nd round pick.

But seriously, Griffin resembles Pete Maravich - an incredibly gifted athlete who developed too many bad habits from coaches who gave them too much freedom and whose recalcitrance reared its ugly head when asked to do something different. Would they do that to Andrew Luck? Would Andrew Luck have the same attitude? If not, the question is a non-starter.
