it's wild how we all have tolerance for our region's weather. I'd be freaking out in an earthquake but i can't eeem lie i'd still be driving down i-35 in that storm like dang lemme pull over so my dad don't get mad at me--IS THAT A COW
I was born and raised in Cali and I will NEVER get used to earthquakes. The slightest shake will have me grabbing my go bag and running to my car.
Living in Texas I promise you, tornadoes 🌪 do no phase me at all. I’m like they’ll let me know when it’s REAL serious lmao but earthquakes hurricanes all that stuff that’s away from the Midwest I’m out. ✌🏾

Finally a family that actually feel like home
I live in Louisiana and when it rains it brings a bonus package. The way I would keep my kids calm is we would sing. The song of Elijah, there's no God like Jehovah. Praising God it's the most calming thing to do when a storm hits.
I would’ve “got somewhere” and sat down during that storm.

You remember during a storm back in the day Big Momma would cut off all the lights and you had to sit still and be quiet while God was working!

This is me. I work at a school and one of our kids got knocked down by car. Everyone was freaking out, but once I saw she was, in effect, okay with just a huge patch of skin missing, I sprung into action making calls, calming ppl down, but my heart and BP was at about a thousand. Like the duck, calm above the water, but it's all crazy under water. PS the little girl was probably in a state of shock, but she was super calm too.

Which is very weird considering the level of anxiety I generally operate at. Now that I say it, maybe it’s because of that, lol. When situations arise that actually call for adrenaline and thinking of all possible scenarios, that’s already where I’m operating. It’s just not cool the majority of the time. Sounds like a traumatic thing to happen, especially to a kid though(and be witnessed by a bunch of kids) hope she healed up alright, and well done.

There's just so much I love about this video. Your reaction to the storm was cute. You looked like a big kid and your fear was natural for someone who has never been in a tornado situation. I loved seeing the kids ride with their cousins, Yvette and the sour patch kids, stress eating(lol, the cousins, making memories with the kids, I could go on and on. There was just so much goodness in here.

Just so you know, I live in tornado alley. And while I LOVE storms, a wicked one like that can cause a bit of panic in even us seasoned weather peeps. You handled that well! Your wife is a champ! The way she handled that storm reminds me of myself. I'm usually the last in the house. I actually ran down the street for my little brother when I was a teenager while the sirens were blaring. He could've just gone in his friend's house but I knew my stepmom would be freaking out. So I went and got him. Lol. You have such a beautiful and amazing family! 💜💜

Glad you all were somewhere safe and ok! I've been through a few and seen them starting. Told my neighbors, they thought I was crazy until it parted some trees and heard people screaming and running. Yes I was already inside in my bathroom listening to it all.

Helmets!! You wouldn't believe how many come into the ER from 4-wheel accidents! I'm glad you all had a good time. FYI, I'm terrified of tornados. We get them in the springtime mainly. I didn't see a funnel cloud but you should always watch storms like that because they do hit before being caught on radar sometimes.
