A perfect bright sewing day and your dress is gorgeous. I love the fabric and I can see you now choosing some yarn to match and making a cardigan. Sewing implements make it much simpler now and I can remember my mum pinning material together and also tacking it before sewing. Thank you for taking us along Sarah 😊

I do have to say I don’t think I’ve ever been as calm as you portray on your video while sewing - I find it a bit stressful at times!

Thank you so much Sarah for taking the time to take us along with your making of a new dress. It turned out incredibly. Perhaps at some stage you could go over in a bit more detail, how you put in the pockets as I have never put inside pockets on anything as they have always looked as if they would be far too difficult 🤨. I realise that you put pockets in most things that you make & I love pockets as well, but have never been confident enough to try them. Once again, a lovely new dress Sarah & thanks for the giving of your time, cheers 😊❤️💕👏🥰😍🤗

Thanks Sarah for another lovely sew along. The material is really lovely. I like how you adjust the pattern to suit your body shape and encourage people to have a go. I will need to have a go at dressmaking again at some point. I'm not very tall and it would be good to have clothes custom made for my shape. I also have narrow shoulders too. Hi Frances. Thanks for watching. Shop bought clothes never fitted me well. Despite being curvy it’s funny the areas where I’m smaller. If I don’t adjust, the dress is not so flattering. It’s all a bit of trial and error but I enjoy the process even if it’s not perfect 😊

Your dress is lovely! It looks like it will be comfortable to wear. Isn't the sunshine wonderful. Here where I live, there hasn't been much sun so far this winter.

Hi Geraldine. Thanks for watching and your lovely comment. Definitely get your sewing machine out and give the Indigo a try. To be honest I don’t follow her instructions as she adds interfacing and facings which I don’t like to use. I try and find easier ways of doing things 😊

The dress looks lovely on you Sarah - you did an awesome job! I loved the idea of doing bias around the neckline in the place of facing, it looked really neat. I might have to try that!

I loved the fabric you used, the dress turned out beautiful. I'm a little jealous that you have grass - we are still buried in snow here in New England.
Hi Cheryl. Thanks for watching. We rarely get snow where I live. Stay safe. Definitely get your sewing machine out. My sewing equipment lives in cupboards, so when I sew I like to get the job completed. I have to dedicate a day to do it though 😊

Maybe once a month or every two months, etc ... Would love to see you use the leftover pieces to do something patchwork or quilting, etc ❤ Susannah

I love your Gingham dress...if the shoulders bother you take a little dart in on each shoulder running from back to front...quick and easy fix, I think I have the pattern so must find it and make a dress...you've inspired me 😊
Hi Sue. Thanks for watching. I think the arms are in the wrong way round. I’ll probably take them out and re insert them. Thanks for your advice though. Give the indigo a go. I don’t follow a her instructions though 😊

I may be very wrong, but you might have put your left sleeve in the right armhole and vice versa. It’s easily done with Gingham as it’s reversible. Xx
Yes I think you are right. I’ve started cutting out the sleeves separately rather than on folded fabric as I would end up with two sleeves the same, rather than a left and right. Might have to remove and re insert 😊
beautiful sewing skills please kindly film how to rethread the serger overlock sewing machine by cutting the threads at the top and tying the new threads together at the top of the serger sewing machine to make rethreading it fast and easy please ok ?thank you very much 😊
Hi and thanks for watching. You seem to know how to thread the overlocker. Each machine is a bit different and it’s quite hard to get the camera into that small space. I am not doing a tutorial but just bringing you along with me as I sew. 😊
