    I've had the LC9s for 6 years. Never a malfunction. Easy to take down. Slips into my pocket like a bar of soap. I've thought of getting the Max 9 just for the extra capacity, but since I already shoot the LC9s well, why bother? There will always be a slightly better pistol coming down the pike.

    • @billingsfmx
      @billingsfmx  Před 2 lety +3

      Yeah, I was in the same boat. Side by side they shoot really similar! Only reason I justified the Max 9 is my brother wanted to buy my Lc9s. Seems like they always change things just enough to make us want to buy something else. Some of it is progress but some of it is just the consumer in me wanting the newest bestest shinyest thing hahaha.

    I have the Ec9s for my edc. I have added a hogue grip sleeve, 2 magguts kits for 2 magazines making them 8+1, an Aegis precision trigger and glow on sight paint on the sights so I can shoot in the dark if needed. After seeing the front sight fall off of my wife's Smith EZ 380 with no hard carry issues I now have great appreciation for sights that can't fall off, get loose, batteries die, or get knocked out of line. I carry it in an urban carry lock leather owb holster that conceals comfortably and securely in a very minimalistic package. I use underwood extreme defender +p ammunition. I have also held both of these firearms and the max 9 didn't feel quite as good as the Ec9s.

    Not enough difference in the two guns to warrant the new purchase... Also the lc9s pro is much more snag resistant and drawable the rear sight is tapered front sight tapered everything smooth on sides as well as the trigger guard... For the people commenting that Kel-Tec is comparable to Ruger that is an asinine statement that shows you do not know anything about firearms... My lc9s pro has never had a failure to feed or eject in 7 years. Keltec you usually get seven rounds before malfunctions, Keltec is barely a step up from high point and the ergonomics are pure shit just like the reliability.

      Yes I agree, not a whole lot of difference between the guns, both shoot great. I was able to sell the lc9s to my brother for his first gun, otherwise I wouldnt have got the max9. The companies always change just enough to make weak minded consumers like me want the newest bestest thing, haha ill admit it. I see your point on the snagging, but I think depends more on the holster and training with the gun you intend to use. Ive never had either gun hang up on anything with my draw or set up, but thats just my experience. Yeah Kel Tec makes some interesting guns at a lower price point. Not sure if id trust my life with one. Id keep it as a fun range toy or better yet....a paper weight hahaha. Thanks for watching!

    I have both the LC9S w/safety and the Max 9 pro w/o. Both triggers are very light for their purpose of use(subjectively). There is no margin for error with those triggers. I actually feel a little more comfortable with the LC9S with the safety on for carry. For what I do professionally the couple less rounds is a little less weight and slightly better streamlining of the LC9S is my preferred carry, when concealing all day and meeting with clients. The little less weight the slightly more streamlined but still able to carry a nine works. Will still make use of the Max just not during business hours

    • @billingsfmx
      @billingsfmx  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Totally understandable, some people definitely like the extra security of a safety. With a good holster protecting the trigger I like my carry pieces one in the chamber no safety. I ended up putting a red dot on the max 9 as well. Sure it is a little more weight and now a little taller with the red dot but it definitely helps someone who cant practice all the time shoot better. Both great ones from ruger!
